Block ID 500 is already being used by another mod. Try changing it in either the SimpleOres config or the other mod's config. (Looks like MrCrayfish's Furniture mod, as BlockOvenOverhead and the SimpleOres BlockMythrilFurnace are using the same ID)
Okay guys, I have been working a bit on getting a website for SimpleOres up. Eventually, Netherrocks will be on there too, but for now, it's just SimpleOres. It's still a ways off being 100% complete, but I would appreciate it if you guys would check it out and let me know what you think
According to Google translate, they said "Wow pretty! ! !"

Hey, could you make a version for this but with Modloader? I love this mod heaps, but some of my other mods aren't compatible with forge.
Trust me. I have made mods that do the same thing as yours but with Modloader, and it is quite easy.
I have the 1.5.1_1 zip file in my mods folder, but when I click the "Mods" button in the Main Menu it says that the mod is in the 1.4.7.1 version. Is this normal or do I updated it wrong? I just need to drag and drop the new file in my mods folder to update right?
Don't worry. It is completely normal. That is what it looks like for me too, but it works fine.
I did, it looks really good! The Silver ore page doesn't work though. Any chance the HD packs for the mods will be finished this weekend? Not to hurry you, just asking!
Bows aren't finished yet! As such they have no textures! They are not implemented, or intended to be used.Gah. I wish people would read up a few posts.

You of all people should know that. Every time a Minecraft update comes, it's peoples' instinct to repeatiedly ask "Are updating," "please update now," or something of the like, even when you give an answer on the first post or even a posts up. Except in this case, they're wondering why the bows aren't working and stuffs.
Anyhow, I love the crafting recipes. That Onyx bow looks expensive. Not only do you need onyx rods, but you need a diamond to and Mythril using Silver as the centerpiece? Awesome. That will be a bow fit for a SilverJ. I'd imagine the bows will take after the centerpiece traits to. (the middle part of the bows will look like the centerpiece material in the crafting grid)
Wait.. so are the rods going to require two of each material for each rod or will the recipe be made to make two rods instead of one? If the earlier's the case, that's four onyx, one diamond, three string, and a flint n steel for the Onyx Bow, pricely, but probably worth it.
"I don't plan to add a new dimension at the moment. It's just to performance heavy on servers, and the current dimensions need more attention before we start adding new ones." < Yeah, like biomes or actual varied terrain in the nether. Nether ruins didn't do the trick at all.

Not sure on the rods yet, still trying to work that out balance wise, like you say. 4 Onyx seems like a lot, but if you have a Fortune pickaxe, you can get up to 3 onyx gems from 1 ore, so I'm still not sure where the sweet spot is.
The other issue I'm having with bows is the zoom. I can get them to stretch, change texture, etc. but not zoom. I'll have to look more into it. This was a big reason why I didn't rush to get them out for the 1.5 update.
Sigh, I really should have known better than to get excited that the modding API would be in 1.5. It looks like it probably won't even be in 1.6. Starting to give up hope that we will get it at all. Maybe in Minecraft 2.0 hahahah
Okay guys, remember how ages ago I tried to make a localisation file, so you could change the language of the mod's item names, etc.? Well I think I might have finally worked it out. Basically, it's like a secondary config file, called SimpleOresLocalisation.loc, and it will have the names for all the blocks, items, etc. on it, and you can change them within that file, just like changing a blocks ID. Whole files will also be distributable
I'm not sure if it will support other characters though, such as Chinese characters. I imagine it will, but someone else will have to test it for me
I have finished the localisation stuff, so now the names of all items and blocks are easily configurable with a file similar to the config file.
I spent some time on bows this afternoon (and by some time, I really mean the last 6 or so hours), and they are DONE! Like completely done. They draw back properly, and they even zoom now. I did have to remove the copper and adamantium bows, simply because I felt they weren't really unique enough.
Here's my list of bow-stuff:
Bows
Silver Bow:
-Effect: Much higher enchantability (10x), high knockback (punch enchantment)
-Made from: Silver rods, iron ingot.
Mythril Bow:
-Effect: 50% chance to not consume an arrow. Higher damage (power enchantment)
-Made from: Mythril rods, silver ingot.
Onyx Bow:
-Effect: Fire arrows. Higher damage (power enchantment)
-Made from: Onyx rods, flint & steel, diamond
These bows will have the enchantments when you craft them. Obviously I will provide crafting recipes, etc. when the update comes.
Some smaller changes that will be in the next version:
- Furnaces now have the "Furnace" title in the GUI.
- Onyx Ore is smelt-able again.
- Fixed the rod textures, so they don't have the strangely darker bit in one of the corners.
- Updated the MCMod.info file at last
Still to do (not necessarily for the next version though):
- Fix achievements
- Add new achievements for the new furnaces and bows.
- Fix dungeon loot.
- Allow mobs to randomly drop SimpleOres items as well as vanilla items.
- Potions, eventually. This is more of a long term goal, and is on the bottom of the list, since it is such a huge feature.
Not sure when the next update containing those things that I have finished will be. Expect it in the coming weeks anyway.
Thanks all, let me know if you have any issues with the whole concept of the bows (I'm mostly looking at you SilverJ-17 )
EDIT: Oh and just as a heads up, I intend to change the whole download section over to the SimpleOres website sometime in the near future also. It will probably come with the next update.
I would assume you got the zoom to work via my conversation with SanAndreasP?
I've been doing ALOT of work on my bows too so if you need any help don't be afraid to ask.
Ooops
Here's the link: alexlongbottom.wix.com/simpleores
Yes, it's just a free Wix, but if it ends up alright I'll get a proper domain for it etc.
Thanks all
It's still up for me. I think Mediafire has been a bit dodgy. Just click the "Old Versions" link in the meantime.

Steel isn't mined though... it is made using iron and some other thing...

And orange_ghast, I won't be making a ModLoader version sorry.

It looks very cool
And btw, will the bows be implemented anytime soon?
