AGAIN, every modern operating system uses different user accounts for different users.
What on Earth are you talking about? What does that have to do with anything? It's completely unrelated. We're talking about playing a single-player game of Minecraft versus playing a multi-player game of Minecraft. That can even be the same person. Sometimes they play single-player and sometimes they play multi-player. Who they are logged on to the operating system (let's say, Windows) as is irrelevant.
Extremely common actually. Millions of families have more than one family member in the same household that all play Minecraft on the same computer. Some play single-player only, some play multi-player only, and some play both.
This is an outstanding mod, thank you! I have no problems using it with Rei's Minimap, NEI, and Optifine. I also tried it with a half dozen other modloader mods and it's all perfect.
I'm still hoping to get an answer from you regarding my question about using the built-in default Minecraft font that gets used if you don't have this mod installed.
What do you use for the font name if you want to still use the default Minecraft font (and just change one of the other options instead like the drop shadow option for instance)? That is, both the normal default Minecraft font and maybe a "Bold" version of it too. Of course, having a separate font.type (or, font.sp.type and font.mp.type) would make things easier there.
Shouldn't (Can't?) the default font be the built-in default Minecraft font instead of the SansSerif font if font.name is not specified in the config file?
How can you specify for this mod to use Minecraft's built-in font instead (if even possible)?
Would size and typeface options (like "Bold") even be able to be applied to the built-in font? If so,going along with the above question, how?
I looked on the internet for the NEW Minecraft font that it currently uses but I couldn't find anything. I don't know if it's actually a standard font and which one it would be then.
I do know that Mojang changed the font from its original some versions ago. I can search the internet and easily find that OLD Minecraft font. Unfortunately, not the new one. Again, not sure if it's actually a standard font and which one if so.
EDIT: I was able to come across this other thread here on the Minecraft Forums that gave me a little bit of a better understanding on how Minecraft normally does its fonts.

Sorry, but with this mod you can't use either of the builtin Minecraft fonts. Those are bitmaps fonts and work quite differently from the OpenType/TrueType fonts that my mod uses. The reason I made "SansSerif" the default is that all the language translations are actually readable with tihs font. That's not true for either the old or the new builtin font that Minecraft comes with.
Bold and italic actually work quite well with the builtin font. Here's an example. However, resizing the font may not look so good. That's one major difference between bitmap fonts and vector based True/OpenType fonts: you can draw the vector font at any size and it sill looks good.

… because setting my font to 18 looks very nice, but messes up some signs and makes the chat waaay too huge
I like the idea, but unfortunately I can't make that work because my mod doesn't actually know what text it's drawing at any given moment. I would have to make changes to additional classes in Minecraft, which makes it more likely for my mod to cause a conflict with someone else's mod.
Now, as far as having multiple config files for SSP vs SMP, I'm not sure I want to do that (at least not yet). The main reason being, none of the other options in Minecraft do this, and I don't know of any other mods which do that either. If you have a need for more than one set of options like that, there are "portable" Minecraft launchers that let you run the game from different directories. Then you can have as many configurations as you want.
What you need to do is convert it from a ttf to an otf type font and it will work. There are freeware font editors out there that can do it for you, just use Goggle to find them.

What are you guys talking about?
Verdana Bold works PERFECT!
It is the font that I personally use with this mod!
NO need to "convert" it or anything!
Here's my line of code for it:
font.name=Verdana Bold
Of course, I find Verdana Bold actually looks a little bit better using Size 17 rather than the default Size 18.
Nope. Just copy the contents of the zip into minecraft.jar and delete the META-INF folder.
You can also use something like Magic Launcher instead. With Magic Launcher, you don't even need to delete the META-INF folder.
However, if you also use OptiFine, make sure you either install this mod after OptiFine or place it in the list after OptiFine in Magic Launcher. Normally, it's a better idea to install mods before OptiFine. But, this mod is the one exception to that rule.

I tryed that is it does not work, could it be that i am on a mac?

Yes.
Don't know how Macs do their font names etc. You might want to try a couple of different naming schemes since thvortex has stated that he needs to change how it grabs the names. Plus, I don't know if the names are case-sensitive or not. Or, maybe that is why Nodachi216 mentioned something about having to convert them first.
One example of the name thing is for the "Latin Wide" font. At least on Windows, you currently have to specify "Wide Latin" for the font name in this mod's config file. So, maybe something the same on Macs but in reverse of Windows or something. Maybe "Bold Verdana" for you instead.
This is another reason it would be good to separate out the "typeface" in the config file.

I completely understood what you were trying to say. You were the one not willing to understand.

The new bitmap Unicode font that Minecraft uses is from here: http://unifoundry.com/unifont.html

Answered just two posts above yours by thvortex himself.

Macs are adding a - between the font name and style so try using this:
It works! Thank you so much!
