I've been looking for a mod like this for quite a while, can't believe it took so long to find! I also love the addition of the Phoenix, it's a super cool mob. A suggestion for a kind of alternative to this could be a Thunderbird, perhaps it could be found rarely in certain biomes during a thunderstorm, and requires you to tame it? Another mythical bird suggestion is a lot more unreasonable, but I think a Roc boss in Extreme Hills biomes would be awesome.
This is a gorgeous mod and I'm really pleased with it. However, I'd really love to be able to blacklist/whitelist biomes for bird species. For example.... hummingbirds really don't belong in a snowy forest biome. It doesn't seem like this function is supported in the config file. Being able to do this would add a lot for me to taylor the realism just a bit!
Keep up the great work! Would love seeing additional species (pleassse let me have a tamed raven esp since Twilight Forest won't let me! *cries over forest ravens*) and other animals if you ever expand past birds!
There are already parrots in the game. Maybe you should rename your parrots "macaws" as they are actually called.
Haha, so my parrots came first and I asked on my discord community if people would want them to be replaced and they said no. There's five species of parrot present in total; four macaws (scarlet macaw, blue and yellow macaw, military macaw, hyacinth macaw) and a parrot (the african grey). So it wouldn't be correct to call them all macaws, but parrot is still valid
Would you consider adding the saddleback bird into this mod? They're a New Zealand bird, and I think there's two different species, North Island, and South Island. They're a really pretty bird and I'd love to see them added in. Here's a picture of one if you consider it.
