I'm having a problem on my small server, I've made sure that both the client and server have the same IDs.
When trying to use any of the extended pistons(double,triple,quad), the piston head and rod disappear when powered. They do the initial push, then vanish. If the blocks are gravity blocks(sand,gravel) they fall back down to the piston base.
I just received a stile on my media fire account for holding more pistons bulkit 1.0 from MC 1.2.5 back when I ported it ( with your expressed permission ) I just wondered if it might have been you who might have made the report?

Go into one of the configs (either for this mod or the more furnaces mod) and change the conflicting ID(s) to open block ID(s), thus resolving the conflict. its not an incompatibility issue

how about a piston that can go infinite in length (or a set MAX value, config option maybe?) where it has 2 redstone input sides, one side increases the lenght by one for every redstone tick, and the other shortens it for every tick, that makes for completely setable pistons (like for elivators)
and another thing, a kind of air block that pistons view as a block, but players can walk through example:
SSSS
SAAS
SAAS
SSSS
where S= stone or any normal block
and A = that special air block
so if you had a (let's call it a tick piston for now), you could set them on the top and bottom sides of this, players could go inside and it would lift them up without collapsing the hollow box
makes for a perfectly functional and good looking elivator
Can you please make this work for bukkit? I know it wont look that great.. like the stick part wont be there... But just a plugin, where users don't have to modify there client for it to work. I made a small simple cfg...

I'm not sure if this is a great idea or a horrible idea as I just came up with it randomly. Feel free to completely ignore it as it might be kind of long.
Some people like to make hidden staircases. But the problem is, the blocks used to make hidden staircases have to be normal blocks to be hidden and it cant be like stairs or slabs since it will be seen. But my idea is that there is a half-block piston. The half-block piston is used to push only half of a block (Probably 2 slabs places in one space) out which allows for hidden staircases.
It is possible to have a hidden staircase that shows the back of the stair blocks (which looks like a full block) when unextended, but when pistons push it, it rotates into a staircase. I saw this in a video that I can't seem to find right now, but it works.

you should see if you can make it so that the blocks moved by the longer pistons don't briefly turn purple while moving. When pushing stairs I found that they turn purple breezily.
Hey...arrent you the guy to make the origenal pistons? if so the THANK YOU!!! I started to play minecraft because of pistons...(and TNT...rerely TNT) and I like this mod! it's just that knowing you're the person that made the pistons (I do love gravitational pistons too!)
can you PLEASE make an auto instaler? (with forge as on of the auto istaler) also minecraft forge hates me! it install all corectly (like when I putt it into the correct folder and when I go to start minecraft it crashes! and it wont let me finish the istalling it'll just crash again! and with that minecraft forge is a modeloader that only works with a full premium account!...and to top it all off! I have a premium account! and I do apoligise for being such a spam in this meseage about forge...
