Sure have (where do you think I got the "click X to interact" idea from for battlecraft?), infact some of the other things I want to add to this are:
Quivers (So arrows no longer have to take up your inventory)
Sword Sheaths on your Player Model when holding a sword (Sheathed sword when not)
Duel Wielding (using a short sword when holding a regular sword)
Some of the above have been inspired from skyrim, others from suggestions/requests on this forum.
Also along with the above changes I will probably change the name to something like "Nerd-boy's Combat Items" (but with a better ring to it). I will of course fully integrate all these features in battlecraft.

I am not sure how well greatswords would go with the whole swinging animation. Besides I am not sure how I would go about making a weapon in the right hand bigger then a sword, and we know what happens when I mess with the renderers too much (i.e. 1st release of this)
Hey Nerd-boy the download link for beta 3 is some how broken (For me..)
Bloody Hell, looks like mediafire is doing maintenance this hour, right when I wanted to get final feedback before releasing this to the "real" mod section
EDIT: Its now back up, download to your hearts content (although I will release the main version soon)
The only changes from beta 3 (which only 12 got a chance to download) is me fixing the shift-clicking bug.
Hopefully everyone enjoys this. However I will be away for a couple of days and may not have internet access. So hopefully there are no game breaking bugs (there shouldn't be)

The beta 3 was amazing! But can you make the option to make it so like you can make it be able to block by pressing R or just left click it?

See part of the reason for the right click block was so it doesn't unbalance the game when used in conjunction with potions, bows and other mods that add weapons with other features (like Balkon's WeaponMod)

See the thing is I have no idea ahead of time if the item is suppose to have a right click action unless it states it in its getItemUseAction() method (and that is only none, block, eat drink, block or bow). So for example I don't know if a tool has another function on right click (eg a hoe) so the easiest thing is to disallow the use. Besides holding a shield and a piece of dirt would look quite silly.
The only alternative is to manually check through item/block ids (which i would rather not do).
What weapon mod are you using? If it is Balkon's WeaponMod, then shielding works correctly with weapons that normally block (eg his battleaxe).

Is shield bashing going to come? Maybe if you have nothing in your hand when you right-click, you rush forward a little and maybe a couple of aesthetic particles in there.

Will the compatibility issue with smart moving be fixed later on? i really like this mod but I would love to be able to have the shields looking normal in 3rd person. It never stays in one place, it just rotates around the body when I move, and then when i look up in 3rd person, it turns the screen black.
For now, I'm going to have to live without the mod.

The shield. I meant that when a fall of a block looking down it does stutter, and the right clicking for the shield to block make the sword stutter, man it's annoying.
I mean make it so that you can have the option to make it be able to change controls like, be able to change it to pressing button 2 or pressing R.
The point is using right click so if you weren't able to block with an item before, you'd end up doing whatever right click would have done. So if you were holding a sword, right click would have blocked, so shield blocks. If you were holding food, you'd be eating, and not block (as intended), and if you were holding potion, you'd throw it and not block, etc etc.
If he was to change it to 2 or R then he'd have to manually check whether or not you were supposed to block or not, and that is a lot of items (and think of mods).
I don't know if it relies on being bound to whichever key that uses the "Use Key" button (so that if a player changes the Use Key to something else it'd stay with that), but that would be the only improvement, then you could just change your use key to whatever you want. I still prefer right click.

It still shows that you are holding the shield in the left hand even though you aren't...
Probably a fix for the next update?
