I am pretty sure i have seen them ingame before. Maybe in older version.
On the other side the polished versions of them were unobtaineble in survival!
Also i always used RTG(realistic terrain generator), perhaps that mods adds them into the world.
Crag Rock has been in survival for 100% sure. Because there was a crag biome.
Crag rock I'll definitely miss. The old crag biome looked great (especially with RTG installed), I haven't seen the new one yet but I'll always hold a softspot for that block
Then it doesn't matter. In 1.10.2, BoP features in Vanilla biomes could not be disabled.
I'll ask srs_bsns if those trees can be excluded from RTG decoration via some config.
A little problem with newest 1.11.2 - 6.1.0.2245 version of BoP (which generates biome config files) :
MC 1.11.2
Forge 1.11.2-13.20.0.2315
When I create new world, choose World Type: Biomes O'Plenty, everything is OK, world is loading.
But when I choose World Type: Biomes O'Plenty, click Customize and change something - then game freeze at screen "Loading World".
The same if I use old worlds, which were customized.
Short version : game crashes if there's something in 'generatorOptions' in level.dat.
1.11.2 - 6.1.0.2244 works properly.

Hello. I was in another forum account which I've lost and didn't care about anymore, and I've been using BOP for years now. I will go and say now that this is probably my most favorite mod in terms of survival gameplay. The locations and themes are fantastic! In my survival world, I'm making a massive tree/wood farm out of not only the vanilla tree types but the plethora of new ones. That's probably my favorite aspect of the mod.
I'm actually hung onto 1.8 and out of date because I find pain in re-downloading everything for each update (That is if I can get everything to work), but I'm considering moving up to 1.12 because I find the new colored blocks feature interesting (This might be a one-time deal). I was wondering how everything is with the 1.12 update. (Right now I see 1.11 version mod). Will it be released soon or sometime next month?
I've also just started working on a Resource Pack and I'm considering implementing support for this mod
I know the modders here, who did good work, probably won't give a dang about what i'm about to say but I think he would have been better off staying with 1.7.10 or keeping a port back there even if it is a ancient, 3 year old version since that was where all the mods are at still.
Okay, so I have gotten 1.12 set up and have implemented the same mods than I did in my previous client on 1.8, including BoP, which is currently in Beta. I was wondering if it's going to function the same as the previous version, or will there be other stuff added later on? Would it be safe if I did a full-on playthrough of Survival in this state? I was planning to do a "Totally niche Minecraft series" (Sarcastically) based on BoP 1.12.
I have done a test an hour ago before posting. Everything seems to be working fine. Though, a bit irrelevant, WorldEdit appears to be somewhat errory whenever I use //set. Other than that, haven't been encountering anything else major with BoP at the moment.
I know, but I am curious if the tropics may get different parrots than the jungles or if some variation like that is planned.
I am one to like variation for variation's sake though. I actually was a bit disappointed when Jungle spiders were ripped out instead of just rebalanced or something for instance (I know they attempted a rebalance before abandoning the mob altogether, but hey, I still liked the idea of some dangerous spider variant in the jungles that ruins you day occasionally still it's their mod so they can do whatever they want with it and if I really wanted them I probably could just make them in MCcreator or something)
At least there's more mo critters alternatives these days.

I just wanted to throw some praise out there. Im usually one of the ones that harped on BOP all the time because of the clutter it left ect. I gotta say the changes made from 1.10.2 to 1.11.2 are simply amazing. Cleaned out alot of the clutter, changed alot of the biomes i think for the better, added back in nether Biomes. I think BOP is definately headed in a wonderful direction. Dont get me wrong im just one persons opinion and it may not even matter Much. I just wanted to say though things look fantastic in 1.11.2.

I wonder how they integrate parrots.
Probably just using the spawn tags already there, but I could be wrong.
Any word on when we'll be able to craft boats out of BoP woods?

Boats are not craftable with BoP wood planks in 1.11.2. Just tested it. Im using the latest BoP for 1.11.2.
Ahh boo. Hopefully resolved soon.
When it did work, did each BoP wood have its own specific boat or did the BoP woods just craft oak boat?

Any chance there will be more customization options like the ones in Vanilla's CUSTOMIZED settings? Would love to tweak some ore occurences.
About the removal of butterflies and snails: So there's another mod coming from you that adds them?
