Anyone try this out with logistics pipes? If it works how does Logistic Pipes handle the BTW inventories?
It *should*. I haven't tested any of the BC sub-mods myself, but I took care to make sure that there isn't anything in BTB that would interfere with them, including leaving items from the BC tech-tree intact in terms of recipes, even though they aren't used anywhere in the BTB combined tech-tree (namely wood and stone gears, plus the cactus waterproof).
Anyways, if you give it a try, please let me know if it works out. I'm sure it would help a lot of folks out to know.
I have some questions:
1.- Are the "1 block added" mods compatible with BTB? Because i would like to install Crafting Table II.
2.- How many Block ID's would be left if BTB is installed?
3.- Would you make an official graphic tech tree? (Similar to the one on the wiki)
3b.- Would it include BTB stuff?
I honestly haven't played survival BTW, but if my doubts are clear, i will definetly download BTB. :smile.gif:
There are a lot of really over-sensitive people around here, it seems. I was willing to give this a try but it's clear that it's the same crowd of yes-men and fanboys. FC may not like the things that have been said about him but he continues to act the same way.
What we have here is a collection of good ideas, with a bunch of egos standing in the way. That's sad.
The only ego I see here that's getting in the way of anything is your own.
Any ego that you accuse me of has in no way prevented me releasing this mod (or BTW) for people to enjoy.
On the other hand, yours seems to have you storming off in a hissy-fit refusing to use this mod because you've developed some kind of personal vendetta against me. You also seem determined to interfere with others enjoying my mods through slander.
You decided to trash-talk me at length on various forums for weeks because I responded sarcastically to a kid that was pestering me for a 1.0 update, amidst a ton of others that were doing the same. That included everything from calling BTW useless, to calling me an outright liar with regards to my reasons for leaving the Forge (no idea where you got that one from btw, you seem to have no need for any form of substantiation in any of these claims). There was absolutely nothing constructive about any of it, and it amounted to nothing more than a prolonged multi-forum rant. That gives me no doubt that you will continue on this little personal crusade of yours now that I've given you additional incentive by not being grateful for the unsolicited grammatical analysis you provided of the thread title.
And your self-justification is laughable man. "I was just joking". Yeah, right. Well, guess I was "just joking" too. I've always been joking, and I'm still joking now. Funny isn't it? Haha. Guess we really like each other behind this big joke-fest of ours, and our perpetual ribbing is only an expression of the deep affection between us.
<sniff> love you man. You are, and will remain, one of my favorite trolls.
Been following Better Than Wolves for awhile, played it with Buildcraft and Equivalent Exchange when it was in forge, went back to only BTW, now this; First THANK YOU FLOWERCHILD AND SPACETOAD.
Second, has anyone made a texture pack for this yet? thanks

NOTE:I did not install Forge because it crashes my Minecraft.

You're welcome man.
I know that there are already 1 or 2 combined texture packs in the works for use with BTB, but I don't think any are ready yet. This mod has only been out a few days, so give it a bit of time and I'm sure they'll be one.
good work on this mod and i was just wondering if you would consider industrialcraft? and if you will make it smp? and those are my favorite mods (exept for industrialcraft)
actually, it IS forge compatible. It's just not required. READ
no, it explicitly is not forge compatible. Your rude response does not match well with your knowledge.
Regarding "READ", see the OP:
Minecraft Forge is NOT required to be installed for this mod to function (installing it separately will actually interfere with the proper functioning of this mod)
I have some questions:

And:
4.- Is BTB save safe? (If the mod is deleted, mod blocks are deleted from the world).
4.- Is BTB save safe? (If the mod is deleted, mod blocks are deleted from the world).
It should be as safe for your saves as any other mod (mod blocks disappear, items in chests will cause crashes when opened).
Because it modifies base-classes though, what it isn't "safe" for is your minecraft.jar. If you uninstall it at some point, I strongly recommend deleting your bin directory, redownload the game, and start fresh. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems beyond what you'd normally have with a mod.
As for your other questions, I think no one answered because you are just as capable of finding the answers as the rest of us, and the rest of us probably don't know off-hand.
But no, I won't make a graphic tech-tree. If someone wants to put one together, I'm definitely cool with that, but I'd prefer to focus on working on the mod(s).
Doesn't look like thousands to me, and considering you aren't running a server, those 3 don't matter, and since this is a 1.0.0 mod you should download the 1.0.0 version (in short, the first one). Have you downloaded mods before? Most of them list old versions as well.

Ok, thanks. Now i can officialy download this mod. :wink.gif:
Also, i love the way this mod works. It's pretty much like you were evolving. I'm really excited to test this out on survival, because when i use mods, i usually use TMI for messing around. Who knows? Maybe i'll end up requiring it for playing minecraft :biggrin.gif:
I would heavily recommend you play through to mod in survival (on at least normal difficulty) before messing around with TMI. The mod has been developed in such a way that using the technology in the tier it becomes available is normally manual, but it's the best way to work out how you want to automate things at a later date.
But good luck, and don't forget to throw soul urns at creepers!
Yeah, in some ways you can think of the tech-tree as a prolonged tutorial on how to use various aspects of the mod. Generally, as I introduce new elements, usage of them is in some way required to move up to the next level, giving you a basic understanding of how they work along the way.
I also try to integrate various aspects of vanilla Minecraft into that as well, such as different aspects of redstone usage (like how the Bellows requires a functional understanding of redstone timers). My goal with that is to basically encourage people to learn the skills necessary to build the complex automation devices required at later stages of the tech tree.
If someone just jumps in and tried to build an automated soul-forge (which is probably the most challenging task in the BTW tech-tree right now), I can assure you that it will be rather headache inducing :smile.gif:
Of course, this is all BTW related, but by extension applies to BTB as well. I think playing through in survival is not only a much more satisfying way to play, but is a learning experience that will lead to more fun down the road as well.

You have to use Buildcraft 2.2.11, not 2.2.6

Never. BTW doesn't support Forge anymore.
Here is an interview where FC explains why he dropped support for forge:
About 25/30 years total, 15 of those professional :smile.gif:
But seriously, you don't need anywhere near that kind of experience to mod. Just start small, keep your goals reasonable and modular, and have fun.
