I find it ridiculous that 3/4 of the majority doesn't even look at what they are posting, and half of the remaining 1/4 can't even see the problem, when it is clearly stated most of the time.
Secondary questions: I was not able to get a good answer to this from LexManos or cpw. It is 100% clear that full forge will never make it to J5, and the current FML apparently does not work in J5. However, Risugami's modloader does, so the idea is that modloader only functionality on the client -- even forge mod loader -- can potentially work in J5/PPC macs.
I saw your exchange on the FML thread. I have no answers for you but I believe EBXL is pretty much tied to Forge both client and server-side--they made the switch from version 2 onwards methinks.
I'll ask the same question another posted asked... Why are you tied to Java 5? You're locked out of running multiple distributions on your machine?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
How to deal with ignorance (in life, and on forums): The Zen way... Stay cool and polite, treat people as you wish to be treated, rise above your impatience. Everyone is ignorant of something at any point in their lives, including you.
Well the makers of the mod should have a general idea of what other mods could do to the mod they made... that's what I find ridiculous...
Actually it's the other way around... it's preposterous to expect the authors of any mod (not just this one!) to know in advance what weird behavior other mods may cause. Nobody is telepathic... and mod authors are mostly modifying Minecraft on their own, unaware of what everyone else is doing unless there's direct collaboration between the mod authors.
AFAIK there being no such collab between the authors of EBXL and WorldEdit, the general stance is: The problem is with the mod that's indicated as having issues in the crash log.
So you need to seek help on the WorldEdit thread, or come up with CONVINCING proof that EBXL is the cause. Which is absolutely not present in the crash log you posted..

On that machine, actually, yes; it's a power PC machine that only has Java 5. (Unless you count a non-supported early port of J6, something like patch 3, that has significant bugs and such).
The issue is LAN parties. That machine handles scene complexities of C:90 (F3 screen) reasonably well, as long as the entity count stays low (no animal farms), and we're either on the surface, or in a cave in a "permanent daylight" age. (There's a byteswap bug in PPC; torches generate skylight and the day/night cycle. Myst solved that by letting me write a "constant daylight" world, instead of having to constantly reset the clock.)
EDIT: Ok, the _PRIMARY_ reason is LAN parties. A secondary reason is being able to run a second world without having the world clock run faster than the machine can handle. But right now the snapshots don't work for that (21b -- last I tested -- has the server running full blast even if the client cannot keep up. )
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

I understand the wish, due to my waiting (semi-patiently) for 1.3 to come out, a few months to have passed and most mods to be server-capable so I can setup my current box as a server.
Beyond any questions about how a PPC could handle being the server for a CPU-intensive game like Minecraft (I commend your bravery), I suppose you've tried Soylatte? (My apologies if that doesn't turn out anything useful but I'm imagining/hoping you at least have a G4).

GamerBah, I'm going to give you a polite answer, even though your response to mine was rather rude. If you expect further help on this forum, then you should probably adjust your outlook.
This mod is not having an effect on WorldEdit. It is clear from the error log that you posted that WorldEdit is not playing well with the newer version of Forge. How do I know this? Because I just spent the better part of a week clearing up the same issue with Extrabiomes.
I appreciate your point of view; however, it is based upon the assumption that this mod did something to the other mod, or that the other mod did something to this one. In general, that is not how software works.
I understand your frustration, but I have put in the necessary work to make this mod work properly with the newer version of Forge. Your best bet is to target your frustration at people who have not made the same efforts.
I found out what causes that no hostile mobs were spawning. The "Better Dungeons" mod generates mobs in dungeons which doesn't despawn even when a chunk is unloaded. As there is a "hostile mobs" cap no mobs will spawn in the overworld even at night when there's a dungeon nearby - I let this here because some people encountered the same problem and though ExtrabiomesXL is the cause. It's not (I'm sorry .__.) ^^
i installed modloader and forge, but when i put the zip file in the mods folder, i get this crash;

In the interest of idiot-proofing... Perhaps it would be a good idea to force at least ONE biome to be loaded, in case the user gets it in their head to disable every single one in the config. =) *grins*
Also: I tried the above in the process of testing my very first biome, EBXL is incredibly practical for that. Except I disabled everything but vanilla Plains, yet some Forest also generated. Is it hardcoded somewhere, or considered a technical biome (???) (I could try to figure it out...

It's a G4, 7450. But it only does single player, or client, or in the near future, single player client/server.
Although, now that I think about it, it has the power to be the server backend if it does not have any gui issues. A well written server really does not have much CPU demand, and it can handle tick() fast enough if it's not tossing anything at the screen.
But my main machine does both with CPU to spare.
Have not heard of Soylatte. Or rather, I don't think I have. I did know about a third party Java implementation from Gnu, but it turned out to be missing significant portions of Sun's non-public library that hindered a large amount of programs from running.Sadly, Soylatte is intel-CPU only, so it's no good for me.
