Disregard my Last post I put the Buildcraft stuff into the .jar.....
I am having a new problem I installed everything as instructed go ingame no errors so far load my world Now the problem Whenever I try to break or pick up anything the game crashes and says "Saving Chunks" then a black screen. Any help for this?
EDIT: Found out whenever I create a world same "Saving Chunks" Then black screen error PLEASE HELP NOW
Nice one with the gears, FC! When are we going to be able to smelt BC items such as steel gears down in the crucible?
Not sure about that one honestly, as I want to put a little more thought into how melting BC stuff down should play out, as it may require a reworking of the Crucible code to handle outputting multiple types of substances from a single one (eg. Diamond gears melting down into steel, gold, and diamond). There's nothing that works like that in BTW as of yet, so it'll likely take a fair amount of work for a rather small gain (although, it's something I've been wanting to do in BTW for awhile now anyways, so I'll probably get to it eventually).
Right now I'm focusing my energy on getting the water-valve into the mod as it's just too awesome an idea to not include

Lol! Yeah, I'm really excited about it too. I've been happily constructing water-channeling mechanisms in my BTB world, and honestly man, it's really ****ing cool to be thinking in these terms within MC

At this point I can only imagine! It's going to be rough for me to stop limiting the way I think to what has been possible so far and really start from what I want done and then test. Though with some of the thoughts running through my head, maybe it won't be so hard...

I can't see anything wrong with that. The only suggestion I could make is that you redownload the latest version of ModLoader and ModLoaderMP, as I've seen similar problems crop up in the past when people are accidentally using an old version.

I just redownloaded both still same error. Any Ideas?
I just redownloaded both still same error. Any Ideas?
Sorry man, I'm basically out of ideas. The only one I can think of off hand is to delete your bin directory and start fresh with a clean .jar in case there are remnants of an old mod in there or something. That's basically the last resort measure I always recommend as its fixed odd problems on multiple occasions.
Otherwise, we can only hope that someone else comes up with an idea, but given that nobody is chiming-in I suspect we're all out of suggestions.
Ha, again you released an emergency fix after I had downloaded and not installed yet. Thank you.
Too friggin' fast for me man, too friggin' fast.
Lol! Thanks man
I really hate putting out these emergency versions though. As demonstrated last night, they can easily lead to other problems as it doesn't give me time to properly test whatever functionality I'm in the process of implementing.
Anyways, hopefully this will be one of the last times this happens, as the code-base is both stabilizing with each release, and I'm also getting used to working with multiple mods simultaneously.
With each release I've been stream-lining my own process, which goes a long way towards preventing screw-ups.

I'm short on ideas as well. I had a similar error to what you describe but it was fixed in 1.02. I notice you're running BTB 1.02, you could try downloading 1.03 although there weren't any major changes. The only other difference between your installation and mine is Too Many Items, although I can't imagine how that would impact the game.
Actually there is one thing you could try. Are you using MCPatcher? If you are, you can run minecraft in a test mode which might help indicate where the errors are coming from when you load the saved game. When you fire up MC patcher, just use the test minecraft button, load a game and then post the error generated here.
Mr. flowerchild I have been wondering is this a bug or did zi not install it right I place a wooden pump from buildcraft then my Mc crashes can you answer plz

Probably an installation error man, as that kind of bug would be immediately noticed and reported by a ton of people.
i love both mods but the recipies seem to annoying to make
Think of it as a way to encourage automation man. But having said that, it's not for everyone. The level of challenge present in BTB is greater than pretty much anything out there, and it will likely only increase with time as both tech-trees develop further.

The level of challenge is one of the reasons I'm loving it. Just starting to pump oil. Took a while to get to that point. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not a fan of the instant gratification a lot of the mods out there offer. You HAVE to put the work in to get the rewards with BTW and now BTB, and the sense of accomplishment is that much bigger because of it. I always look forward to BTW updates because of the work I get to put in to get to the new stuff, and now with BTB, it's even more so.
Can you be more specific? Could you post your modloader.txt to indicate the error?
Also, make sure you've upgraded both BTB and to Better Than Wolves version 3.48. This newest release is dependent on the newest version of Better Than Wolves.
Okay Mine was 3.46 Gonna upgrade now :happy.gif: Cool thanks :biggrin.gif:

I'm not sure if a ninja-edit really qualifies
