This mod was inspired by Nanodnalt's "More Trees" mod. Four of the trees added in this mod stem from the ideas of Nandonalt's trees (e.g. the same tree names), but use separately developed code.
I hope you guys enjoy.

great mod you could have some of the trees from industrial and build craft and also shouldent the tree in the desert have no leaves because its in a desert
Some trees are able to survive in deserts.
I've tried to make the leaves look dry at least.
Great work ... one request though, can you add a config file for the tree generation. I'm getting some odd conflicts with other mods. For example I am getting some trees that have enchanting tables for leaves.
Oh, and you might want to get in touch w/ the author of the big trees mod. (You are both modifying the wn.class file) This mod + big trees would go really well together.
I think we'd like to get any kinks out first, and then maybe Nightshade consider. Looks like more work to do....
Oh and congrats buddy for launching your mod. I barely even consider myself a co-developer for just reminding you about leveraging some OO stuff since it is Java code. *Is honored*
great mod you could have some of the trees from industrial and build craft and also shouldent the tree in the desert have no leaves because its in a desert
Honestly? How can a tree live without its leaves? The trees that survive with little water are generally short, with allot of small leaves, but underground they have very extensive roots going all the way down to water reservoirs.
Could the trees come with roots in the next update next update?
Great mod! I'm excited to try it out. There's one or two things I'd really like though that I feel would improve the mod.
Make the Jacaranda trees more lavender in color rather than the bold blue with a purple tint they currently have. It makes them look cartoonish. This would require a bit more work, but if you could add some green speckles in there to represent the leaves (which are there, although admittedly not prevalent while in bloom) that would be even better.
Make the cherry tree leaf texture slightly less bold and more even in tone. Most of the color is pretty great but you've got dark red specks in there that throw it off. Perhaps those represent cherries, but a cherry tree would either be blooming or fruiting, not both simultaneously. While blooming the coloration is more pastel and smooth.
Slightly more complex then a retexture, but if you made the cypress trees' leaves start the second block up the trunk regardless of overall height, they would look more like cypress and less like other generic evergreens. Also, the thin upper part tends to stretch longer than those pictures show. However, it's really just cool that you included cypress at all. You're the only modder I've seen do that.
Just do a google image search on any of those trees for comparison if you're wondering what I mean.
Now that you have my suggestions, may I just say again that this looks great and I can't wait to try it. Your Angel Oak is awe inspiring, and the way you shape the fig, apple, and desert trees is really cool. As a resident of Arizona I can confirm that yes, trees do grow in the desert. However, they tend to be scrubby and full of needles. Not good climbing at all. Palo Verdes are pretty rad though, so if you're in the mood for more ideas, you might try your hand at those.
What block does it use :S pictures seem to only show the vanilla wood and vanilla leaves.
Vanilla wood and leaf base textures are used with a color multiplier for their slightly unique appearance.
I don't want to put more textures than I already have.
There is only one new log and that's for the cherry tree. Though I can add more, I don't see a reason to at this time.
So many baseclass modified ?
In industrialcraft2 the trees generation do not change baseclass maybe for futur :smile.gif:
That worked for IC because those trees weren't biome specific.
I want my trees to only grow in certain areas.
If I figure something out towards what you're saying, I'll consider it.
I hope you guys enjoy.

Did I just win the internet?
Ok, it would actually be very easy to make a forge independent AND modloader independent one.
If anyone else asks, I'll do it.
Some trees are able to survive in deserts.
I've tried to make the leaves look dry at least.
Oh, and you might want to get in touch w/ the author of the big trees mod. (You are both modifying the wn.class file) This mod + big trees would go really well together.
Thanks Again,
Mojito

I think we'd like to get any kinks out first, and then maybe Nightshade consider. Looks like more work to do....
Oh and congrats buddy for launching your mod. I barely even consider myself a co-developer for just reminding you about leveraging some OO stuff since it is Java code. *Is honored*
Good work. 8-)
Honestly? How can a tree live without its leaves? The trees that survive with little water are generally short, with allot of small leaves, but underground they have very extensive roots going all the way down to water reservoirs.
Could the trees come with roots in the next update next update?
Just do a google image search on any of those trees for comparison if you're wondering what I mean.
Now that you have my suggestions, may I just say again that this looks great and I can't wait to try it. Your Angel Oak is awe inspiring, and the way you shape the fig, apple, and desert trees is really cool. As a resident of Arizona I can confirm that yes, trees do grow in the desert. However, they tend to be scrubby and full of needles. Not good climbing at all. Palo Verdes are pretty rad though, so if you're in the mood for more ideas, you might try your hand at those.
Thanks for this awesome mod. 1 rep for you!
Vanilla wood and leaf base textures are used with a color multiplier for their slightly unique appearance.
I don't want to put more textures than I already have.
There is only one new log and that's for the cherry tree. Though I can add more, I don't see a reason to at this time.
Thank you for your suggestions. I will make said changes after the next update!
That worked for IC because those trees weren't biome specific.
I want my trees to only grow in certain areas.
If I figure something out towards what you're saying, I'll consider it.
