Thanks, yes I am planning on making several versions with more and varied blocks. Stay tuned
In the meantime you can check out my other thread, It has a stand alone mod that adds 8 new stairs and another that adds timer buttons. http://www.minecraft...updated-150612/
I took it upon myself to add 32x faithful textures for your glowblocks.
Enjoy
Thanks, added to the OP
So, I got a bit carried away and decided to make a pack for pixel artists.
Full 256 color with Hexadecimal codes (uses 16 block ID's). Will put a download up a bit later tonight.
sneak peak.
I'm thinking this one may need it's own thread, just to detail the crafting recipes
But I will tackle that tomorrow. I tried to keep the recipes simple, but I get the feeling that most people who use this would likely take advantage of TMI or creative mode.
Use each of the following combinations with each of the 16 dye's for a different block (returns 16)
Anyway please test it out and let me know if there are any problems.
Haven't run into any myself.

MindKrafter don't forget the gray scale on the PixelArtMod
Not every pixel art is in color
Yep! That's a good point. I'm going to re-do the whole pallet, it,s not the best at the moment.
I was also thinking of changing the hex names to numbers, so that users can add their own color pallets.
I have also made an alternate "numbered"terrain.png. That way by matching your custom pallet to the numbers, you can make your pixel art "paint by numbers style".
Still not entirely sure what default pallet to use, so please offer any suggestions.
I'm thinking of going with "6-8-5 levels RGB" (240 colors) + a 16 x greyscale as a default:
Oh, and here's a greyscale.png that you can switch out with one of the others in the meantime.
Wasn't sure where to post this since you got 2 posts going on with the mod I'm referring to, but your glowblocks mod uses 2 blocks that use more then one texture, but your terrain.png file only has a spot for one per block. I noticed this when I was going to use one of these blocks in particular and noticed it immediately.
The blocks I am referring to in particular are the glowing bookshelf and the glowing sandstone
The bookshelf uses 2 textures, the books for all 4 sides and oak planks for the top and bottom.
The sandstone uses 3 textures, the cracked sandstone with the lip on the top for all 4 sides, the smooth texture for the top, and the cracked texture without the lip for the bottom.
Could you please add support for this? These blocks look really odd without it.

Ugly and restrictive... I know!
But I was unable to mix blocks already using meta-data, with my meta-data blocks (if that makes sense)
I can easily add them using their correct textures by using another two block id's
I already have code for glowing bookshelves, sandstone and logs, for my own personal use. (Greedy or what! )
So it wouldn't take much to add them to this release, and seeing as forge takes advantage of 4096 block id's another 3 wouldn't really hurt. (May as well add the log, people may want glow tree's too!)
I have a bit of free time tonight so I will add an update in an hour or two. I also noticed that the base blocks are showing up in the items section of the creative inventory so I will fix that as well.
New version is ready.
Built on the special edition for now.
16 x GlowBlocks (changed Bookshelf to Obsidian and Sandstone to Netherbrick)
16 x Colored GlassBlocks
32 x DIYBlocks
2 x DIY MultiTextureBlocks (now with blank DIY texture)
3 x New GlowBlocks with MultiTexture: Bookshelf, Sandstone and Log.
Recipes remain the same, just use the corresponding base block for the new GlowBlocks.
I really like the idea that you made part of it a do it yourself mod to make it easier to add our own custom textures.I was just wondering since you already had the stained glass windows would it be possible to add regular windows to the mod and if you do would it be possible to make the windows open up with a right click of the mouse. Not sliding up that might be to hard but i was thinking thw windows that just swing open like a door swings open. And also what about add doors to the mod.just some thoughts.I love the mod either way thank you....
Logs huh? Pretty neat... I got all excited untill I looked at the texture file and noticed that you only have oak logs Anyway, thanks for updating, I needed those sandstone blocks
One more thing that isn't all that important right now, but something you should consider including in a future update; the iron and gold glowblocks only take an ingot to create, instead of the actual block itself, which is a little imbalanced Not a huge deal but yeah it probably should be changed eventually.

Oh, I have many different flavors!
I will add the other 3 log types in the next release as well as making them functional eg. break down to planks , sticks, crafting bench and sustain leaves.
I actually changed from blocks to ingots before I released the mod because I thought it may be a bit expensive.
Can you tell that I have only been working on building projects lately. Too much TMI!
I will change it back then.
Thanks for the new textures too! I will add them to the OP.

I am already working on key lockable doors, so they will probably end up in this mod
Oh, please add lapis block to the lapis glowblock recipe as well, not a single lapis
Done!
XtraBlocks+ v1.4
Gold, Iron and Lapis blocks now required for glow blocks.
Added the the remaining glow log blocks, with full textures.
All glow logs are functional, as in can be crafted into glow planks and thus into sticks, chest and workbench.
(Glow logs should be able to support leaves but if replacing logs of existing trees, leaves may still decay
unless you exit and restart the level.)
Also added a new version.
XtraBlocksExtremeEdition v1.0
All the features of XtraBlocks+
But also includes my stairs and buttons mods, so 8 new stair types and 4 new timer buttons.
I am working on updating the OP at the moment, but here are the downloads for now.
