Im sorry to announce that due to the complete rewrite of mob code and the large amount of missing variable names in MCP, there may be a long wait fo the new update. There is however a small chance I may release beta versions containing some features for public testing. Again I am sorry for those who are waiting for the update. This message will be reposted on the mainpage.

Yeah, I saw them talking about fiddling with new mob AI and was like "well I know one mod that's going to completely break..."
I want to say that this mod is simply amazing. I recorded a Let's Play of it with my friend to post it on Youtube (altough it's in French) and we had a blast! On the first night, we already had Blazes after us so we didn't have time to build a base. We had to dig straight down to not get obliterated (could have gone badly if there was caves... ._.)! Thanks for making this mod
Thanks for the great feedback :D. Im still working on updating it but Im glad there are still people enjoying it.
Could you post the link to the lets play vid so I could view it please, and if you like and have permission to say so, I could repost the vid on the front page for others to view it.
Sure ! It would be awesome to have it on the front page as well, even if I don't think many people will understand it since it's Quebec French... but oh well Here is the first part of the series (Will be 2 or 3 parts when it will be all uploaded):
This maybe a big request, don't know how hard this would be to implement...but I ALWAYS have been bothered with minecraft's lack of difficulty scaling (problem being the game gets way easier and easier over time, which causes me to always start a fresh map earlier than I originally imagined.... which MAKES little sense for a game with infinite sized worlds). This modder had remedied this a bit via player's current score which was a great idea I think http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/835719-100combat-revitalized-v110/page__hl__combat
Anyway's would you have any idea or plans of maybe adding something like this to your mod, who knows...maybe the creator of "combat ++" could give info how he has done it" (or heck, if he's done updating his mod, it would be great if it could be merged with this!)
That is a nice idea and I would like to implement somthing that scales the difficulty over time. I was thinking and maybe the higher your xp level the higher the rate of spawning therefore more kills causes more enemies to spawn and if you die the rate resets making the risk for higher enchantments very dangerous. I will also look into combat ++ to see how thats been done. This will be included in the 2.0 versions as the current on is stable and I am already working on the 1.2.3 compatible version.
EDIT: Had a look at combat++ and I think I will stick with the xp level affecting the spawnrate. Im also considering changing the required levels for enchantments to some resonable values instead of the impossible default ones so that poeple dont get too fustrated with dieing so many times with this mod and loosing 100's of kills worth of xp.
Hi,
I have started playing Minecraft again and gave your mod a new try.
Client 2.7 with 64 awareness radius works without lagging for me.
Thanks for the mod !
For those who don't know, Beta 3 was released along with and upcoming list of additions incuding the voted in features. The ingame will change over the next few versions to make space for more new options. Beta 3 has working beds! enjoy it while it lasts.
The poll has been close so that preferences dont change mid development and the results will be posted on the main page till full v3.0 is out
NOTE: Warning to those using the new beta 3 version. Due to the shear amount of new paths being generated it is recommended you avoid using the 127 awareness setting especially when the player is in mid air. It is also recommended you have the awareness setting on 16 while generating new maps.
I did warn people to avoid using it. Im not sure whats causing the lag but im sure as hell not going back to releasing version after version trying to fix it like i did before. Just turn it down to 96 and Ill look into it at a later date
First off, I love this mod and I'm really looking forward to using it on my server. However, I do not want to have Blazes on the server... or napalm... (at least, I'd like the option to remove them). In single player, you are able to disable these features with the GUI, and even scale the awareness radius. But what I want to know is how I can change these options for a server.
I've tried changing them on my single player (hoping they would carry over into the server since I'm the host), and I've tried adding a line or two into the properties file in hopes of changing it. But nothing has worked yet. So, is there a way that I can disable these things on my server? If not, could you tell me which class files to leave out for both client and server (just the ones about the blazes and napalm... I've got a lot of wooden structures.)?
The options should appear in the server properties file after it has been run for the first time. If not then I will have to run some tests to see what is wrong. Could you also specify which version you are using?
As Elvith has said, I am having connection issues and cant do much for the mod for about a month. I would like to mention this now as I do not want requests for updates when I simply cant upload them. I will announce when I am back.
Yes I will be updating it but I cannot hold a connection long enough to get the new MCP. Also, with the new snapshots coming out at the moment it may be better to wait for the next full version rather than rushing to create one version then having to do another soon after.
I am also considering delaying the new features to save time in the next version and to keep majority of people happy. I will put up a new poll to see how people will react to this suggestion.
@funwayguy: Still having net issues mate? Can't wait to see this updated, used it on my 1.1 server and have been in love with it ever since, I cannot for the life of me get it working with 1.25 though.
The mod hasn't been updated to 1.2.5 yet. I know people want this version out now but I am still trying to sort out my internet. I've been disconnected for over a month now and I am just as fustrated as you. When I do get a connection though I will quickly release a 1.2.5 version of the Beta v3.0 for people to use before getting straight to work on the new features and the upcoming 1.3 update. Again I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
PS: I am using my phone's limited connectivity to post this and does not mean I have a stable internet connection. If this goes on much longer I will have to attempt to upload the version through my phone and risk blowing my limit.
