Does anybody know if there's a way to make stalactite and stalagmite stick to blocks other than vanilla stone? I'm using custom world gen mod adding other types of stone, and they don't seem to stick to them.
Inversely, if I'm not able to do that… is there a way to disable stalactite and stalagmite?
In order to make them work with Underground Biomes, I had to rewrite my modded stone classes to extend BlockStone. You'll have to talk to the modder(s) to get it to work.
You can disable generation in worldfeatures.cfg in the BoP config folder.

Geographicraft (formerly Climate Control) - Control climate, ocean, and land sizes; stop chunk walls; put modded biomes into Default worlds, and more!
RTG plus - All the beautiful terrain of RTG, plus varied and beautiful trees and forests.
Does anyone still have a version that works with 1.4.7 (0.4.6 i believe)?? i found 0.4.0 but i need at least 0.4.1 to integrate it with thaumcraft.....
Nice job, but it would be awesome to be able to control what biome you spawn in, (should include sub-biomes) because i can never find a tropics biome. In the config you should be able to control the chance of sub biomes to spawn too.
other than that i think the biomes look beautiful.
In my single player world on CrazyCraft 2.2, I right clicked on the Ancient Staff and it opened a portal. The game crashed when I tried entering the portal. Now whenever I open my world it crashes right away. It briefly shows an "internal server" shutting down message and asks whether to reinstall CrazyCraft. Is there anyway to resolve this problem? Any help would be much appreciated.
I suppose the problem is with the Biomes O'Plenty mod. I am running on Windows 8.1 with 64bit Java 7 Update 71. The Voidswrath launcher runs - I just can't load my world any more.
These packs can now just be dropped in the resources folder and loaded independently from any texture pack.
Hello, Archibald. Nice pack you've made, but I'm curious what you mean by "loaded independently"? EDIT: Nevermind, I decided to try it out and it did work together with my own texture pack rather than just instead of it. I think it looks awesome, thanks so much for your work!
Regarding BOP itself, I'm finding the spawn rate of some biomes is extremely low compared to 1.6.4 to the point of some being non-existent in the 20 worlds I've tested so far with 1.7.10 Not a single jungle, cherry blossom grove, mangrove or origin valley to be found, and only one very small tropical rainforest, yet you better believe there are orchards, extreme hills, plains and forests all over the place ad nauseam. Anyone else having this problem?
It also keeps spawning snow and ice biomes when I don't want them, whether the setting is true or false. How do I successfully disable them once and for all?

How come the mod doesnt appear in the mods list?
The game doesnt crash, but the mod is not working or showing at all, even though I have the jar file in the mods folder
I am having a problem on the 1.7.2 version of this mod, version BiomesOPlenty-1.7.2-2.0.2.934-universal. I found some red wood trees but they are in a Jungle Biome and then when we try to plant the sapplings they will not grow, I have tried putting one down, two down, three down, and 2xx, 4x4, 6x6. A lot of ways but nothing worked, not even bone meal?
So for those interested I've finished the 1.7 BoP support for the Dokucraft texture packs.

Wow man, very well done! Not only do all the textures look really good, you managed to get through them all too I know all too well how painful it is to go through every single one of our blocks (heck, i'm in the process of it now), but it's always gratifying once you get to see the end result. Hopefully shouldn't be too bad for yourself with 1.8, it *should* just be a few file renames once everything is done.
Thought I'd give the latest beta a test drive on 1.8 but I take it it's not test ready yet? I couldn't find an option for BoP driven biome gen on world creation so I'm assuming that is for developers only still?
Im having a rather significant issue with world generation in biomes o plenty. I am using Modsauce 1.0.0.6 and I cannot find dessert biomes and a lot of other biomes. I am not quite sure what is wrong although it appears the mod it's self is working just find considering items and the blocks and everything else load in as it should. My issue is that I cannot find any biomes other than a select few. Any help would be appreciated apart from reseting my world. Thanks.
The mod has worked for me previous to this world so hopefully it can be fixed. Maybe it has something to do with fastcraft which loads chunks faster. Not sure but hopefully someone can help me with a fix.
ok, i know this is a really dumb question, but what files do i need to download? i'm making a start at my 1.7.10 modpack now that i can borrow a pc capable of running modded mc for a few hours, but it's not clear what files i need to download, as changelog being there tels me there is at least one file in download list for 1.7.10 i don't need to run it
I made a Feed The Beast modpack! Simply type "Experiment812390" without quotes into the 3rD party codes area and you can see the mods list and install!

API is for people wanting to add compatibility with their mods (modders), deobf is for people to look at and learn how they cod things, universal is for us to use. It's not poorly made unless you don't know anything about coding whatsoever.

Why was the Promised Land removed? We really loved it and if there's any chance, we want to have it back :-(
also birds i think should be in the main world. they would bring a lot of extra immersion
