You can configure the color of Glowstone Wire through the Forge interface starting on version 1.0.2.113 via Mods > Glowstone Wire > Config.

Technical Details
For 1.6.4 and below, the Glowstone Wire block uses block ID 4095 by default. I doubt many mods use it, but a config file has been added so you can change the ID.
The render ID for glowstone wire is picked by Forge/ModLoader and will not collide with another mod.
Editing the redstone wire texture will also edit the glowstone wire texture.
Forge New Launcher Installation (for players AND server owners):
Forge installation on the new launcher is now extremely easy to do!
Go grab the recommended/latest version at http://files.minecraftforge.net/, click on 'Installer' to begin downloading.
Once you have the installer, simply double click it to run the installer and choose to install the Client/Server, depending on your use.
On Windows, your mods folder will be located at %APPDATA%\.minecraft\mods.
On OS X, open Finder, click Go > Go to... and type ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods/. This is your mods folder.
On Linux, your mods folder will be located at ~/.minecraft/mods.
Now put Glowstone Wire in that folder, launch the game using the Forge profile and the mod will be there.
Forge Legacy UNIVERSAL Installation (for players AND server owners):
This is the version that requires Forge. Recently Forge combined the server and client source, so now all Forge mods only need 1 mod file that can be used in both the server and client.
Go to http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the latest universal version of forge for your version of Minecraft.
Client Install
Windows:
1. Go to %APPDATA%\.minecraft\bin\ and backup Minecraft.jar (copy it somewhere)
2. Open Minecraft.jar with your archiver and delete/rename the META-INF folder inside it.
3. Open up the Forge zip with your archiver and drag all the files inside the zip into Minecraft.jar
4. Return to %APPDATA%\.minecraft\ and create a new folder named mods.
5. Copy/move the glowstone wire zip into the mods folder.
Mac OS X:
1. Go to /Users/~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/ (where ~ is your username) and backup Minecraft.jar (copy it somewhere)
2. Open Minecraft.jar with an archive program and delete the contents of the META-INF folder. Go back to the root (main directory) of the jar. DO NOT DELETE THE FOLDER ITSELF OR YOU WILL RECEIVE A BLACKSCREEN.
3. Open up the Forge zip with your archiver and drag all the files inside the zip into Minecraft.jar
4. Return to /Users/~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/ (where ~ is your username) and create a new folder named mods.
5. Copy/move the glowstone wire zip into the mods folder.
I don't have personal experience with Linux, so this might not work...
Linux:
1. Go to ~/.minecraft/bin and backup Minecraft.jar (copy it somewhere)
2. Open Minecraft.jar with your archiver and delete/rename the META-INF folder inside.
3. Open up the Forge zip with your archiver and drag all the files inside the zip into Minecraft.jar
4. Return to ~/.minecraft/ and create a new folder named mods.
5. Copy/move the glowstone wire zip into the mods folder.
Server Install
Note: This server will only allow Forge clients in. DO NOT DELETE/RENAME THE META-INF FOLDER OR YOUR SERVER WILL REFUSE TO START.
All operating systems:
1. Go to your server directory and backup minecraft-server.jar (copy it somewhere)
2. Open minecraft-server.jar with your archiver.
3. Open up the Forge zip with your archiver and drag all the files inside the zip into minecraft-server.jar
4. Return to your server directory and create a new folder named mods.
5. Copy/move the glowstone wire zip into the mods folder.
Build 104+ does not edit any base files.
Build 106 requires either Forge OR ModLoader + ModLoaderMP.
Build 107 is for Minecraft 1.3.1/1.3.2/1.4.2.

so its like redstone but it gives off light? and does it carry a redstone current? If not you should expand to make like Glostone repeaters and torches to do the same as redstone but gives off light and doesnt interfer with redstone

It has the same power as a redstone torch (ie 15). I'm not sure what you'd want a glowstone torch for though, there are already normal torches ingame.
Mod, huh? Interesting. Too bad it wasn't an official update to the game. :/
True. But then people would want gunpowder wire. So you can activate TNT from a distance. Without redstone. Though I think gunpowder is more rare than redstone...
Hmm... Gunpowder wire... Good idea...

I don't like the bug where glowstone has a redstone charge.
Here's an idea: you should be able to combine redstone and glowstone dust to make Orangestone dust, which you can put on the ground to make orangestone dust, which glows if powered. You can also put four orangestone dusts in the crafting grid to make orangestone.
why not make it so Glowstone dust, when placed, has light level 4. give it a redstone charge, and it gets lightlevel, well, 8 or so?
either that, or mix 3 pieces of glowstone with 1 piece of redstone. this makes Lightdust, and can be placed like redstone. it gives off light level 4 when placed and level 8 or 10 when powered.

So, at the moment it's just for asthetic lighting? Hm... Maybe I can come up with a creative use for it, in that xase I'll let you know
Looks really good though, keep it up!
My friends tried it out and are using it to make nearly invisible lighting. It's also good for paths.
I have an idea: Orangestone should work like an upgraded version of redstone! The power travels further, let's say 30 blocks, and things you power with it have, well, more power For example, a piston can push up to 16 blocks instead of 12 and dispensers shot items more powerful.
Several problems with that:
1. Orangestone would be overpowered and nearly no-one would use redstone. Unless you craft it using glowstone dust and redstone dust, but I think that's still a bit overpowered...
2. Redstone power was limited to 15 blocks only because of computation limits (and because metadata fits only 16 blocks). If redstone could run 30 blocks, servers with long redstone on it would lag a lot and in singleplayer it might be slower because of lag.
You could also make it so that you need to craft pistons and dispensers with orangestone to make this work. Maybe also Orangestone repeaters where the smallest setting has no delay at all?
3. Again, no delay means that your computer (the real computer running Minecraft) will need to process a huge amount of redstone in a single tick. Special pistons and dispensers will require new blocks, although that's not a problem with the upcoming anvil format.
I do accept suggestions, but sometimes we need to balance out the gameplay.

Thanks! I'll look into that shortly.
Get the new version I uploaded that uses ModLoader!
I just did. =P
Same like the powered by redstone thing, I'll look into it.
Yep. I agree.
I'll look into ModLoaderMP and see what I can do.

Fixed.
Great idea, I made a poll for it.

Yep, I'm planning it! It might need an extra dependency though... (ModloaderMP)
