I have a suggestions for a mod.
You could make a mod that adds more pictures, not adding new images to the same texture but adding new items each with their own paintings texture.
It's something like this:

Have you tried tiny pics edition mod? It adds alot of paints to the game also if you combine it with the davidee paint selection gui makes it perfect for decor your rooms

Hmm i found a lot of bugs in version 2.0m. we play now with this and the follow function dont work.
Pannel. You cant move on this
Lamp / Torch. Cant stay on the floor, if a block on the side. the torch and lamp connect the block.
Glass.... no recipe? i use NEI but... this jump from Glass to Glass.

I have fixed the glass recipes. After the last re-code, I forgot to add the glass + dye recipe to the first set of blocks.
I wasn't able to find any problems regarding the other two issues you mentioned.
Panels seemed fine, regular ones can be walked on, fake ones you will fall through.
Torches/ lamps placed fine, even next to a block. The powered variants do glitch to the wall if a block is next to it, but this has always been the case.
I didn't test every single one, just a selection from across the board. If there was a particular set that caused you problems, just let me know which ones and I will investigate further.
I will put out a release with the fixed recipes either tonight or tomorrow. (still adding a few more things)

I know but I thought that if you divide a big "kz.png" texture into many small textures was better.
However the mod you've linked doesn't work on server side, it gets an error (string longer than allowed) because it uses a texture bigger than allowed.
By dividing paintings into multiple items each with its own "kz.png" texture you would have benefits in more ways:
1. You can divide the different paintings for image type (ex. Painting 2 -> Landscape pictures, Painting 3 -> People pictures, Painting 4 -> Posters, etc.)
2. Minecraft is faster to load small textures, especially on server side.

Steve needs a stepstool to reach the seats. I get that the throne *could* be that high - My high preists adore you. The park-bench back should be waste height, and the seat knee height. Barstools are great! Straight chairs.....

How about I give you the sketch-up designs I've been doing. ...? Not that I want to sound ungrateful, cos I'm far from it. I am so thrilled someone is willing to make chairs after a couple years of me begging and pleading.

Yeah, it was pretty hard judging the scale in Techne. I have already tweaked the sizes, so let me know what you think.
Also added in a small table, picket fences, fridge and oven (I will look at making the fridge act like a chest and the oven like a furnace)
plus a slot machine for the Arcade pack.
Models may still need some more tweaking, so feedback is appreciated.

The best thing would be to do the modelling in Techne itself, then post those files, even if you use SketchUp to rough out the design. This has the big advantage that MK can just take the Java code and bring it into XBEE, he won't need to remodel or anything like that. It will also cut down on the work he needs to do, especially if you do the texturing as well.
Techne isn't hard to learn, especially if you've used other 3D modellers, but it does have some odd ways of doing things. There aren't a lot of options or tools which makes it very quick to pick up. Rotation seems a bit buggy but there are ways around that. Scale can be awkward to figure out (as I have found out myself this week) but that's what practice is for.
That would be ideal.

Scale is a problem I have been having myself. Oddly enough my park bench is too high as well. Techne could really do with an option to add in a dummy Steve as reference. Maybe I should suggest it in the Techne thread next time I'm in there.

Whoops, I missed that. I have fixed now and changed the color of the stained glass to match the dye used in crafting.
Can you be more specific about the problems you have with the panels?
Are you falling through them when you walk on them, or getting stuck when using them as walls?
Edit: Just changed the download file to fix stained glass recipes also adjusted the colors to match the dye's.

I am thinking triangle peaks on fancy shmancy chairs - a 45 degree angled block on top of a straight block. How else does one get a sloped surface?
Also, is rotation okay with you? eg legs on a kiddy's chair being "no tip".

You can use overlapping cubes for angles to some extent. The 45 degree angled block on top of a straight block works fine, that's what I did for the picket fences. Unfortunately, when you try to join an angled block across an angle, you will get flickering textures.
Just a question of playing around and seeing what you can get away with.
Techne is pretty cool, though limited. It can be a bit of a drag naming all the parts and moving round the textures, but other than that it's fun to make a new creation.
I'm fine with rotation, looking forward to see what you come up with.

If you have a panel on the wall and one on the floor (out one block from the wall), you will get stuck on the panel on the floor e.g.
There has always been collision problems with the panels, it has something to do with the direction you are facing.
If you were to turn around and walk over it backwards, you would not get stuck.
I don't know why that happens with the panels, but I have never found a solution. One way to get around it is to use a paver for the floor.
Pavers do not have the same issue when near a panel on the wall.
I know you are adding new things to 1.4.7 version but do you plan to update for 1.5+?
our server need this mods a lot
I am working on it, but a lot of stuff was broken by 1.5+ and also there are regular changes within forge.
I get stuff working and the next update they are broken again.
Rest assured, I will get something out as soon as I can but it will still be a while yet.
I have found a bug with the new unlit torch and zippo. After the first time you use the zippo, it will then place torches on any block you click.
I have fixed the problem now.
I have also added in a torch snuffer, so that you can extinguish the torch as well.
As an added bonus, there is also an unlit powered torch that when lit with the zippo, gives of a redstone current. The powered torch can also be extinguished with the snuffer. (pics and recipes in spoiler)

mindcrafter was having problems with the 1.5 version and forge for that version, so he will stay in 1.4.7 until an stable version of forge is released
