I realize I cant keep uploading individual textures, so I made it easier for everyone and packaged them up.
The package includes faithful 32x textures for the following:
DIY glass Iron bar block
All the Glowblocks
All the Glowblocks2 (I took out the gravel and added brown wool, replaced the 10 free slots with my favorite wool colors)
Glowbooks
All the Glowlogs
All the Glowsandstone
Buttons
All the stairs including the new iron bar stairs
I will be contacting Vattic and requesting him to add this to his thread, hope you enjoy.
Well the glowstone thing isnt a huge deal to me but if you think it would be a quick change go for it
And yeah, what I meant by the grass is it will take on the color of the biome grass so you can light up the surface without having anything stand out, it doesn't have to be multitextured or anything, as long as it takes on the color of the biome, looks like grass, and glows, that would be awesome

Awesome, thanks!
That's a great idea. I will add it to the OP at some stage tonight and contact Vattic also.
Good news about the grass too
I have made a new grass block that will change color according to biome, it will also change dirt blocks to glow grass just like normal grass. There are two small drawbacks however.
One is that due to the fact the block emits light, it will not turn grass blocks below it to dirt (there is likely a work around but I will get to that in the course of my work in the biome mod)
The other is that no matter how I try (eg, using the greyed out textures or the full colored textures), when I implement the light value it causes the dirt to colorize too .
But still, I think it will keep you happy for now and I will see if I can fix it as I go.
I will look at adding the new glow ore after dinner and should have a release out in a few hours.
Just in case you didn't catch this information in the previous post

Here's a test release for you to try, with the glow grass and glow ore.
Let me know what you think.
Glowore huh? Wasn't really expecting that, it just drops vanilla glowstone dust right? Pretty cool, but my world has pretty much been explored for the most part, shouldn't be an issue though if the recipe just uses glowstone, thanks for that.
The grass looks like it will do the trick for what I need it for, however if your able to solve that dirt color bug I'm sure other people will love it too.

Yeh, I figured the glow ore would be a nice compromise, you get the glowstone recipe and I can stay true to my original intent of staying in the overworld
And yes, they drop 4 regular glowstone dust and the recipe requires 1 glowstone block in place of the torch.
Still no joy with that grass I'm afraid. It's either green or invisible dirt no matter what I try. (I won't give up though)
Unfortunately it seems I have deleted those streetscape textures ,but I have already made steady progress on making a new set, using the 32 x 32 Faithfull textures.
Oh, added two more blocks to complement the iron bar block and stairs!
Yep iron ladders and fences
Also added another 6 DIY multi texture blocks, just because 2 wasn't enough for me!
Pretty much ready to pack it all up, so I will post a link here shortly.
I wont update the OP just yet, I will make an official update in a day or so!

How might I go about using the iron ladder with the new glowstone recipes? Can I just use the crafting handler and the main class from the grass one or would that mess up the iron ladder?

Do you mean that you can't place the ladders on the second set of glowblocks?
If so I have taken a look at the code, and I had left the material set as glass from when I was doing some testing.
I have fixed that up, here's the download.
Note, there's also a new glass trapdoor that can be placed as a free floating object (Once placed, you can destroy the block behind it and the trapdoor will remain in place and still function)
To craft the glass trapdoor
4 x Glass Block, 2 x Iron Ingot

Wow you are really coming up with some great Ideas.I just hope you never run out of them lol By the way,how would I go about making the glas trap door use 128x textures?I can make all the DIY blocks 128x because you have provided a template to do so,but this i'm not sure. For the base game of minecraft I have to use a 16x texture pack because my pc just doesn't like anything higher for some reason, but all mods i use can be what ever size I want them to be so I try to use or make textures 128x for use with my mods whenever I can.So to make a long story short i'm trying to take this texture which i'm using for my sewer covers and use it with your glass trap door so I can have an opening sewer cover.Would there be any way to add support for higher textures? Thanks in advance.
Man, so much good stuff added here. The iron ladders and (especially) that glass hatch are totally awesome and a welcome addition to my server, for sure.
I do have one request though - would it be possible if, in a future release of this mod, you could add an option in the cfg file to disable glow ore spawning, and/or a way to configure how many glowstone you get per ore, the ore vein size etc? It's not that I don't like the idea, don't get me wrong - but I just spent probably 3 days working on a new build for my server that focuses and, really, encourages my citizens to play in the Nether. The glow ore totally breaks half of that for me Though if we start a new world, I'd want glow ore blocks but at a reduced capacity to at least feed a few recipes.
I'm going to (slowly) work on a makeshift texture pack for this - probably 16x as I'm not really artistically inclined enough to do more. I'll post here when it's done. Thanks again for all the goodies!

Thanks for all the positive feed back and support, much appreciated
Hikachan, all you need to do is, drop the folder for "xtratrapdoor" in to your texture packs "XtraBlocks" folder then resize the terrain.png to
2048 x 2048. Once you have done that just replace the current texture with your manhole cover texture.
or alternatively just copy this pic, to skip the resizing part. Oh and don' worry, I still have plenty more to come
xeronut, I am going to spend some time this weekend tying to add some more config options, so hopefully that will be a possibility. (at the very least being able to turn the ore on/off)
Currently I have the ore set to a rarity of 5, with the vein set to 8.
Offer up some suggestions if you like and I will make the changes, maybe I could set it to the same settings as diamond ore?
I am also always happy to make a custom version, if anyone has certain requirements.
Here are some of the reworked streetscape textures (32 x 32)
The skip bin textures are an unconventional size (smallest I could make it and still get the nice 3D effect)
and the manhole cover is at 128 x 128.
If you want to try them, open the spoiler below and copy the picture or download the pack, . (I will add them to the OP once I finish them all)
There are multiple textures for the footpath which add cracked pavement, litter and bubblegum, for the road there are cracked bitumen ,potholes, drains, stripes, corner stripes and center lines with cats eyes. There is also graffiti, dirty bricks, garage doors and multitextured skip bin.
Ty for the textures, will use them for sure. I noticed you added a iron fence but I see the textures aren't quite done for them, looking forward to that!
I think, as I'm not averse to going into the Nether for Glowstone, I'd be a lousy opinion on default spawn values for Glow Ore. I think it's a great idea though, as I know from a gameplay as well as a system performance standpoint, lots of people completely avoid DIM-1. That's why I figured an oregen config option similar to the Simple Ores/Nether Rocks mods would be ideal - it'd allow some players/server OPs (some) control over their content while still affording everyone else the option to cull the gameplay fat so to speak and skip the Nether entirely. I'm only really being picky because my inner Evil Dictator/Server OP tells me to I rather like your default spawn settings though, so this paragraph probably was completely pointless.
-edit- And sitting here thinking about it, being able to make glow ore rare in the Overworld would be nice to help mitigate the inevitable evisceration of Nether Glowstone. Yeah, I'd definitely like config options please, if at all possible.

Good news! Your inner Evil Dictator shall hold power over the glow ore real soon
I was having no luck getting it to work with the Forge config, so i just had a quick go using the standard MLProps method.
I have set up the options to change the following:
GlowOreSpawnRate
GlowOreVeinSize
GlowOreSpawnHeight
Tested and all seems to work fine.
For the moment, there will be 2 properties files. The current one for changing block ID's and a new one called "mod_XtraBlocks"
for changing the glow ore properties.
I'm still working on some other stuff, before I package it all up for release but should be available in the next few hours
New config file for the following options
GlowOreSpawnRate
GlowOreVeinSize
GlowOreSpawnHeight
For the moment, there will be 2 properties files. The current one for changing block ID's and the new one called "mod_XtraBlocks"
for changing the glow ore properties.
I set the vein size to 50 and found this.
No other new additions at the moment except for another trapdoor (iron), as the code was already in from testing another kind of block. (figured no one would mind having an iron trapdoor )
For anyone whos wants a higher res texture for the skipbin heres my own 128x texture. You need to take a DIY multi template and resize it to 2048x2048 and drop the image below in it.
