Good lord... This mod is getting better and better with every day. I wasn't really expecting mod like this to be released on this forum, and here I am, staring at the best mod out here.
And here comes my proposition, you might implement that if it isn't implemented already.
Different flowers, so we can use them as all sort of things, not necesseary flowers.
Also, how about fire and different colors of it?
Anyway, keep up the good work. I am really looking forward for the future updates
Dude... blue fire.. <head explodes>. That would look kind of killer when coupled with colored liquids. (oooh, a tongue twister!)
v2.0
Added the ability for DIY slabs to form DIY Slab blocks.
The slab block can not be crafted, it is only obtainable by stacking two of the same type slabs together.
Just use the same textures on both sets of purple templates in the "diyblocks" folder.
I was *just* thinking how it was a shame you couldn't stack the DIY slabs - I don't even need to suggest anymore, you're downloading my brain.
.. as for the brains of the people on my server, I didn't get to talk to anyone so I'll work on that this weekend.
@mindkrafter I installed the slab and stair placement fix but it still doesn't allow you to put full blocks on half blocks unless i'm doing it wrong but oh well....

Ah, sorry. That mod will only give you the option to place slabs on the top or bottom half of a block, still it fulfills half of your request
I am not aware of any mod that will let you place blocks on slabs like you want.
By the way, did you get a chance to try v2.0 yet? I have added the first attempt at the block legend to the texture files.
still needs more work but it should make it easier for you.

I will take your suggestions on board
It appears as if REI's minimap really dislikes the block coloring system you're using O.o

Umm How the Glow blocks work? I've seen they have the same texture as in vanilla minecraft, so what is it for? Just asking, don't know how to plan my texture pack.
Also, DIY multi blocks are just regular blocks with different texture from each side, right?
EDIT: Also, this mod is going to be released for 1.3.1 I hope. Or shall I ask... is it going to be released to 1.3.1?
Glow blocks are good for a variety of things - they can serve as ambient light sources for, say, admin-created adventure maps or dungeons where you don't want torches or glowstone/lamps. They're also good if you just don't like the look of torches or if you find yourself accidentally smacking them off the wall with an errant left-click. Also, glow blocks obviously don't get washed away or destroyed by liquids so they can be used in substitute while maintaining aesthetics. The multi-textured blocks would be good for things like compass waypoint blocks or for makeshift statues where you want to portray all sides of the model (that's actually how I use them on my server - the head and torso is one DIY multi-block, and legs/feet another one). Another thing you can use them for is instructional areas on your server - noob-friendly sections to show people how to build, say, an IC2 CASUC reactor without actually hooking up nukes.
As for 1.3.1, it'd be an awful waste of effort if he didn't and this pack is just too good not to update. Like all other Forge mods though, he has to wait on that to come up to speed before he can work his magic. If he doesn't, well, you can always keep your 1.2.5 installation forever.
Well after a few times of cutting and pasting blocks to make sure everything was in the right spot I got the newewst update to work and I can see where all future updates are gonna be easy to make. I've uploaded my textures for anyone who is doing a realistic modern world. Here's the link and screens. All are 128x

mindkrafter is there a way to disable the particle effects of you torches? I'm redoing them as regular lights and can't have the particle effects.thanks
I was wondering what material the customizable items are. So that I know if they are flamable or not. Because
I dont want go and start building something epic just to have lighting stike and burn the whole place down. haha.
So yeah, if you could please tell me what material they are made to be that would be great. Thanks!
MindKrafter. I tried to change the textures of Pixel Artist from 16pixels into 64pixels and it shows a mess, not the textures I added, just their colors combined in a bizarre way
I was planning to add a huge amount of new building blocks thanks to PixelArtist, but if I can't change their textures... bad
You should be able to resize and retexture them the same way as XBEE
Check that you made the terrain.png 1024x1024 to fit 64x64 textures. If you still have trouble, let me know.
Mindkrafter, this mod is Awesome! Since you seem to make dreams come true... I have a wish list :-)
More doors for us to texture; wooden and iron, i like to use wooden doors for interiors.
More fences and gates for us to texture; I was thinking it would be cool to have sandstone or obsidian or red mushroom or...
More glass panes for us to texture; the fancy designs look best in the panes.
Multi sided glow blocks we can texture, I don’t want to retexture any of the ones you have included.
Glow Mycelium with particle effects
Glow stairs and slabs.
Chests we can texture.
Completely clear glass.
Thanks again for a Fantastic Mod!
Glad you like. I could certainly indulge the majojority of your requests.
Chests will have to wait for the moment, once the mod moves to 1.3.1/1.3.2 it should be possible.
Also you can make any of the DIY glass blocks completely clear.
I'd personally like to see more half transparent blocks like Ice... or is the stained glass half transparent? o.o
Also, does anyone know anything about forge for 1.3.2 being released? If yes, then when?
Yes, the colored/stained glass hass the same properties as ice.
No idea on the Forge timeframe, but I have just downloaded the latest forge for 1.3.1 and will be taking a look at it tonight.
Seems like there are some significant changes though,
Mindkrafter,I hope everything is ok and you haven't given up on this great mod......
Thanks for the inquirery
I haven't given up on the mod, I have just been really sick. Despite trying, I just haven't been able face spending time looking at a moniter.
Thanks for the great texures you posted the other day, I will add them to the OP now I am feeling better.
I don't mind removing the particles to the red & green torches, but I will leave the cauldron as is, I need that one for my world
I will add a few more torches though.
Also wanted to thank xeronut, for feilding a few questions in my abscence.
Cheers
Is there any way I can change the liquid color? Because I haven't seen it in the Texture files... or maybe I am blind?
Guys? Am I blind?
Nah, your not blind. I currently have the colors hard coded.
A bit out of keeping with the DIY aspect of the mod, I know!
I will most likely add that option at some point but for now you will have make do with the current colors

It stands for 'Do It Yourself'.
(protip - do not confuse it for DIYM - totally different concepts)
