So I just installed the latest version, and no keybindings for your mod work anymore. So I went and deleted the config first thing, still nothing, can't open the large map, make a waypoint, nothing. I'm using the exact forge version recommended, and the keybindings aren't overridden, their all grey not red. I changed the bindings to several other keys and still nothing. Not sure what else to try. Backporting to .4 for now.
Is it possible the key bindings are stored in the world save as well?
Actually, I do like it better. The automatic waypoints for deaths(and the beacon effect) won me over. I don't suppose there's a way to import my waypoints from Rei's? I noticed that Rei's waypoints show up on your map, which is awesome, so I have my fingers crossed that there is.

I looked in there now, nothing. It's happening with all editions, unlimited, fairplay etc. Going back to 4.0.4 fixed the issue.
EDIT: ok, heres the log, which I forgot to include in the help ticket. Loaded up my world, tried to open the minimap several times, then exited.
EDIT2: updated forge to 1217, was using 1208, removed java 7, installed java 8u20. Still no success at using keybindings for journeymap.

I don't know if it will make a difference, but I'm running Java 1.8.0_20 and Forge 10.13.1.1217 with no issues. If your version of Forge is the recommended version, your Java might be a factor. I've had world saves stop working when moving them from a computer with older Java to newer and then back again. I don't know enough to know why, but upgrading the Java fixed that problem. It might help with yours if the higher version of Journeymap was optimized for Java 1.8.
EDIT: If anyone with more experience fiddling with mods wants to chime in, I am by no means an expert.
New version, cool... unfortunately, there seems to be a new bug: The list of waypoints doesn't scroll! It shows a scrollbar, but neither mouse clicks nor arrow keys will lets me see the waypoints below the visible area.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.

I've had this bug reported but haven't narrowed down why yet. One person fixed it by not using a KVM anymore, which is odd. if you can figure out the cause or a workaround with GUI Scale, perhaps, let me know with a ticket: http://tinyurl.com/jmticket
In the meantime, I'm collaborating with some server plugin authors to provide a World ID in a custom packet. This will be an option for server owners when JourneyMap 5 is released.

Hmm, I'm not using a KVM switch, both my mouse and keyboard are USB right into the back of the computer.

I just had this problem happen to me to. Keybindings worked, someone logged in, and then keybindings didnt work for anyone on the server (Its SSP LAN).
I just noticed that after I updated to 4.0.5, all my waypoints were shifted one block south-west, and whenever I make a new waypoint, it's placed one block south-west of where I'm standing as well

4.0.5 has a bugfix where I have been using Java's rounding algorithm and needed to switch to Mojang's rounding algorithm for block position. In some cases (where a negative number had to be rounded), previously-created waypoints are off by one and may need to be edited; sorry for the inconvenience.
Also, in 4.0.5, the Y coordinate displayed in the minimap and used for new waypoint creation is now based on foot position rather than eye position.
If you use F3 and look at your current location in the debug text, the rounded coordinates (in parentheses) should exactly match the location of a newly-created waypoint.

That makes sense, and the rounded coordinates do match the new waypoint. I assume that the new waypoints are off because they're negative coordinates then?
Waypoint Manager wouldn’t open due to errors introduce by a Forge build after 1180
I'd never had this happen to me before until after I got the 4.0.5 Update. Now it no longer works in multiplayer. I can get the waypoint manager to work in single player but if I press the button in multiplayer it just closes the map. Any idea what could be causing this?

My guess would be you're not on 1208, which was the target for 4.0.5.
Please open a ticket and give me your .minecraft/journeyMap/journeymap.log file after the WM fails to open : http://tinyurl.com/jmticket
Hey techbrew, I noticed the minimap doesn't track some kinds of mobs like bats and some custom entities like those from CustomNPC mod (not sure if there are others, I know it does track mobs from other mods, which is great). Will there be a possibility to add support for those entities in the future?
I've just started using using Journeymap and have noticed that with the entity radar on my game often stutters quite a bit while moving around. I didn't have this issue before adding in Journeymap and it's not a ram or cpu issue from what I can tell. Any help would be great, thanks.

Some people have reported performance issues related to radar. Sorry for the inconvenience. JM 5 has a number of improvements to resolve that problem. Hopefully there will be a public beta within a couple of weeks.

EDIT: If anyone with more experience fiddling with mods wants to chime in, I am by no means an expert.
It's a really annoying issue that the map does not get deleted between worlds. Which means I have the servers previous 3 maps overlapping eachother.
I've had this bug reported but haven't narrowed down why yet. One person fixed it by not using a KVM anymore, which is odd. if you can figure out the cause or a workaround with GUI Scale, perhaps, let me know with a ticket: http://tinyurl.com/jmticket
Here's why it happens: I need a unique ID for each world, and servers don't provide it anymore. See this and please upvote it to get Mojang to fix it:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-discussion/suggestions/79149-world-uid-for-multi-world-servers

I haven't done builds since 4.0.3 for 1.7.2, but you can find those here:

That makes sense, and the rounded coordinates do match the new waypoint. I assume that the new waypoints are off because they're negative coordinates then?
I'd never had this happen to me before until after I got the 4.0.5 Update. Now it no longer works in multiplayer. I can get the waypoint manager to work in single player but if I press the button in multiplayer it just closes the map. Any idea what could be causing this?
My guess would be you're not on 1208, which was the target for 4.0.5.
Please open a ticket and give me your .minecraft/journeyMap/journeymap.log file after the WM fails to open : http://tinyurl.com/jmticket

Thanks for the quick response but both the client and server are on 1208
Here is the error as soon as I press the waypoints button.

Some people have reported performance issues related to radar. Sorry for the inconvenience. JM 5 has a number of improvements to resolve that problem. Hopefully there will be a public beta within a couple of weeks.
