I would like to report a bug. Well I don't really KNOW if it is a bug or a feature. Anyway, when i use the green glacier, it launches me 46 blocks. But when I try to make the jump pad as shown in the picture, it launches me to 350. I've noticed that the jumping height increases with the number of green ice in contact with it. So with one, its 46, with two its more and so on. And to be honest, even 46 is too high. I mean, you should make the mod more practical. You know, so that we can make cool slides and whoosh around in survival without getting hurt.
Another suggestion is, reducing the speed of blue glaciers. Not completely, but it could be that you accelerate with running on the ice. Like real skating, and that way the longer you stay on the ice, you get more speed and then hit a patch of green ice and go flying over a river to the next slides. Also, you could make them like railtracks. Then when you place one blue ice next to another one block lower,
it would merge with it. That way we could make ramps, and not have to clear out entire levels of land. It would be AWESOME!

Hm. I'm concentrating on Paleocraft and Zeuscraft at the moment, but once Paleocraft matures a little more and Zeuscraft updates to 1.5.2, I'll take a look into doing this.
Forge has changed for 1.6.1. I used Forge Version 8.9.0.775 to build and test Glacier Ice 6.4, but it should work on newer versions as well (and maybe older ones).
Thx! I updated to 1.6.2 and completely rewrote the thread from the ground up - it should be a lot more organized now. Keep in mind that it isn't 100% done, but I tried to include everything essential.
I'm surprised that no one has commented on how similar this is to Portal 2's gels. Blue ice speeds you up like the orange gel, and green ice makes you bounce, like the blue gel.
I once made a block like your ice on accident when I was messing with slipperiness. . .
You did an excellent job of turning it into a mod, though.
Thank you. Ya, I started this mod when Forge was long from existence back in about 1.7 Beta, and although I'm not nearly as new to modding as I was when I made this, I intend to keep it updated as long as I can.
Good idea. I'll just add "use glacier ice biome" into the config file for you. Sound good enough?
Also, we're now over 15000 DLs!
Crashes repeatedly, but only after playing a world for a minute or so. I really wanted to see the glacier biome*facepalm* oh. The minecraft website I downloaded it from mislead me by saying to put the stuff in minecraft.jar instead of mods folder.
And I have some ideas. Can't be bothered posting them now.
And an alternate banner you could use. Not that we need one.
Sorry, couldn't figure out how to link it to this thread.

Come to speak of it, I just might have to:http://www.minecraft...pic,9937.0.html

You can download Forge here:

To download, simply click on "launcher", and run the .jar you download. Open the Minecraft launcher and select the "Forge" Profile.

Hm. It's working for me. Try it now and see if it works. If it doesn't I'll just upload it to MediaFire for you.
What could this mean?
The link is broken for me as well
