works in 1.8. but i have one problem i tested in single player and multi-player modes, brightness from 100% to 1500% is the same brightness as the default 100%, where in 1.7.10 from 100% to 1500% it would surpass the default brightness of 100%. Being Very bright, i miss that. Is there a fix for this?

If you are just referring to what the brightness slider says, Mojang changed its mechanics in 1.8 so that any value over 100% will show as "Bright" instead of 1500% or whatever it actually may be. If you are referring to the brightness in general, are you using a resource pack? If so, go look at the first fix listed in the FAQ.
To the mod creator: does this work on servers if the server doesnt have the mod installed? Because i noticed that there are some CHEATS on this forum that work WITHOUT SERVER PERMISSION!!!!!!!!!

And that is unacceptable.
Yes it does, it's client-side. I'm sorry to upset you, but this is one of those mods that it would be pointless to add server permissions for. If someone wanted to get it working on a server they could easily a. just up the brightness in the options.txt file manually b. modify and recompile the mod or c. use another mod
In my opinion it's not worth the effort to require server permission for such a harmless mod like this. Most servers allow it anyways, so I don't see how it's a big deal.

Honestly this isn't that much cheaty even. The only difference is it makes it very bright which you can already do in-game anyways(make it bright enough to see at night and in dark areas without torches). I don't really see how it makes it cheaty...
This is going to sound like a silly question, but is there any way to keep the indicator present when chat is open?
Yeah it's possible. I have it set right now to show only when no GUIs are active, but I could easily make an exception for when the chat is toggled. Just curious, what is the reason you'd like it to show? If you want it I could add this in the next update as long as there are no drawbacks.
I have a multi-monitor setup, and instead of hitting escape to get my cursor out of the game I just open chat and deal with whatever I need to on the other displays. My radar stays on when chat is open so if anyone is approaching me a quick glance I can find out. Sometimes I find myself thinking "Is gammabright on, or is it just really bright?" To figure this out I have to move my mouse to that display, click on the game and close chat. Having it visible with chat would just make for a better "at a glance" status of the game and of my surroundings.
Enjoy the update! I hope it fixes any problems you've been having.
Make sure you are running Minecraft 1.8 (NOT 1.8.1) and that you have the development build of LiteLoader for 1.8 as well.

I currently don't have them in the thread, but what versions would you like?
Edit: Here's some 1.7.2-LL 1.6.4-LL 1.6.4-Forge
Yes that seems to be a problem for some people, never had it happen myself though. What browser are you using? And thank you too!

I had actually forgotten to tell you I had gotten it to work within a couple days after that. Sorry if I had come off rude with that post lol

No, don't worry. You didn't come off rude at all. I appreciated the reminder.

Signs You're an Aging Gamer: You Press the "A" or "X" Button Rapidly During Loading Screens
tl;dr I have a really weird workflow.
Well thank you for the publicity! I'm glad it's well liked.
Good enough reason for me.
