@Brethern Yes, that's what the instructions say, and it would be nice if it was true. The only BTWConfig.txt file in my .minecraft folder is the one I created and put there, and the contents of it are cut and pasted directly from the wiki 'fcEnableHardcoreBuckets=0'. I don't get what I'm doing wrong here.
By default, BTB overrides the BTW config file in terms of HCB. Throw the BTB Config file in there and disable it in that.
Just wanted to note that the 1.1 version of Better Than Wolves that just came out (V 3.491) is obviously NOT compatible with BTB, since BTB is still working off version 1.0 of Minecraft.
If you need to old 1.0 version of BTW to work with it, it can be found here:
I'm glad I was sensible enough to come here and verify this before I started doing the update. I guess I should start getting all of my other mods downloaded for the latest version, since BTW is updated.
EDIT: I guess it says something about how many mods I use when it takes me nearly 15 minutes to find and download all of the ones that have been updated, lol. Well, in any case, I'll I'm waiting for at this point is Logistics and Teleport Pipes for BC, and, of course, BTB.

I get a blackscreen every time. I reinstalled and didn't put in forge but did use this mod as well as BTW, ModLoader, MoadloaderMP, and the 5 files related to the BC. Am I missing something? I also have toomanyitems in game inventory editor. Surely It wouldn't conflict with that :tongue.gif:
I left out forge since i Guess people were having issues with it.
I would give you the modloader file but It says the last time it was updated was about 8 hours ago.
I was just going to reply and make sure you were using the correct version of everything, but it looks like my previous post made you self-correct. Glad to know that I could (inadvertently) help.

Yeah lol...
So to clarify I use the l.0 version of BTW and BTBC with the current version of BC? I think its 2.8xxxlalasomethingsomething

BC needs to be version 2.2.11, the current version (for 1.1) is 2.2.12.

Renaming my BTWConfig.txt file to BTBConfig.txt didn't do anything.
Also, you keep using the word 'the' like these files actually exist. I posit that neither file actually exists anywhere in either documentation or physical form and you are all just putting me on.
Are they saved somewhere weird? Can they be downloaded from a link? Are they here or there? Because in my installation no such file was generated, and in fact the only references to it I can find are in the BTW changelog and in the page on the BTW wiki that ostensibly describes how to disable it.
Really though, I give up. I'm going to use MC Edit to provide myself a mountain of obsidian and drag my build out of the epic stall this problem has put me in. I guess I can replace the lava lake, since it's pretty clear that there is nothing useful that can be done with lava.
I recognize the phenomenal amount of work that went into both of these mods individually as well as the work done to integrate the two. My complaint is the complaint of the man who has nine hundred and ninety nine pieces of a thousand piece puzzle.

The "weird" place they are stored is the .zip download file for the mod.

????
Now you're confusing me... re-download the BTB mod on the first page, there should be 2 folders and 2 .txt files in the zip. The first .txt file is BTBConfig, I just re-downloaded to confirm it was there. Copy that file, put it in your .minecraft folder, open it, change the HCB settings. Mission accomplished.
Sounds like you might have the Forge installed. It's not compatible with this mod.
Nope, no forge installed. I couldn't install the Forestry mod because it requires forge. I found if I placed only one fence at a time (rather than holding down the mouse button and dragging, the game doesn't crash. I bit slower, but worthwhile to avoid the crash.
This is odd. I can still use the old cauldron recipe, though once placed in the world it had no inventory to open. I can not make the stew pot though. I remember a long time ago there were issues with the hardcore bucket being used in recipes. I don't know of a solution though. How is anyone else getting anywhere without the stew pot?
Nevermind. Got annoyed, did a complete reinstall, problem went away.

Hmmm... when did you install Millenaire? Before or after BTW and BTB? I know there were some issues with it if installed before BTW as of a few updates back.
But it will all work with MC 1.1 right? Might wait until everything gets updated. Update Update Update. It never ends haha
No... If you read what FC stated above, the current version of BTB is for Minecraft 1.0, and you will need the correct versions of all other mods compatible with 1.0. BTW must be 3.49, BC must be 2.2.11, as stated before, and BTB must be 1.10, also make sure you have the 1.0 versions of Modloader and ModloaderMP.
EDIT: There is something on my mind that I might as well add here, if I may. Would it be acceptable to open the table (pun partially intended) to discussion regarding the currently hypothetical automatic anvil? If such a device were to exist, it would, of course, function much like the automatic crafting table. I've been speculating on such a thing, and am led to a few conclusions, but I won't say too much on the matter, in case FC does already have plans for this, and doesn't want the surprise spoiled.

Nah man, I've already stated publicly that I'll be working on the auto-Anvil in the near future
I have a big project I want to work on this weekend for BTW, but I'll likely get to it sometime next week.
The anticipation for this big project made me have to go change my pants.
Thanks a lot FC...
Oh yes, I'm inclined to do so as well. When FC adds this or that small detail, all of the things we know about MC get turned upside-down, I always love it when he adds anything he deems a big change.

I had expected as much, so I will keep my speculation private, and wait patiently to see just how close the reality is to what I have in mind.
In any case, I, like everyone else, am rather excited to see what this "big project" turns out to be. I saw you mention this elsewhere, and my mind won't sit still for trying to guess what it could be. Any hints? On second though, no, no hints, that will only make it worse.

Bah, you probably needed a change of shorts anyways :smile.gif:
Well... yeah... but.... um... that's beside the point.
