When you say in the instructions to copy the 1.7.5 folder you never say where to paste it into ( I assume the version folder).
My launcher is also saying loading versions, and as I am posting this there is no problem with my connection and help.mojang is all green right now. I've downloaded the libraries and put them where you have said, since so many people are posting
since so many think the JSON file is whats the problem, here is mine - I had no idea what i was doing most of it is copied off others
Info
This does not require Forge or FML.
It is a little more difficult to install this.
You will have to do some copy-paste and text file editing.
I will make an installer later. That will take more time.

I have a problem with shaders mod : the game run fine without shaders packs, but when i activate one, the game instantly crash, without any error log...
I've tried older versions like 1.6.4, 1.6.2, 1.5.2, and other versions of forge or shader mod, but it alway crash.
my minecraft is actually in version 1.7.2 with the latest version of forge and shader mod for 1.7.2.
I have a 675mx and a I7 3630QM, and shader mod worked before, so i don't think it's a hardware problem.
Could somebody with a working JSON file post a pastebin link?
The installer will still be extremely helpful, but for now a working JSON file would be good.
I'm not sure if this has been found out, but when struggling to install 1.7.4 optifine and 1.7.4 shaders together, I just gave up and combined the contents of optifine zip into the shaders jar. (both worked alone, yet wouldn't worked together) I didn't even need to touch the .json again, and Optifine and Shaders ran together in harmony. This seems simpler than the instructions a few pages back, so I thought I would just point it out.
I did everything, but it when I start the launcher, it says: "Ready to update & play Minecraft 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.3.14".
But when i press play, nothing happens. The loading bar loads up but that's it. Someone knows whats up?
Hey everyone who was having the issue with the 1.7.5 launcher not launching where it only shows the green loading bar but doesnt actually load the game i have managed to find out what was the cause...
its very simple all you need to do is inside your versions file, locate the 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.3.14 file. After you have done that go inside that folder and remove the .jar from the 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.3.14.jar file. Basically the launcher was trying to launch the correct file but the file it was trying to launch was 1.7.5-ShadersMod2.3.14.jar.jar simple bit of confusion and i suggest that the instructions should be updated to help others avoid this fault in the mean time until an installer is made.
That's because you use Windows Explorer with "Hide file extension" feature enabled.
If you add another .jar in file name. Its real name will be xxx.jar.jar which is wrong.
Just rename the name part. Don't add extension.
I will update instruction to clarify this.

arg, Forge 1.7.4 isn't out how am I supposed to use it when its not updated.
Finally got it to work, but you missed some steps in your explanations and need to make some corrections...
I would post the issues and what needs to be fixed, but no one read my posts anyway...
Well, I was going to post a reply five minutes ago until you said you fixed it, lol.
I saw that 2/3's of the missing libraries had "twitch" in the name, and one had something to do with the Minecraft Launcher wrapper. The Mubecraft Launcher Wrapper part is mentioned when you have to edit mainclass.
Also, most people, including me, don't really know much about code here. Some people even spread out lies here. Most people that help are doing it voluntarily.

Luckily I know enough about code to weed through the nonsense, but thank you!
Just wanted to post here in case anyone else did what I did when I couldn't get the game to launch at all when trying to use the Shaders Mod 1.7.5. I started with a fresh install of Minecraft 1.7.5 today and followed along with JohnnyBrando's detailed instructions.
What I did incorrectly was put .jar into the name of the .jar file (because I needed to do this with the .json file) and that is the only reason why the game wouldn't launch.
So: put .json into the name of the .json file but DO NOT PUT .jar onto the .jar file and you should be okay.
