Apparently, i can't make a grinding table and i cant find the texture for it. i have the Toomany items mod on and i see 2 drying tables.

Ive recently thought of a nice, unique way to add hemp.
Ive been reading up on it, and getting mixed messages.
But im considering changing toke, so it grows the stalk 2 high, then on top it will grow a head.
The stalk will be used for hemp fibers etc...
The head will contain the toke (bud) which will be used for smoking.
And then to all the haters, i could just say that 'toke' is a hybrid of hemp and marijuanna.
If you feel like it, maybe you could even look up on hemp and tell me what you think!
Hi, I had another idea that might prove useful. You can make it so that if a head is put down on wooden planks or on a rock based block(any except dirt or sand, who wants dirty/sandy weed?), if it is directly open to sky (except glass) or surrounded by torches then it'll dry over a 24hour period. If it rains on the toke then they itemise (pay attention to weather when drying toke outside). Millenaire used a similar concept with their mud bricks.
You can still keep the oven dryer method for fast mass drying(but it uses up fuel).
This might be a bit of a challange to setup but it would help when coal reserves are low/oven is not near.
Can you also make it so that toke can be used to fuel the furnace, but puts out an area affect around furnace that makes mobs affected neutral to the player(the pacifying effect of toke). Or if you give a creeper some toke, it doesn't explode and goes away peacefully.
If you want some of forges functionality without using full forge, millenaire and BTW use a stripped down version, you could look into that.
I am dying here... lol, so many mods I am waiting to either release, or update, or be compatible... I usually run 50+ mods... currently running modloader, this, and timber... I feel naked!

I have no argument, That sounds better to me anyways... I like the sugar cane growth, but the 100% chance of getting something smokeable leaves me with a massive stash, with getting less toke, and another presumably useful item, I see no downside.
Oh, and to add to my above statement... If that is whats keeping you on modloader instead of FML, can the villagers buy toke, also? If I can't hide it, I may as well be a kingpin... xD

Brilliant idea, but maybe make it three high, bottom root stock, middle hemp, top toke. And make it so that if you harvest the hemp straight away (no bud growth) and leave the root stock the hemp will grow back quicker, but if you harvest the head the whole plant dies. This is closer to real growth patterns, a weed plant can be kept in the green stage indefinatly but when flowers (smokable buds) start growing the plant starts dying. The green and flower stages are normaly controntrolled by amount of light, but for MC purposes harvesting at the right time would be sufficient(unless you want to make it light dependent).

i love it! just like a real cannabis plant. and as someone who has gained quite a bit of knowledge in the area over time, i can say that this method is very realistic and great over all. are you thinking of still making it planted by seeds like in BTW?
Just saying, people can and do smoke kief, also, it isn't the leaf that you smoke, it's the bud or flower. Maybe what you can do is when you break the plant, it drops both the bud and the leaf, then the leaf can either be crafted into seeds by placing it in a crafting grid, or used as a fuel for the furnace( As hemp is a very efficient bio-fuel)
hemp is a very efficient everything, lol. but ive brought up the bud thing before and his new idea seems to be more realistic. also kief is also used to make hash which would be a nice addition as well.

it would be cool if you could save up a bunch of keif and then smoke it all at once maybe even different types of weed so you could have a bunch of keif packed in.

I dont want to overdo it, i think 2 hemp blocks on bottom, with toke on top would work fine, since you could harvest the middle hemp and get hemp and toke out of it, or if your lazy and dont want to wait for the toke to grow you could just harvest the hemp.
I dont want to make it too complicated with too many textures and systems to one plant!

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if something went wrong when I installed the mod.
First, I can't seem to find it naturally growing ANYWHERE. Like I've created new worlds, flew around in creative mode, and still couldn't find it.
The other problem is that I can't seem to gt it to grow. Idk if I'm doing it wrong though. I have some sugar cane growing in my world so I planted the toke on a grass block next to the water. All of the sugarcane grew but the toke still hasn't grown taller than one block.
Regardless of the problems I'm having, which are most likely my fault, this is an awesome mod. Mad props to you sir. Could you also link a banner for me? I'd love to advertise your mod in my signature.
I tend to use 64 on regular minecraft, 128 can be a bit much for my laptop to handle, but i will probably start using 128 when i finally get my gaming computer built, which wont be for awhile.

normally i dont either, but sphax is one of those it looks kindof off on 16 and even 32, but any size would doo really, thogh 32 or 64 would be prefered. its just the doku craft ones dont really fit in too well with it

I read in earlier posts that you do not smoke marijuana and as someone who knows much about the drug It would be my honor to lend a hand. I have lots of ideas racing through my head which will make a pretty lengthy post if I type them all down so I'll tell you a few of them and you can maybe pm or something if you are interested?
When you take a toke in-game you are under 2 effects, hunger and nausea. I'm guessing you used nausea to simulate the effect of being high, but weed does not carry the effect shown and nausea is probably a better portrayal of LSD. Maybe we can figure out another way to simulate it, by enhancing textures etc.
When someone is high on weed they have impaired movement, so I was thinking why not slow the player down in game, the better the piece (pipe) the slower the player will go, as well as changing the way you look around to a smoother more cinematic view, which can be done in-game by pressing F8, but it would be cool if that was implemented into your mod as well.
Well, hopefully you an hear me out! These are just a couple of my ideas that I think can improve the mod a bit and I hope you take them into consideration and I will be happy to help out some more. Even if you don't like my ideas, I still really enjoy playing with your mod and think it is a great addition to Minecraft.

I know thats not what its like when your high, and i was thinking of a way i can code in a more fitting effect.
I was considering adding an overlay over the screen, like the pumpkin blur, but it would be slightly multi-coloured and it would be opaque.
I was also considering adding in an effect with that, where the movement is impaired in some way.
So thanks for pointing that out.
Right now though im working on adding hemp below the plant, and toke on top.
That will make it more effort to get toke, and there will be a useful part of the plant on bottom for uses other than smoking.
