May I suggest making a really basic cobblestone generator with a non-sticky piston? Infinite cobble near your tool chest.
Personally, I'd like to reduce the efficiency of that chest. 1 durability every 5 seconds and ie. 1562 durability pickaxe would take 2 hours of active time near this chest. And by simply putting in 38 cobblestone you reduce that to 25 minutes? If I could request something I'd love to add some sort of balance to this chest via the config file.
Even better would be a way to set percent reduction/duration per fuel item. ie. If I set the repair time to 10 seconds each fuel type would have different properties along the lines of:
These numbers will need some testing but seems logical to me right now. As It stands right now It's easier just giving everyone the right for Creative mode or /item. It's simply too cheap
Side Note, We're loving this mod even with the unbalanced settings especially the network chest! It helped us move from one side of the map to another moving our stockpile :]
I'm not trying to start something or be rude, I've just never understood that way of thinking...lol. It seems so dictatorial to decide how others can play a game and what they are "allowed" to have or do. About the only rule I would want to see on a server would be to not allow people to destroy what others have built, outside of that who cares what others want to do or what they have?

I agree. Especially for a mod like this where balance isn't really the primary focus.
If anything I think I'd rather have Watkins include a method to nerf the speed of the various chests if server admins find it to be too powerful.
Excellent mod! I really like it for a mail system my friends and I plan on implementing in our server. Any chance of hopper support for networked chests? I noticed they work for the others.

It's really not possible. I've already asked Watkins about it, and apparently there's just no way to do this.

Probably not for the Networked Chests (for the same reason as the hoppers), but I'll bet he can get it working with the other chests. We'll see, though. I don't think it's been brought up before.
Alright, I suspected that was the case--understandable. We'll be able to make great use of this on our server, though I was hoping for the comparator to make wireless redstone.
Well I've recently made another mod (which you may or may not have seen) , and it's completely improved my understanding of the networking side of minecraft. I'm gonna have another look into it and hopefully I should be able to get it working

No Fuel (Reduction: 10*0,0 = 10s)
Cobblestone: -10% (Reduction: 10*0,1= 9s)
Iron: -25% (Reduction: 10*0,25 = 7,5s)
Gold: -40% (Reduction: 10*0,4 = 6s)
Diamond: -60% (Reduction: 10*0,6 = 4s)

If you can't find it still, try downloading it from Curse instead.
