So, I was super excited to learn that there were more types of phoenix now, but I've tried about three times to hatch a water phoenix naturally and it keeps hatching as a normal one. I've tried... in a chamber in an ocean, on top of a block of sand on a beach, and placing it directly in water in a river. What would it take to get one of these birds to hatch blue?
I haven't tried for any others yet, so I don't know if it's just the water phoenix that is being this stubborn.
Ooh that's really weird. The phoenix should hatch in ocean biomes. It doesn't need to be in a chamber or anything. Just being in the biome should suffice.
This mod is so dang sweet. I can't wait for a more up-to-date version, but perfection takes time. Also, I see you haven't added hawks yet, any plans on that?
Thank you so much! And ah falconry will probably appear in a later update. I don't have much time recently though, but I have had it planned for a while

Just tried a couple more times with just a platform of sand in an ocean biome, but they both turned out normal. =/ Not sure what's going wrong with it. I got the cloud one to hatch no problem, but the water one is being stubborn.
Are albino peacocks supposed to not be able to mate? I found one in the wild and it eats seeds and the mating-hearts will show up but he wont mate with another normal female peacock. I guess that makes sense though so they're extra rare
Also I couldn't find much info about the albinos in this mod, so I was wondering, are peacocks and phoenixes the only birds that can be albino?
Okay last thing, I'm trying to hatch an albino phoenix above cloud level, but I keep getting normal phoenixes, is it random or am I doing something wrong?
Hi, I know every modder !hates! this question, but.. is there an ETA on the 1.11.2? I literally just found out about this mod about 15 mins ago (Sept.10, 2017 9:00am-ish CST). Really looking forward to trying it out!

I managed to hatch that one! I think you may just have to go higher up- I know I hatched mine up as far as I could go, but I think if you just go high enough that the biome name changes (or disappears) from the F3 information then that ought to be good?
Unless it's anything like the desert or water phoenix. =/ I have successfully hatched an icy, cloud, and end phoenix but every attempt to hatch the desert, water or black one winds up being a normal phoenix and I can't figure out why. Pavo said it was determined by biome, but ocean and desert biomes have repeatedly given me normal phoenixes and I don't even know where to go for a black one- I've tried down by bedrock and in a roofed forest but neither one worked.

That's correct yep. Albino peafowl aren't able to breed. The hearts issue is a bug that will be fixed in the next update. As for the phoenixes - anything above y=127 should be fine. If that doesn't work then there may be something that needs fixing.

I figured out what was going wrong with the desert and water phoenixes. It wasn't registering variants of those biomes, so only 'Desert' and 'Ocean' would work. 'Desert Hills' or 'Deep Ocean' wouldn't. As for the dark phoenix - that one isn't biome specific, but instead hatches at a full moon!

Oh I would have never guessed the dark one!
Still not sure what's going on with the ocean phoenix, though, because I've tried hatching in a pure Ocean biome multiple times and it keeps coming out normal. =/ It says ocean on the screen and I'm pretty sure I'm over ten blocks away from a beach. Stubborn little birds just don't want to be blue.

That's really, really weird. Do you have any world generation mods installed like biomes o plenty?
I noticed something about tame pelicans: they can fish on land. :3
I knew someone would mention this hehe! I decided to make it that way because players don't really spend a lot of time near water. But, yeah, it kind of is weird.
I posted this on CurseForge, but I'll post it here too.
The Egg Analyzer machine will decrement (Fire Fox doesn't think that's a word...) a stack of unknown eggs past zero (i.e. into negative number territory), which allows infinite analyzed eggs. Just a bit cheaty, if you ask me. So with one unknown egg you can get up to 64 analyzed eggs with a stack of redstone.

Yep, replied to your comment! It was a bug, so definitely not intended. Uploaded a fix for it last night
Really hop to let the player to change the spawning value.
In the RTG mod, the bird's spawning is not exactly like the ecological domain?
Just asking is a private server or a public one? because i believe this mod doesn't have an official server.

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — "No, you move
