Thanks doattoad, you got me thinking and I spent a while trying to troubleshoot the issue further. It appears that the command runs fine (either @dp, @p or an actually name) if I run the command but nothing occurs when the npc tries to executes it. I now suspect it's the server not allowing the npc permission to run the command despite the NpcUseOpCommands= being set to 'true'
...still no idea what to do about it but at least I know it's not the mods issue. I'll try to seek help elsewhere, thanks

Do you mean the ones named DokucraftCustomNPCs[version].zip?
They appear to be meant to be placed in the texturepacks folder, but Noppes has given us the very useful "customnpcs" folder in .minecraft.
Now, you only have to copy the "assets" folder from the .zip into .minecraft/customnpcs (An assets folder may already be there, so just let it merge/overwrite/whatever it asks you to do.)
This customnpcs folder also lets you add skins easier than opening the .jar, too.
Drop any skins you want to add into .minecraft/customnpcs/assets/customnpcs/textures/entity, and you can create folders there if you plan on making categories of skins as well.
Will the flying update if added be for 1.7.10 as well as for 1.8? I am really hoping for it to be for both of these versions a server I'm working on kinda depends on it also being for 1.7.10

Seeing as 1.8 has had Noppes rewriting what appears to be everything, the chance of that happening is seemingly slim.
When i try to execute commands trough dialogs, it does absolutely nothing, it just closes, and not a single command is executed.
I tried typing them with or without ``/``, I used @dp but nothing changed. I`m completely sure i typed them correctly. Cheats are on.
I`m using 1.8 beta.
Please fix this or tell me if I am doing something the wrong way.

Since your using the beta, make sure you've got the latest one. From what you have described, your not doing anything wrong, it may be a bug (seeing as it is beta).
Do dialogs allow colored text within the dialog text? If so how? I tried using § but I cant get it in the dialog box so I'm guessing its not a recognized character.
§ hasn't been a recognised character for while sadly, no clue why Mojang too it out though.
Am I not supposed to be able to attack npcs or can I not attack npcs in creative mode?
NPC's need to be in a faction that is either neutral, or hostile towards a player for them to be able to damage them. You can create your own faction the "Global" tab, then select it in the "Advanced" tab under "factions", or you can use a pre-made one.

If you require aid with Custom NPC's give me a shout (In the thread, not PM's). I can read a bit of error reports, know most of the NPC workings (I'm attempting to work on scripting) and have been using it since its 1.0 version. Otherwise I'll help with any questions or problems I can.
Noppes - bug - when you place border blocks back to back to prevent some one from turning around once through a passage the player can run against them and can somehow skip over the border. Allowing a block between them seems to hold them back!
Other than that, your mod is awesome.

Although I can't find doc's on it it seems the kill command was different in 1.7.10 and you can't kill your self like in 1.8.
But still I am wondering if there is a player.despawin() method in the scripting?

The selector in the "/kill" appeared in 1.8
In 1.7.10 you can't use "/kill [pseudo]
I think you can't use player.despawn() because it would remove the player definitively.
Maybe you can use "player.addPotionEffect(7, 1, 10, true/false)" to remove the player's health

Trying to pass a players name as a StoredData variable. But in the following example the last line error out and returns

Player skins for NPCs don't work on servers in 1.7.10c. Does it work for anyone else?
I don't expect you to fix it for 1.7.10, but if you did, yeah, that'd be great....
Edit: It seems to work sometimes. I can't work out what makes in not work...
