Oh, a suggestion. How about making livingmetal tools repairable with souls? Currently, the rate at which it heals per soul compared to how fast it gets destroyed when killing is slower, so over time, the tool will still break, no matter how you try to conserve it. Or maybe give it the old regeneration back, but much, much slower, while making absorbed souls give a flat amount of durability back, like it currently does.

Hmm... I'll see if I can make some adjustments to improve them.

hmm.....or absorbing a soul will give a repairing period to livingmetal stuffs for like 1 dura/sec and last for 5 seconds ,if more souls are absorbed in the period, +1dura/sec and +1 second of lasting time.....(complicated maths... @ @

I have the latest version of this mod but the whole spectral glass aspect wont work, as well as growing biomass but everything else is fine. Why?

I'm working on texturing various mods to go with a certain texture pack, and while working on the textures for the hemoglobin in the Harken Scythe mod, I came across something I thought was somewhat strange. When I inserted the texture into the texture pack the hemoblobin's texture seemed somewhat broken:


I tried various things to fix it and at one point I removed the transparent outer layer of the slime completely and upon entering the game could only see the hemoglobin's eye textures. I've narrowed it down to the problem being something along the lines of the transparent outer slime layer somehow overwriting the body texture.

To actually get the body texture I wanted on the slime I had to make both the exterior layer and the body texture the same.

I have yet to work on the ectoplasm but from the looks of it they suffer from the same problem.

It's not a huge problem (really just an inconvenience/pain to retexture) but it is one that might be looked into. With the normal textures the most this really manifests itself as is a missing portion of the upper left corner of the inner body, and transparency to the inner body when it should be opaque.

Edit: Upon looking at it right now I have come to the conclusion that the problem is that the texture for the inner body is not being looked at in the correct spot. The texture for the inner body is being derived from, I believe, the upper left portion of the outer layer. This would explain the hole in the corner and the transparency.


Further testing has shown that my hypothesis was correct.

I took distinctive colors and recolored the texture with them. The top six squares refer to the outer transparent layer of a slime, the bottom six to the inner body. The rectangles to the right are the eyes, which have no texture problems.


Here are the slimes in game. From looking at them you can tell three things:
1 There is a hole in the inner body texture
2 The body texture is not being looked at at all by the game.
3 It is instead using a portion of the transparent layer for the body.

I'm sorry if I'm seeming pushy, overbearing, or obnoxious. I merely wish to report a bug I found, and present any relevant information to aid in its fixing.

when it crash like that i have to remove harken scythe from my mod folder and restart the server without it once or it refuse to load my world.

can i know what you will be adding on next update?

There currently seems to be a bug with the soul entities. Sometimes, they become noncollectable, and keeps disappearing depending on the angle from which you look at it. First situation was when i killed 2 mobs in a very small space with a single Reap. 2nd was when a zombie was killed with a reap just as a creeper exploded. The third and fourth was when my soulsteal I sword successfully reaped a soul. Ill try to reproduce it

no vessel,but keeper,to make it,3 ender pearl in a bucket shape,then right-click on a soul,done

i'm backporting the current sphax textures to mc 1.4.7, but I have a doubt, there is no living metal in Harken Scythe V2.0.1?

would it be too much to ask if you could use a better file source for the pictures? photobucket seems to now block them for me.

Why cant I open any of the spoilers on the second post? I have the same issue with the op on your asgard shields mod... is it just me or is it universal? if its just me how do I fix it...?

IE is only used for downloading chrome or firefox....XD

I would love to see you make soulweave and bloodweave more durable! I absolutely love running around harvesting souls and blood to feast on! But i hate how after a few battles with skellies or zombies makes me run straight home to repair my armor. Even with unbreaking III, they don't last very long at all. The effort needed to actually make the armor is not worth the end result, because they just simply don't last long enough. Maybe if you made it so they repair a little when harvesting or feasting on souls/blood? normally, i would be content on just making livingmetal armor, but i love being able to feast on souls/blood for nice potion effects. Without those armors, there is no point in drinking the souls/blood.
