Wow! The re-write was certainly worth the wait. Out of all the mods I use, yours is truly the first one I've ever seen using the coremods folder. I love it! Thank-you for that. : ) How easy is that! : ) Just a jar file. Awesome. : ) I like the number of items selector at the very bottom right of the column. Very handy.
I never said anything, ok?
And some people uses Optifine, there is an update to make work with the new version of Forge
Oh, for that error - I had to do a force update on my minecraft. Ran minecraft, exited. Then I put all my mods back in, (rebuilt the jar). It got rid of that error message and all works fine for me. : ) I find the new update for optifine that came out a week or two ago quite good. : )
I want to thank you for updating this mod. My grandson and I have gotten hooked on this game over the summer and I never realized how much we were using the NEI til it was gone! I now know not to update the game til our favorite mods are updated. You sir, deserve
I do echo some users requests to make it compatible with ModLoader. I had the worst time finding, selecting and installing the FML,(I am such a noob) but finally got it and NEI working. I am very happy and grateful for your (and collaborators) efforts.
Oh, I can relate to that! My grandson really missed NEI. He was driving me crazy! Oh, and I finally had to cave in and buy him his own minecraft account since 1.3.1 came out and we could all play on the lan. But, it was a major Pain in the Neck having to look up id's to give him the stuff he felt necessary to his game, (he's three years old, and almost anything colorful was necessary...one day it was sponge blocks - two weeks ago it was shears for gathering wool, this week it is a golden sword and green armour, (diamond)...ugh!) And, now he can fly again. Whew!
I think that once you get used to forge you'll appreciate the simplicity of adding mods that makes things so much easier, along with MultiMc for adding mods to the minecraft jar, mods folder or coremods folder. That way I can have multiple versions of MineCraft on each computer, and he knows exactly which instance, version of minecraft is his with his "needed mods," such as Lion King, and clay soldiers, (I can keep a 1.2.5 version of minecraft there for all his older mods, especially the ones with horses.)
this is a jar file, how do i download it using multimc?
I had to update to MultiMC 4. something. It has the coremod folder!!! Just drag and drop Chicken Bone's jars into it. Nice. Multimc's built in updater didn't work in updating it to 4.0. I had to manually download it, and I simply replaced the old multimc.exe with the newer one. Simple. The only thing it doesn't have is the resorces tab. But, you can easily view the folder and drag and drop what you need into the needed resource area.
hile Minecraft Forge is not required if it isn't installed you won't be able to see mobs in mobspawner items.
The process for installing NEI has changed. (For the easier AGAIN!).
Install FML OR MinecraftForge into the jar. Install CodeChickenCore into the coremods folder. Install NEI into the coremods folder
i DON'T UNDERSTAND where is the core mods folder i heard you use forge that make this a forge mod and
i fu**cking hate forge
If you go into windows exporer, if you use windows, or something similar for another OS, and take a peek into the .minecraft folder, you'll see the coremods folder. THAT's where you put the jar files. Simple. And, you don't need forge unless you want to see the mob spawners. And you can't use mob spawners during regular game play, they only can be placed while in creative mode.
It's updated! It works! IT WORKS!!!!!!! *Evil laughter*
In .minecraft/coremods once Forge is installed.
Ok thank you. I just had no idea. So this means that NEI now HAS to have Forge? And the place where I can get Forge where is that at. Cause the people for forge bring you to a website and I don't know where to download it. :/
Just got 1.3.2 NEI. Haven't tested it yet beyond checking a few recipes, but I'll be using it as standard (as I just began MineCraft a week ago, haven't gotten my head around all the recipes).
So does this mod HAVE to have Forge to work? Cause it says in the OP that it's only for the mobs in the mob spawners, but how else do I install the files because they are .jar files and I don't know how to install them any different then with Forge. But one of my mods that I can't live without is incompatible with Forge and if I don't have to use Forge for this please let me know! I need help! And if so, how do I install the files without Forge??? Help! D:
Ya know... I used to be able to play this mod, and then forge came up with this new fangled do-dad thingy mabob. Oh how I long for the days when all you needed was FREAKING MODLOADER!!!! THEY SAID IT WOULD WORK WITH ALL MODLOADER MODS!!!! IT DOESN'T DOES NOT!!!! Back to recipe book, Spawner GUI, and freaking TMI.... Thanks forge... Thank you and go die in a hole. However on a brighter note, when I was able to play this it was amazing.

If he chooses to only stick to forge, I'd make a ModLoader fork myself. Just don't tell us that you don't *need* Forge when you clearly DO.
I probably won't get any permission to distribute it, but I'd only use it for my own personal use so whatever :P.

Any help?
You can google for it and find it pretty easily. But this link is what you're looking for.
I need it for 1.2.5
Once Forge is installed it'll create the coremods folder in .minecraft
Thanks man!

Google "FML minecraft" and click the first result.
If you want to go with TMI, your loss.
If you hate forge you are stupid.
The above is an example to anyone else with similar queries, I'm not going to waste my time replying to all of you.
