New mod versions here. It should fix most outstanding issues on Windows 10 boxes.

Regarding
the Right Trigger not registering. This is an issue with the latest
Windows 10 XInput drivers. The latest version of Joypad mod linked above
should take care of this by using a new input library. You may have to
go into the controls menu in Minecraft and remap it. Just select the
"Attack" button and press the Right Trigger.
Regarding the
analog movement, since this mod replaces the keybutton presses of the
keyboard the movement is the same as if you were to press the key. IE it
isn't analog. Earlier versions of this mod had that feature but to
maintain compatibility with other mods it was changed to simply do the
keypress.
I've removed the yellow number in the top right. It was a battery level indicator but it needs work to be useful
As usual please let me know if you have any issues with this mod.
Thanks!
@DragonGamer,
you shouldn't select your keyboard / mouse in controller menu. If one
of the players is using keyboard/mouse, don't enable any controllers for
that user. The other joypad users don't need window focus with the
above fix.
This mod is already updated. Just go back to the previous page and you'll find it. I'll post these here for your convenience.
Using the latest version with 1.10.2, Win 10 and xbox 360 controller. Works fine except if the controller sleeps due to inactivity, the only way to get it working again is to reboot minecraft. In 1.8 it would automatically reconnect. Mod is still usable and seems to work otherwise, but it's a pain in ass if you drop the controller or set it down for a few mins. Thanks!
Doesn't seem to remove the yellow number for me- it just perpetually says "3".
My controller doesn't even support battery level checking so that's kind of annoying.
I have the same issue as IAmParadox (if controller disconnects, rebooting MC is required to get the joypad working again). When playing the same mod on 1.8 the reconnect function worked fine. Is there any fix or even workaround for this? Does checking legacy input help? I'm using Windows 10, MC 1.10.2, latest forge. I need to exit minecraft and restart it for it to work. With a big FTB modpack installed, it it a real issue. My young son sometimes drops the controller, pushes the disconnect button or just takes a break and then I have to reload everything. Thanks for a great mod!

Windows Xbox controller or PS3 controller? If PS3 controller, then I ask, are you using MotionInJoy? This was a bad issue with MotionInJoy. However, using SCPToolkit instead has helped that issue dramatically. Edit: I just looked above a couple of posts and read that you were trying to use an Xbox 360 controller. I'm not terribly familiar with how the drivers work with the Xbox 360 controllers, but I'll try.
With a PS3 controller that I'm using (and a special toolkit called SCPToolkit) it works perfectly. I'm thinking it is because SCPToolkit keeps running when the controller disconnects. This tricks Joypad into thinking the controller never got disconnected. Because you don't have anything like that, when it disconnects, it sets an error which causes the mod to fail (and become stopped).
It almost seems that the best course of action would be to use an alternative program that converts keyboard to joypad. Another viable solution is to get a PS3 controller, compatible bluetooth adapter (if you don't have one) or use cable, and use SCPToolkit. It works great (aside from the occasional annoying Updater screen that show up everytime you so much as wake your computer up from sleep. .
The mod works without crashing for me, but it can't seem to pick up my ps3 afterglow controller
The PC is not compatible with PS3 controllers, not natively anyways. XInput is strictly Microsoft only and only supports Microsoft controllers. SCPToolkit is an XInput Wrapper that allows you to convert PS3 or PS4 controllers into Xbox controllers so they work with the PC. Download SCPTookit (search it on Google), and follow the instructions.

The mod worked fine in mc 1.8. seems to be something specific to the latest release. If it was just me playing it wouldn't be an issue, but my son is only 5 and loses patience pretty quickly and he isn't ready for mouse & keyboard. Please let me know if you finda solution.
Hey, I've noticed a bug for this mod. It seems that the input frames are tied directly to the framerate of the game. i.e., when the framerate skyrockets, the Input sensitivity speeds right up alongside it. I have downloaded version 1.10.2-0.22, running Minecraft 1.10.2 with Forge version 12.18.1.2011. If you need any more information, reply to me, or if this is already a known bug then ignore me, no problem
Edit 3 minutes later: I should also include that Joypadmod is the only mod installed at the moment.
I am having an issue with this mod. I am trying to use it with sky factory 3. I have tried both versions (the new one above and the latest one on the website) and have had the same issue. When ever I enter a crafting mode and grab a stack of blocks and then move them, it leaves a trail of blocks in any open inventory space or crafting space. If I grab just one block, it will drop as soon as my cursor passes the next space. I am currently using a ds4 with ds4windows on a win 10 machine. I have successfully used this combination before in other packs but with sky factory 3 I can not get it to work right. Any suggestions?
I don't hold the button. I press it to pick up the stack and let go. When moving the stack it will drop items in any open slot I cross. I have also tried it with my xbox 1 controller but same issue. Works fine in other modpacks but not sky factory 3.
update: Found the issue it was a conflict with inventory sorter mod. I disable that and now everything works right
I'm having a very new issue with all versions of joypad. I tried installing for 1.10 after having it for 1.11 and everything always worked great with my 360 controllers. After I installed apparently a new version the controls assignment panel reads my controllers as axis 6 and the right trigger, though allows me to assign it in the panel, does not work at all during gameplay. The start and back buttons don't work at all. I've tried reinstalling and even going back to 1.11, which I thought there was an issue with my install so I deleted all mods and lost my old joypad that worked wonderfully. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, as is it is very difficult to play with 2 major functions not working.
I can load into the game but, the mod does not seem to notice my controller, I have a Logitech F710 wireless Gamepad, One of the nicer ones if you want something not xbox related but still want to play steam games with a controller, Anyway to get the mod to notice my controller?
Hi probably something stupid on my end, but, in 1.7.10, forge 10.13.3.1403, whenever I click to the other window the controller input stops, also when using controller I can't play on the other window because it would stop the controller. I am using a double monitor setup, if that holds any relevance, and would really appreciate some help. I'll fiddle around for a bit to try to figure it out.
If you are using Xpadder, I recommend uninstalling it and moving to the SCP driver installer. It automatically sets any ps3 or ps4 controller do act as an XBox controller. Plus you can use a bluetooth dongle which allows you to use the controller wirelessly. I hope this helps you out my friend.
As for anyone having trouble with controller connection to the game itself, A few things to do is go through the controls and double check that all settings are set as should be. Click the control and set the button to that action, even if it is already set to that button.
For people having trouble with dual screening them, I believe it usually only works on a single monitor. I would have to go into some testing to see if multi monitors work and/or if there is a fix.
I have a problem, I am playing minecraft 1.10.2 with the newest compatible version of joypad, My controller was working before, but the last 2 weeks, minecraft has not read the controller at all, I have reinstalled Joypad 3 times, and devices and printers on the control panel is still able to detect the actions of the controller, I just can't get minecraft to read it.

Having the exact same problem but on a different version. I was using the Inputmapper+PS4 Controller and had no issues using it with the Joypad mod 1.11.2. after awhile i think an update was downloaded to my minecraft and i haven't been able to detect my virtual controller since then.

No matter what, it always is, unless it isn't, at which point it isn't, but it could be if it is, so it will be until it isn't when it won't be
i have a problem my Xbox360 controller dosn´t work in 1.11.2 version how can i fix it?
