I've generated an empty nether world and build a tall tower inside. The tower goes up to y:210.
Dynmap doesn't render the tower all the way to the top but cuts it off. I'm assuming this is because the nether normally has a low ceiling.
Is there a way to have dynmap render this nether world with a height set to something like y:250?

Fihgu's command mod works quite well. It lets you assign diferent permissions for command and subcommands, so you can enable /dynmap radiusrender but deny /dynmap fullrender, for example. It hooks into the actual command code in forge, I've had pretty good luck with it so far.
Cool - I need to give that a look, and at least confirm that it works with our commands.

Yep - we clip nether at 128, since a normal nether would be rendered as a big flat plane of bedrock otherwise (i.e. the top of the "ceiling"). I'll need to add an option for the override, since its not particularly detectable - 'normal' nether is 256 high, too; it just has 128 blocks of air above the inpenetrable bedrock roof at y=127.

How come i can see some dynmaps on my browsers and others i cant. For example im at work right now and i like to can eye on my server but it wont load it from here.. but i go on someone elses and it loads for me.
Usually means you haven't configured your firewall properly to allow access - see http://portforward.com for help with this - we're just a web server that happens to default to port 8123, when it comes to configuring remore access.
Any idea why web chat would be showing up to other web clients, and in the mc server log (which means the string was loaded into the server's address space - should be easy to display at this point..), but not to minecraft clients?
The reverse works, minecraft client chat correctly shows up to web clients.
Using DynmapForge v1.0 for forge v4.2.5 (MC 1.3.2), tried both internal web server and apache.
That's odd - I'll give it a look tonight, and get back to you with my results (or more questions...)
Did you get around to having a peek at this?
I realise you're a bit overloaded with support requests at the moment and I apologise if this is already on your to-do list.
MikePrimm, I have to say, you're my frakkin hero man. Only reason I wanted to go Bukkit was for this mod... (but so many issues with Forge mods!! Yikes!) So, in short, you've made my server members insanely happy when I found this yesterday.
Firstly, running the latest download from today for Forge, with MC 1.4.2, and Forge build 355.
Pair of minor issues though... the issue I quoted here? Yeah, we're having the same problem, and it's a fresh install. The chat from the web made it into the display in the client for the first 5-7 messages, then just stopped completely.
Other issue, which I'm not 100% sure if it's a bug/texture file issue, is pipes from buildcraft all appear as wierd white blocks, Iron Tanks from the newer version of Railcraft are completely missing, and the same is the same from portal blocks from Mystcraft (I did see Mystcraft wasn't on the supported list, so that one atleast makes sense)
Again man, thanks for the Forge support. This mod HAS to be the absolute best for any sort of navigation/map rendering for minecraft...
I dont understand how this would be possible as to view the map you dont have to sign in anywhere? so how could you possibly identify them as viewing the map?
Check the connection using the IP.
If(playerIp matches a player that's not banned)
// Redirect to another page or show a blank page
I've done webdev before so if you can easily check the IP using the same method as the message check, then the check should be really easy
Very good plugin. Nitrado uses the same for their customers ^^ and a pool says that 87% of all Minecraft Servers are using Dynmap, including me.
Congrats.

I'm also having the issues with the chat thing as mentioned above. The browser can see both minecraft chat and dynmap chat, but in the minecraft client, no one can see the chat from the browser.
FYI I'm running 1.4.4 on vanilla minecraft server.
Except it's so trivial to get around the author may as well not bother.
I'm not talking about embedding a redirect and then a frame, I'm talking about making it integrate it when the client makes requests for chat or tiles or even attempts a connection. Well it seems like a trivial change so I'm hoping that it can easily be implemented but it'd be nice to have the dev's input into it.

... did I really ask that?
Are you able to add this feature? Should only be a small one =)
It is actually supposed to work - but only for IPs, since accessing the browser doesn't involve a user ID by default. You CAN enable login security, and then prevent folks that are not logged in from either seeing the map at all OR from being able to chat.
Is there a way to show Mystcraft worlds in Dynmap? My Mystcraft worlds currently reside in folders DIM_MYSTx and are not shown in Dynmap world list. I am using FTB modpack for 1.4.2 and appropriate Dynmap version.

It'll show em, you may have to tell it to render to make it show quicker. Also, it doesn't load them until you've entered them atleast once Iv'e noticed.

The new release applies to the following platforms:
