warcommando2 - Well, if you can convince FTB to support modpacks with PML right out of the box, then CurseClient will need to support it; one step closer to CurseForge/Client supporting PML and mods that use it for auto-install. Good luck

ZODIK105 - Two weeks already... time sure does fly by. (I'm starting to feel like an old man, even though I'm not..)
In this time, I've worked out some 1.8-specific bugs (such as the full-white transition between seasons), added more parts for the new features (such as a new seasonal sub-command for outputting/generating seasonal color spreadsheets for easier resource pack development), re-designed WIP features (such as the donator rewards from super-fancy capes/cloaks [animated-texture, curved edges, etc.] to scarves).
For related projects, Mo' Villages (which is "related," because I was given control due to incompatibilities) has been ported to 1.8.x and reworked to be more config-based, while PML has received a minor-overhaul/major-upgrade to external dependency workings and is now getting part of its loading-management redone. I've also seriously started on a diagonal fence mod, but still have some considerable work to do before that's ready for release.
So, yes, there's good news. (Just not "It's ready" news.)

The Seasons Mod is not the only mod with this "problem."
While it is possible to play with both mods together and not realize there are any issues, problems that are reported involving Optifine will likely be ignored
-- In other words, this isn't perfect together with Optifine, but there are other popular mods that also don't support usage with Optifine. The two can be used together, though. (Disable custom colors, otherwise colors provided by code will be bypassed and ignored.)

This will always be incompatible with Optifine's Custom Colors, as that bypasses the vanilla coloring code completely (and TSM alters the vanilla coloring code). Other than that, TSM won't officially support usage with Optifine, even if nothing conflicts (there's not many conflicts at this point anyways, but still).

You won't get the custom season leaf/grass colors.

ZODIK, any fix for that would have to come from Optifine, as the problem is on that side - Optifine's "Custom Colors" completely bypasses the vanilla block coloring code. The Seasons Mod makes seasonal colors happen by altering the vanilla block coloring code that gets bypassed.
Only recently did it get semi-fixed - it used to be that simply having that Optifine feature enabled (note: just enabled, but not necessarily using it in any way) caused the conflict. Now this Optifine component is enabled/disabled on a finer scale... but having the custom grass/leaf colors enabled still causes the conflict in all cases under all conditions.
Mods that add biomes that use non-default coloring code are also impacted in the same way by this Optifine component.
There's a reason I call it "Optifunny."

just so you know WP it's still happening but im looking into how it keep reproducing when i find it i will let you know on my new update of the mod pack 3.5 i want to re add it in 3.5.1 (took it out temporarily so i can find out whats going on)
I hope to find the culprit soon tbh it will take me a while to find it
edit: turns out i was using a base fastcraft version
new problem tho loading a biome o plenty world: if you want the loading stack trace from pack launch to closing some how its over 6000 pages....idk it just is generating anew one tomorrow and removing the old and hopefully that works.
Turns out its interfering with glenns gasses streams mod and farseeks api file for streams. Not sure if that helps but some how my files are just way to big
correction: doesnt like certain BOP biomes....kinda weird....
I think WP is working on an installer of some variety. There isn't really a way to avoid the additional requirements. In order for the mod to do what it does, it breaks some of the rules of Minecraft. In this programming language, a lower-level object can't do that. In other words, this mod has to be the parent, not the child. As the child, it can't break the rules it needs to break to change the seasons.
In theory this wouldn't need the other API at all, but it opted to use the API for the ease of writing code at the expense of ease of install.

I want to try this "mod" out so badly but it doesn't install like all the other mod in minecraft and I have to go to 5 different places to install something or other for it and I fear I have to just simple redo my Minecraft folder b/c god only knows the files and what I put in there trying to install this....and trying to find installation setup is just as hard, go to 10 different places and still get no where. Is there really no way to make an installer for this "mod"? It is way too complicated. And also looking into adding to the server...forget it that sounds like a nightmare!
Well great mod I liked looking at the pics and imagining what it would have been like to play with!
Viktor_smg - Thank you for trying it and finding that problem. (Since that problem doesn't come up in my development environment, I wasn't expecting it.) I have now fixed it for future builds.
The screenshot(s) were given to me by my primary tester and his server. I know his server uses lots of custom-made textures and mods, but sadly can't help beyond that.
Ulfengaard - I already made an installer, but I have no patience writing GUIs so have never released it.
Sinaharo - I'll make sure a fix for that is included in my next releases.
Wulfie03 - Thankfully, MC itself isn't touched, so all you would need to do to restore your stuff is remove the command line argument and whatever you may have mistakenly slapped in the mods folder. And normal server install is exactly as complicated as normal client install... it's the alternative server install that Mac OS computers require that's the complicated one.
If you want, I could pre-set-up everything for you and just have you merge it all into your .minecraft folder. I'd just need your launher_profiles.json (which regrettably contains your MC username and a randomly generated session authentication code). Alternatively, I could send you the installer I wrote up, but it requires that you go through the Terminal/CommandPrompt/Console.
Wulfie03 & Viktor_smg - As great as "just drop it into the mods folder" sounds, making this mod act that way would require me to go back and actually write out the several thousands of lines of hard-to-maintain code-editing-code that I've opted out of writing by using my API thing that everyone loves to hate. (This mod is making loads of edits to both vanilla Minecraft and Minecraft mods that I haven't played nor heard of. [Over 100 edits in vanilla+Forge alone, last time I bothered counting.])
The files are separate to avoid any legal qualms lawyers might cook up. I agree that it's rather nutty in its current state, but thankfully I'm working on a partial solution...
