I ruled out it does NOT have to do with the auto enable.
I am getting a LiteLoader error: https://gist.github....65b94da77e16d24
I tested just gammabright (liteloader linked with forge) and no luck
Now that I look at it...does my base gamma have to be 0.0?
Looks like something is interfering with LiteLoader's start-up sequence, post that error on the LiteLoader thread instead and see if Mumfrey can figure it out... (I have no idea to be honest)

Mumfrey said it had to do with me using MagicLauncher
But I tried it with minecraft alone and it doesnt work
Alright, so I am having a little problem with this.
I have Forge, Optifine, and liteloader also shaders installed
as soon as i drop gammabright into the mods folder, minecraft won't start, but it runs fine if its not there.
Thanks for any help,

If you could, maybe post the error log and I could check it out. Also, if you're using sonic ether's shaders, I believe they screw with the way Gammabright functions (so in that case it doesn't even matter).

I tested and ran it without optifine, it does make a difference with shaders, does the same thing 10.0 gamma does
I'll post an error log a little later, not on my main computer right now
I don't know what else I can possibly recommend to you (I'm trying!). Mumfrey's advice didn't work for you as well? I guess if you want to continue this on, let's take it to a private message so we don't flood the comments so much. Play around with it some more though, I'm sure you can get it working on your own.

It appears to be that the shaders are conflicting somehow. Anyways, try running the LiteLoader installer again to make sure that it is not being overtaken by any other mods and let me know how that goes.
Try running it without the shaders as well to make sure they are the issue.
I *LOVE* this mod. Thank you for the work that you have put into it. I had read earlier in the thread that holding SHIFT and pressing the toggle button would hide the text from appearing on screen. I was glad to find this option, but I wish it was simpler. I would like to see it changed so it fades out (similar to a chat message). When toggled the text would appear showing your brightness level and after a moment fade (or just hide itself).

Glad you like it! About the text, I think I'll look into the way chat messages fade (hopefully it's not too complicated) and try and work something out... Someone recommended a "TV volume" idea as well, which is basically the same thing, and I really like it!
No, but most mods (including Gammabright) are updated to 1.7.2 which is compatible with 1.7.4 servers. So just downgrade to 1.7.2 and you basically get everything 1.7.4 has, but with your mods as well.

Well it works for the rest of us. Give it another go, you'll figure it out...
Can you try with forge and my settings (keys, and gammabright settings, and initial brightness)
