Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move
I must say, I agree. I understand that in nature, there are creatures that have vibrant and stand-outish colours for a variety of reasons. Birds are one of the most well known examples. However, let's look at some other species. Mammals. Mammals today hold many niches once held by dinosaurs. There are very very few mammals with stand-outish colours, and even when they do have them, they still blend into their background. Camouflage is a much more important tool than vibrant colours for, say, attracting mates. Reptiles, as well, are more commonly camouflaged. Birds and fish are the easiest examples to think of. If the dinosaur is feathered, I think that crazy colours is fine, but if it is scaled, I'd prefer camouflage.
ALSO: I still think that there should be a config option for the yellow-purple-orange Dimorphodon. It was one of the most memorable mobs.

The lack of bright colors in mammals is due primarily to the fact that mammalian fur doesn't have the same range of pigments feathers do. In addition, the sheer size of many dinosaurs would have made camouflage virtually useless, particularly in open areas.

But Dan, even the biggest of dinosaurs must have some hiding spot. For example, there's a short film called Prehistoric Beast, where even a gigantic Tyrannosaurus could stalk its prey while slipping through the environment unnoticed.

Also bary lived in/near water, where even the largest of animals could hide, given the right colors. Heck, even the thirty foot long anaconda today is virtually invisible at times!

Well, look at our Baryonyx. It has dark green feathers and a lighter underbelly, with yellow/brown skin. It's fairly well-camouflaged aside from its red mane, which is for display anyway.

Ah, well, thanks for teaching me something new (The Fur-Pigment thing). I guess that does make sense, however, the larger predators of today, such as Bears and Lions, have camouflage. For sauropods I think that it's understandable -they won't be able to hide anywhere- but Tyrannosaurs, Spinosaurs and Carcharodontosaurs should have camouflage, in my opinion. However, your mod is yours to make, and it will remain the best prehistory mod no matter what happens to it (Within reasonable limits).
On a different subject, is coding progressing? Are you still looking for more coders?

We weren't even gonna release this version; but since the download isn't working, you guys need to get the mod from SOMEWHERE.
