There used to be one, but I couldn't get Optifine to decompile after 1.3.2. I'll try again once 1.4 is released.
Why isn't Optifine and Modloader open-source? They expect you to decompile it! It's like they're saying "Yeah, you can get the source, but we're not going to bother giving it to you." This made me so angry when I was trying to update a mod that I ragequit Minecraft modding for life.
The Nether background is interesting, but it makes it less like a cave and more like the Ghost Zone from Danny Phantom. Why aren't those flames popping up all around you? It just seems out of place. However, if flames like that came up just above the lava, then it would give the Nether a bit more depth, and could be useful.
I agree that the End background should be changed, but not into a space background. That would make Endermen space aliens, which, in my opinion, is corny and childish. I don't see Endermen as aliens.

The Nether's sky texture can be changed to a flat red-orange to match the fog, if you'd rather have that. Flames over the lava would look pretty awesome, but the only way I know of to possibly do that is to render orange clouds at the lava level.

Though, in my opinion, Endermen are aliens (regardless whether from space or from an alternate dimension, like the aliens in the Half-Life series), one of my reasons for changing the End's sky to space is so I can build things in "space" without needing to use external editors to replace the Overworld with a void. Like I said about the Nether's sky, you can retexture the End's sky to something you like if mine isn't what you want.

If anyone wants to port/remake this, feel free to do that! Or don't. It's up to you, really.

I've been working on a huge update for 1.4.2 (I really hope the obfuscation doesn't change for 1.4.3 like it did between 1.3.1 and 1.3.2) with new fog colors and alternate sky textures. The fog colors come from the sky textures now, but they're pretty dark. I'd love to be able to get orange clouds in the Nether, at level 33, but I'm not too sure if that'll ever happen. For now I'll try to get the fog colors to actually match the backgrounds perfectly, without any added darkness or night-vision-induced brightness.

I'll get around to updating it sometime tonight or tomorrow hopefully.
Or not. MCP apparently thinks all of my changes to the 1.4.5 source are entirely vanilla, despite adding over a dozen new classes and changing a few base classes. I hope eventually that gets fixed, but for the time being, don't expect any of my mods to update for a while.

Shame. Im really looking forward to this mod when it comes out for 1.4.5!
And now it's broken again. I think, anyway. I accidentally ran reformat.bat and now MCP registers a few essential classes like IntCache and GLAllocation as modified and reobfucates them along with the mod classes. What I might have to do is take all of the code I modded and put that in a vanilla MCP folder. Maybe delete reformat.bat for good measure.

You need to do this for the 1.4.3 update!
I am ninja'd far too often.

Forever protecting Hyrule with the power of the Master Sword, DragonMaster16.
Thanks. It doesn't work in 1.4.5 AFAIK; I'll get around to updating it sometime tonight or tomorrow hopefully.
