At some point I would highly recommend running Hard core bucket mode, it adds another great and challenging dimension to BTW/BTB
Yeah, if I start adding unique blocks to BTB, I think something to tie into the BC pipe system and output a water source would be high on my list as I think it would go great with HCB.
I still haven't made up my mind about whether to start including new blocks in this thing though. If I do, I will likely want to keep it relatively simple, like the above. If there's someone feeling ambitious out there that would like to produce such an add-on for BC, feel free to go for it as I get the impression it would be very well received by BTB players.
I'd envision it probably working best if it basically acted like a storage tank for water, that would slowly drain off its reserve by producing non-source-block water around it. This could then be channeled to power water-wheels, control item flow, etc.
I could probably rework the BTB tech-tree slightly too to make the BC Pump not be dependent on the Mining Well, so that it could be built earlier on around the time you get access to the Waterproof pipes through making glue in the Cauldron.
The only thing that might suck in terms of doing it as an add-on is that it would probably require modifications to the water base-classes to get them to recognize the reservoir as a source-block so that they flow naturally off of it. Might be best if I did it myself then since I've already come to terms with being despised for my base-class modifications :wink.gif:
You really should keep a separate install for playing SMP man. Joining multiplayer servers with various SSP mods installed is dirty to say the very least, and can lead to all kinds of problems.

Yeah, if I start adding unique blocks to BTB, I think something to tie into the BC pipe system and output a water source would be high on my list as I think it would go great with HCB.
I still haven't made up my mind about whether to start including new blocks in this thing though. If I do, I will likely want to keep it relatively simple, like the above. If there's someone feeling ambitious out there that would like to produce such an add-on for BC, feel free to go for it as I get the impression it would be very well received by BTB players.
I'd envision it probably working best if it basically acted like a storage tank for water, that would slowly drain off its reserve by producing non-source-block water around it. This could then be channeled to power water-wheels, control item flow, etc.
I could probably rework the BTB tech-tree slightly too to make the BC Pump not be dependent on the Mining Well, so that it could be built earlier on around the time you get access to the Waterproof pipes through making glue in the Cauldron.
The only thing that might suck in terms of doing it as an add-on is that it would probably require modifications to the water base-classes to get them to recognize the reservoir as a source-block so that they flow naturally off of it. Might be best if I did it myself then since I've already come to terms with being despised for my base-class modifications :wink.gif:
