Sweet. Any idea on when we can expect said update?
Look in the main thread, there is a spoiler that says like "what's coming so far in v1.2" or something. Also, just so you know, Mythril only came in with update v1.1 =P copper silver and onyx were the original 3 :tongue.gif: but yeah, I should have balanced it out when I updated it to v1.1. But at least I have something to do for v1.2 haha joking, I have tonnes to do :tongue.gif:

Yeah that's how I usually play survival, only with my mod and Rei's Minimap. Well, if you get permission from the other modders to make the mod pack, then sure, you officially have my permission to use this in your pack. However, I obviously want a link to this thread in the thread you create for your mod pack =P
Another thing, I don't want my mod downloadable from anywhere other than the Minecraft Forum. If you have a problem with this you PM me about it and we can discuss it.

Haha, well, to give you even more to do, here's a thought; make the mod partially compatible/add-to DrZhark's Mo'Creatures by changing the configuration of silver weapons so that they do more harm to Mo' Creatures werewolves, similar to how DrZhark currently has gold weapons more effective against them.

Guys, v1.2 will be coming the day after tomorrow hopefully. That's Australia time. If you are interested in what will be in the update, here it is:
A new ore, Adamantium. It will most likely be the final ore added. It's green and has a complete tool set and armour set of course.
A config, using MLProp, which is built into ModLoader. You will be able to change the ID of all blocks and items, using mod_SimpleOres.cfg which will be generated in your %appdata%/.minecraft/config folder. You can open it with any text editor, it shouldn't be too difficult to understand. But remember that in game ID's are 256 greater than those shown in the config file. This is just a ModLoader thing.
Special armour effects!
So far, wearing full Mythril armour will increase your step height to one full block, meaning you can walk up to blocks and step up them, like you would if they were a wooden slab or something similar.
Wearing full Adamantium armour negates all fall damage, meaning you can fall from any height and not take a single scratch!
Wearing full Onyx armour renders you immune to fire damage. This includes lava, however I am pretty sure it still damages the armour. Still working on that.
A ModLoaderMP version. I think that, for ease of use, I will keep a client copy up that only uses ModLoader, and another client version that uses both ModLoader and ModLoaderMP, as well as a server version. Depending on how testing of the server version goes, it may or may not be in this update, or the update may be delayed because of it. Sorry guys.
Just a note about the Disassembler/Reassembler blocks. Because of difficulties with GUI's (god I hate them -.-), these blocks will unfortunately not be in the update, unless I get the server version working flawlessly a lot quicker than intended. If that is the case, I'm sure these special blocks will be riddled with bugs and whatnot, so I apologise before hand. I really want to get those blocks done, because it will be a valuable lesson in GUI's for me. My god they are a pain though :/

Other than to implement the Disassembler/Reassembler blocks (if I don't get them done for this update) or to fix any bugs that may arise with them (if I do get them done for this update) and to update the mod to the latest version of Minecraft, it will probably be the last major update the mod will get.
On a side note, I have re coded my old mod (it was for beta 1.6.6) which was called DownLights, and updated it for 1.0.0. It is still missing a few things, and I need to finish textures, etc. but I will most likely upload it when I upload v1.2 of SimpleOres. If you would like some info on the DownLights mod, you can click HERE but remember that that thread is outdated and I pretty much stripped everything from the mod to make it easier, simpler, and better.
If anyone has any suggestions for future mods they would like me to make/attempt to make, make sure to let me know :smile.gif: All ideas are welcome as long as they are reasonably sensible and make sense in Minecraft. For example, please dont suggest that I make a porkchop sword. I saw that on another thread and just WHY would anyone want a sword made from PORKCHOPS.

Reporting Bug - Onyx Shovel when used on dirt has very slow speed, about the speed of a wooden shovel. Not sure if it's a bug but it's noted in my video.

Mythril is dark blue and Adamantium is green... RuneScape referance much? Hell, why don't you just rename Diamond to Rune, reskin Onyx, and call it Dragon?

This mineral would appear in the Nether, but be much more common than Onyx. It would have a durability of between Iron and Silver, and average enchantability. Nothing too special, just a more common Nether ore.

Perhaps you could talk to Balkonalphadeur about Balkon's Weaponmod support? The only ore mod that supports Balkon's Weaponmod is that crappy metallurgy mod, and adding Weaponmod support to yours would be a great way to get tons of downloads.Also, you may want to consider a rename. If you add special effects to the armour sets, it's no longer so "simple", is it?

Yeah I think I will remove the special armour effects. Also, I wanted adamantium to be red, but then it would be too difficult to distinguish the ore from redstone ore blocks, no? I do have reasons for making them the colours I did :tongue.gif:
this is a great idea for a mod i meen minecraft needs just more nothing like special things more simple mods like this i have a few mods myself and theyre all amazing like this 1 so ima get itt great work on this great idea i love it :biggrin.gif:

You and those like you do nothing but clutter the mods section making it harder to find REAL mods like buildcraft, IC2, Forestry, Better Dungeons, etc..
fifteen minutes here and 30 minutes doing a palette swap on existing textures does not make you special.

I updated it to version 1.2, unfortunately the forum editor is being a pain in the ass, I can't seem to fix it. It moves some of the text to the centre when I want it on the left, it removes blank lines and is generally just being an ass. I will have to come back and look at it in a bit, but at least the download link works :tongue.gif: ( I hope)
