I can't seem to be able to build the Arcane Tinkering Tools or the fabric. Not sure why. Even the thaumic crucible isn't a "shapeless" recipe, it requires that the crystallized thaum be in the middle with a bowl directly above and below it. What could be the problem?
Either you have other mods with conflicting item IDs, or you downloaded the mod via the "installation guide" section, which is outdated. (That's what I did.)

Noone knows how to get MCpatcher to work with the mod? what order to apply the patch and mod.
When I add the MCpatcher on a fresh minecraft, and then add the various mod installments, I get a blackscreen.
When I add the MCpatcher afterwards, after the mods and modloader whatever have been installed, it overwrites the mod, giving me vanilla MC (atleast it seemes that way).
*edit* It does work without using the MCpatcher, but then my texctures wont work properly.
I'm still trying to figure out why some random things are missing from Thaumcraft. Arcane tools and fabric, for example, do not exist for me in the game.
I'm using ID Resolver to make it work with other mods, but I have plenty of block IDs free. Where are arcane tools, fabric, stabilized singularity, and portable hole? Can I just add them in?

You are probably still on an earlier version of Thaumcraft. They were added in version 1.0.2
Hi been playing this mod for a few days love it btw but noticed that the iron symbol uses way to much thaum sometimes just constantly drains it seems to work fine if i use a bc pipe to scoop the items up but get buggy when using diamond rune.
oh is the any way you can change the way runes work ie iron rune 1 infusion gold can hold 2 daimond 3 use items to infuse them ie restone etc etc because some times it would really be good for symbol to have more than 1 rune ie fire symbol would be good to use range and restone rune.
thx for the great mod love it.
The iron rune will keep pulling items towards it, so unless you have a diamond rune to scoop things up, or pick them up yourself you will lose lots of thaum. I've fixed the bug with the diamond rune btw (that was the change for v1.0.3), or have you found a new bug?
As for multiple runes...
It was a tough balancing decision I had to made. Originally the symbols could take up to four runes, but you could get really overpowered combos that way.
I may allow certain "combo" runes in the future, but there will probably be a heavy cost involved. I will have to see.
It seemes that when one Node is powering a rune, and it gets empty, a nearby full second Node wont take over the job, so the rune stops working.
Also, it seemes that if you have two nodes on the same circuit, like this:
Where the glass is the tubes, and diamond is the nodes, only the first node will fill up, and nothing will pass through the second node and to the recieving component, say, duplicator.
Other than that, Im having a blast :biggrin.gif: great job :-)

I noticed that myself, but Ive found, if you offset the nodes from the glass pipes, the Thaum keeps going and fills each node in turn.

The first one is a bug - i found it a few days ago and fixed it on my development version.
The second one is working as intended - sort-of. Nodes aren't conduits and they have different rules as to how they draw thaum from conduits. Trying to use them as a pipe is not the best of ideas.
So I'm also using Metallurgy, and I'm trying to add its ores and such to the Thaum.cfg so the Crucible can break them down, but I can't seem to do it right.
Those are the item names, from Shadow, but after adding ItmCopperBar according to your example (I set it at 2 since it's SO common) it still gets spit back out at me with zero thaum gain. Any idea how to fix?
Can you make some way to make a thaum to emc(from equivalent exchange) or vice versa convertor?
again:
make mobius fuel in an energy collector (this is practically infinite by itself, just use your philosopher's stone to break 16 MF back down into redstone and put that back into the collector every time)
3 mobius fuel will fill a crucible to capacity
use that thaum for duplicating
Seriously, it works. 1 MF is worth 1536 EMC, yeah? So, if you take a full stack (and put 16 back into the collector) you're using 48 (x1536EMC) into your Crucible
now, when you dump 3 in, you'll see a little loss due to overflow, so we'll call it 1400EMC for each MF, and assume 4200EMC = 500 Thaum
you have 16x500 Thaum from 48 Mobius Fuel
and if the Nodes still only store 100 Thaum, you're going to need a big complex just to store the Thaum from one stack of MF.

There is now real need. Just drop items made in EE into the crucible for thaum. Its not like Buildcraft or IC where there is no easy way to use the power from one mod in the other.
Something needs to be fixed. I heard you yourself don't like the nothing-to-thaum idea, so I'm not worried :tongue.gif: , just addressing the issue.
Surrounding an obelisk with 8 condenser, connecting them together into one output yields almost infinite thaum (Actually quite fast, too). With the source connected to a duplicator, it is DISASTER :sad.gif: (Ok I admit it, I duplicated like 50 diamonds without any effort)
The names according to the tooltips? I tried THOSE first, and they didn't work either. That's when I went to Shadow's topic to ask, and that answer was above.
EDIT: Didn't work for me, I should say. Ah, doesn't matter in the end, I'm about to go back to 1.1.2 anyway.
DON'T CHANGE THE NAME!!!! It's not copy right infringement, it's more like tribute to one of the greatest authors ever. Who cares if people can't pronounce it? This gives them the opportunity to learn proper pronunciation, so let 'em whine if they can't figure it out, 'cause it's never too late to go back over elementary school lessons about what noises letters make when put together.
Is that possible? Not planning on trying that though :tongue.gif:
Unstable Singularity: Oh, nice mob trap.
Stable Singularity: Gf Dispenser(And your house)

=(
I had a look, but unfortunately it can't be done without modifying base classes. The deployer from RP2 should be able to do it however.
Here's my thaumcraft config file:
