If your soldiers were dying then give them weapons to make them stronger and see if the mobs die (or hurt). If the mobs dont get hurt/die then it might be a bug, I'll check it out and report if I have the same. My soldiers used to killed CREEPERS before Koda abandoned it.

They still attack mobs. BUT Slimes, for me it seems like the soldiers are being pushed around but not being hurt. Other mobs on the other hand can be hurt by the soldiers and they can hurt the soldiers. Also the soldiers do not attack the slimes. I think this might have been cause they would never think people would bring such things like a Clay Soldier to so a low level. I am suspecting you being on a super-flat map or underground since there is slimes.

Clay war machines like ballista and catapult would be nice, As well as possibly ammo carts that clay soldiers could go up to and get more ammo for catapults, Ballista, And themself, Also battering rams that would knock clay soldiers away throwing them four blocks into the air, Also wings made of feathers and a stick that would make a clay soldier able to fly would be nice, These would allow for more complex battles.

I'm surprised there is nothing about SMP on the main page. Are they planning on making an SMP version?

No, its a thing about slimes themselves

Kodaichi posted something about it in the fairies thread. Its got to do with how slimes pick their targets

I have an idea. Add another item (A chest) that holds the things you need to build a clay army. The stuff in the chest would be:

1 Gold Ingot
8 Gravel
8 Slime
8 Clay
64 Sticks
64 Flint
64 Leather
64 Wool
64 Glowdust
64 Diamond (Optional)
64 Redstone Dust
64 Iron Ingots

I am just way too lazy to give all that stuff to my clay soldiers, having to find them all in TMI and everything is difficult and I always forget something...

I was just reading your op, i found this little snippit "guns/tanks/jeeps/planes/helicopters/other vehicles: they don't fit in with the theme of this mod"

While i recognize that these items would be hard to implement, okay really really hard to implement - i think you should just say that instead of making excuses.

All of those thing fit in the theme of the mod, which is: "Small minions that fight". While i don't want to have any of those items, because it would be far to hard to implement, wouldn't it be cool to have one side call artilery on the other side, you could use iron mixed with gunpower and a tinder as the artilery. That would be so epic, and so hard to implement.

The main point of this post: Don't beat around the bush, go straight through it.

Or maybe he doesn't want to add them because he doesn't want modern stuff in a mod that consists of you using souls harvested from the underworld to bring clay dolls to life to fight for your amusement?

How the heck can you even consider a mod where you can make tiny snow pegasi the type of thing to add artillery cannons to. I mean, seriously. Just think about that

He doesn't want to add them because this isn't MODERN WARFARE, BLOW EVERYTHING UP. Because they don't fit. He probably could make them, but why would he?

could you add something like if you had a green soldier and got purple dye you could change its team.
maybe with the whites it would get that colour stripe through the middle of it and that team won't attack? just an idea

As you update this mod, you ought to have two downloads; you updated version, and an the final version made by Koda made compatible with the most recent update.

Multiplayer, please! This would be an ultimate multiplayer mod, so please make an smp version.

I have a suggestion that fits in with the mid AND isnt suggested fifty million times: boats either a group of soldiers could mount a boat like a warship or you could give them mushrooms which they could use as boats (removing the stalk and hollowing it out)
