- Added the ability to toggle which biomes are generated. Go to the config file in /.minecraft/config/ and scroll down to find alpsGen, arcticGen, etc.
- Added the ability to change biome size (Default is 4). This is also found in the config file. For reference, Large Biomes has a value of 6, and the old Small Biomes world type had a value of 2.
- Removed mod-added world types. It was a sacrifice I had to make to be able to add toggle-able biomes.
- Allowed custom leaves to work with Fast graphics.
- Increased mod compatibility (Specifically with the Big Trees mod and Underground Biomes mod).
- Merged my Magic Mirror mod with this. The Magic Mirror is an "end-game" item that allows you to teleport back to your original spawn point. Check the Description section in the opening post for more info on it.
- Changed the Pasture biome quite a bit.
- Added palm logs/leaves/wood for the Tropics and Oasis.
- Added giant flowers to the Garden biome.
- Various other changes to biomes.
Well I cant use this mod until the issues with the Hard Coded item Ids gets fixed, because I am not going to change all of my IDs in IC2 just to run this mod.

They should be working fine. The items use the IDs in the config file going by how the code is. It has to be a problem on your end, as there doesn't seem to be one on mine.
Thats the config it generated for me, I have heard about some mods where it worked for the creator but for people who DL it, it messed up. That or its incompatible with one of the other mods I use like IC2 or DivineRPG.

The first issue is because gamax didn't port over the changes to village generation. There are a few things that still need ported over to Forge, like Hill and Shore generation, but I haven't heard from gamax in a few days, so I'm not sure when that'll happen.
So if you really want to find villages, turn vanillaBiomesEnhanced to false. They'll still only spawn in the Plains and Deserts, but at least they'll be possible to find.
As for the 2nd issue, it's a problem with vanilla.
Are there any screenshots of the giant flowers out there? Looked back a few pages but didn't see any.
Not yet. I didn't update the one in the first post, because I'm waiting on enchilado (The guy who did the mud tools/armor textures) to do new textures for them. You can find them in the Garden biome now, but they look like crap.
This might seem like a stupid post, but I downloaded the mod and recommended versions of forge. But upon loading Minecraft, I cannot see the different world creation types (I only see Default, Superflat, and Large Biomes). I am using the latest version [1.4.7].

Minecraft loaded okay though.
Yeah, there are no longer new world types. It just uses the Default world type. You can toggle which biomes you want in the config file.
How well does this work with generation from other mods? (eg Thaumcraft, IC2, Buildcraft,Forestry, etc...)
You'll have to test it for yourself. It should generate things from those mods in my biomes, as the creator of the Underground Biomes mod helped me add the rest of the needed Forge hooks into the custom biome decorator for Biomes O' Plenty.
I'm a little new at working with these mods. What exactly do I do with the config file? Do I type the ID of a particular biome/block I want to generate in the game? What are the codes for these biomes/blocks?

Great update.
The pasture biome is soooo much better... I also really like the custom biome size option. Also really like the combination of this with bigtrees, looks great.

You don't have to touch them unless you have conflicting mods. But even then, Forge should resolve the IDs automatically (I think). The main part of the config is being able to toggle which biomes you want to generate, and the biome size for worlds.

Yeah, I realized that it looked like crap with vanilla wheat after seeing it next to other biomes, so I changed it to how my old Wheat Field from my ExtraBiomes add-on was.
so is this compadible with mo creatures, twilight forest, ries minimap, and to many items?if it is ill download it
You'll have to try it for yourself. It should be compatible with them, but mobs from Mo' Creatures will not spawn in the new biomes without Mob Spawn Controls.

Try again with the update I just released.

Yes, the update is out. Changes include:

Edit: factorization conflicts with bop. I changed the first number of the block ID from 4 to 2 and it seems to run fine.
Well thats good to know, maybe its also not generating the new IDs until it successfully launches.
