Well... I guess I cheated... the pump was originally powered by something else...
You beat me to the punch I was going to do that When I got up ( now ) ow well Nice design only improvement I was adding is the water would be running back into the same Pond it came from Making a completely close loop system.
if I place water out of a bucket then it dont place...
but my bucket is empty
I hope FC hasn't wandered off or gone for a sleep, I think he said he was waiting for the first of those. Though it did take a surprisingly long time, and was quite calm.
Also Ribky may have beaten me to the punch, but seeing as Thermodynamics is able to take a hit fairly well here's my contribution to the Abominations Against Science and Engineering category.
The massive excess is being used to feed the waterflows in an oversized experimental cow farm, I added the wall in an attempt to try and screen most of the unsightly tangle of pipes involved.
Hehe...glad you like it man. I'm just going to sit here, continue playing BTB, and wait for the inevitable "Why do buckets no work!!!!" posts :wink.gif:
EDIT: BTW, the OP should now be fully updated for the new version.
Why buckets no work.... lol jk
so much <3 -nohomo
I can never get enough out of this, I will never be able to play minecraft without HCB lol
I have yet to test this in the latest release, but I found what I assume to be a bug- pipes will only deposit items into the top slot of a mill. This is easily rectified by pumping things into a powered hopper first, and placing the mill under it, but it's still a bit annoying.
On a related note, I recall a problem I had when using BTW and BC in forge where a pipe hooked up to pump items OUT of a hopper would suck out the hopper's filter first if there was one. I don't know if this has been fixed, if anyone would like to confirm. I have to get to class!

The second one I knew about and is on my todo list (that will likely be changed in BTW rather than BTB). I didn't know about the first though, so thanks for the report. I'll look into that one as well :smile.gif:

I'm still not convinced it was real either. Given it was the guy's first post on the account, may have just been a troll based on what I said earlier :smile.gif:
New mod, same tradition, a certain Walker decided it was a good idea to rest his tired eyes while FC puts out a major release. I CANNOT wait to play with this! I cannot thank you enough for this one FC!
Lol! Thanks man! Hope you have a lot of fun with it :smile.gif:
I wonder how adding friction to BTW would affect creations (maybe only allow a system to have a certain number of gearboxes, and multiple axles to one gearbox counts as extra gearboxes being used)?
on one hand, it would be a bit more realistic (ignoring the "enslaving souls for fun and profit" thing) and would add an emphasis on efficient design, but on the other, it'd be an absolute ballache to power anything large...
Nah man, I decided initially that the mechanical system would follow the zero-loss convention established by the redstone system already in the game.
Future systems I add to BTW may not be loss-less, but the current mechanical system will definitely remain that way.
Hello I am currently running MC 1.0 with BTB 1.03 BTW 3.48 and Buildcraft 2.2.11 (I also have NEI but I added it after this bug) I was setting up a pump in the nether and had a steam engine to power it, but it was in shallow lava so i wanted to fuel it with a short fuel and I ran back to my portal. When i entered the nether portal My minecraft instantly crashed and when I relogged I was back at the original spawn despite the fact I slept in my bed and did not touch it, and my items were not in the nether or in regular world. I can not give a modloader text because I ran it several more times to deal with a bug in NEI (and it crashed each time I replicated the bug with NEI) I have not tried to replicate this bug.
Oh I will, and have. Just some F*ing around, but still, such an interesting mechanic to work with.
Yeah, I agree, hence why I finally made HCB the default
I find it makes the thought process that occurs during play much more interesting than what you get with vanilla water-mechanics. Given that BTB is such a hugely technical mod, I'm hoping that others who play it will agree.

I might have beat you to the punch, but yours is way prettier.
After a hour in Paint.NET i made some faithful32 textures for BTB.
I only did 3 textures (The top, and floodgates), the rest are copied from the BTW and terrain.png (from Faithful32 of course.) The floodgates feel a bit small, but they'll do.
EDIT: Ooops i failed...by forgeetting to include the texture file itself...
^ Save that as 'btbterrain01.png' and dump it in '/btbmodtex/(dumpfilehere)' in the faithful32.zip
Playing since Beta 1.3_01. Yeah. I like BTW. Or used to. Still do. Stuff Technic. (Back in the day...)

Makes it really hard to setup any kind of test world with this matter, but I'll check with spacetoad and see if there's anything that I'm missing.

Water? In MY Nether?
How did I do it? The items in my Hotkeys are a clue.
