i would like to suggest quick sand for the mod it would be a nice addition add a little bit of risk if you wander around swamps and marshes at night. also it would make for a good trap for mobs

I was going to, but I figured people would say I copied ExtraBiomes XL again, even though I was the one who added the quicksand to EBXL.

So? if every one was to say you copyied my stuff about every thing. there would only be a hand full of mods left. and the consept of every idea came from another mod same goes for all other mods. honestly the only original mods out there i think are industrialcraft and buildcraft ive never come across mods simmilar to them *Note i do know they share the power network idea*. i would just add it aside for that you have proof of you being the one that made it for EBXL in the first place. there for you copyied your self lol.
What does Quicksand look like? Ive never used EBXL before.
It was basically a copy of cobwebs, but rendered like a normal block, and made so you can suffocate in the quicksand. You'd fall through it slowly, so you'd have time to break the quicksand.

Darn, I was hoping it'd look a little better then that,
This is a great mod and with everyne saying port to forge i agree but in order to use this splendor mod i delete my minecraft to a vanilla minecraft search for modloader mods and use this mods. I do know a programmer who made me a custom mod in bothe forge and modloader. If you want i could get him to help you.
Im just playing around with emotes im kinda new.

it does it looks like a darker mud if im correct its been some time since ive played EBXL it looks quite nice. aside from deserts it could be found in jungles and swamps but less likely in the swamp.
As a matter of fact, it already works on LAN. I've tested it and everything, as long as both sides have the mod installed, LAN should work without any trouble. And it may or may not work for the official server jar, as the client and server are now the same loading system. I plan to test that theory out next.

I'm greatly disappointed about the removal of the sky-lands. Someone should do something. The End is not a satisfactory replacement. -Diehard Sky-pirate
Can you please add an option to generate using only vanilla blocks?
I asked for this awhile back. My concern is that if I want to keep playing a world without this mod (test a forge mod or troubleshoot an error and have to remove this...or any number of other reasons), all the custom blocks would disappear and the world would look like poo.
Unfortunately the answer was no. It would render so many of the unique biomes moot that the author doesn't want to do it and it's his mod so he has the final word. I do hope he changes his mind. Maybe it would make this mod only 10 new biomes (or whatever) but that's fine with me. Still far more than vanilla

You could also use Magic Launcher. It's a great Minecraft launcher. Setup a Biomes O'Pleny/ModLoader profile and a Forge profile then you can switch back & forth as easily as pushing a button. It's awesomely easy.

It'd still look like poo. All of the custom biomes would revert to the Plains biome, and look really crappy. The Ominous Woods would be a light green color, the Mystic Grove wouldn't have a pink sky, etc.
I mean yeah, blocks would be in tact, but it'd still be useless when the biomes aren't unique anymore.
Im going to blank out f***e because I know you dont want to hear it. However Im simply giving a suggestion of why you should. Im not saying you should listen to me, and I dont expect you will. But if you just give this some thought. Nowadays many many mods arent using modloader anymore and almost all of the really popular mods are now using f***e. Keeping this mod with modloader prevents your mod from being compatible with those popular mods, such as mo creatures or millenaire. If you were to change from modloader, your mod would only get better because people like using mods together. Wouldnt it be so much more fun to go to the alps.... and see a polar bear? Anyways, I am just hoping that youll check this out, but I understand if you ignore, thanks anyways

I'm pretty sure if someone wants to make this Forge-Compatible, the Modder will allow them to do so. The Modder has stated he doesn't know how to use Forge and prefers ModLoader.

He stated that since people were insulting him for not making it forge so he isnt going to make it forge
Well in that case, I won't be making it compatible with Forge anytime soon. I don't appreciate being insulted over not using it, and I'm not going to give jerks like them what they want. You guys certainly haven't given Forge a good name from what you said. You've only associated it with elitists who refuse to use mods that don't support it.
So to those who keep asking for Forge support, or slinging rude names at me for not having it, it definitely won't be coming now, and you only have yourself to blame. For those of you who are content with the mod in its current ModLoader-compatible state, thanks for enjoying the mod and not being rude about it.
I'm going to ignore any Forge related posts from now on, so either don't bother posting anything with the word Forge in it, or don't ask me why I'm not responding.
I'd be happy to do a (universal) Forge version for you if you want.
This is a great mod, and I'd be even better if it could run serverside.
I'll be posting the source when I update to 1.4.5 when it's released, so for anyone who wants to take a crack at porting it to Forge can go ahead and do so.

You couldn't just shade the grass/leaves to whatever color you want using the default blocks? Why would this affect the sky at all?
Just asking out of curiosity. I know very little about modding.
