I made a rookie mistake. When I created a new instance to test things I forgot everything defaults to the original values. So instead of have 3 gigs of ram set to minecraft I had 500 megs. It ran fine after setting things to my usual settings.
I can't see my waypoints on the full-screen map either, like the person above me. Is everyone having this?
On the minimap I can see everything perfectly fine though.
Just checked and can confirm that waypoints don't show up on the full map for me. This is on MC 1.6.4 and using the unlimited edition. Also confirming I had beacons turned on. They show up fine on the mini map though and you can see them in game I tried moving on top of the waypoint and moving very far away to see if a arrow would point to the waypoint, neither worked.
I think someone already reported this but I might be remembering wrong. I did a search and didn't see anything but the search on minecraft forums seem to be broken. The search didn't pull up this post I'm replying to.

Double-check that Options -> General Display -> Waypoints is turned on for the full-screen map. If it is, check the JourneyMap log file and see if there are errors. If so, please open a ticket and attach the log. http://tinyurl.com/jmticket

I just found the bug causing this. I'll probably do a quick release to get the fix out, hopefully by tomorrow.
Any chance of getting a 'teleport to waypoint' feature that just uses standard commands? Or just something to type /warp to a location for you? It's a little awkward to jump back and forth between the screens to make a teleport.
Sorry if it's already a thing and I'm just missing it, the new search function for the forums doesn't seem to work very well.

You can use CTRL-B to open the Waypoint Manager directly from in-game, then click the Teleport button of the Waypoint you want to go to. As far as adding some (I assume you mean) text commands, I'm open to it. If you're really interested, please open a ticket for me to track the feature request: http://tinyurl.com/jmticket

I was wondering if that qick fix was also going to be for 1.6.4? If you have changed your dev environment already and have no way of going back, then there is no point in fixing it. I know you said 1.6.4 support is done. I was just wondering if you meant no new features, but some bug fixes maybe?

But otherwise
I did say that, didn't I. But I've decided to keep doing bugfixes for 1.6.4 just a little while longer. I have a code branch for 1.6.4, 1.7.2, 1.7.10 (4.0.0) and 1.7.10 (4.x).... it's a bit much. So new features will only go into 1.7.10 or later.
The 4.0.2 release I'm putting out hopefully very soon (this week) will have identical bugfixes for 1.6.4, 1.7.2, and 1.7.10. The 1.7.10 version will also play nicely with Realms.
I think that if at all possible it would be great to have the waypoints account specific in addition to IP/location.
journeyMap/data/mp/Roalith/server_0
or
journeyMap/data/mp/Roalith.server_0
Edit, also forgot my daughter had a suggestion and wanted to ask about adding an option to disable the border around players/mobs/animals on the maps. She is talking about the green or other outline. I have to agree that this is also the only option we really miss from our previous minimaps!

If you're using multiple accounts, it's better if you have multiple .minecraft folders:
1. Make a copy of .minecraft and give it a name like .minecraft_Roalith
2. Use the Minecraft profile editor and make a new profile that uses the new .minecraft_Roalith folder
Now any maps, waypoints, GUI settings, prefs are unique per profile.
As for outline, I assume you mean the grey, red, or blue directional indicators? I don't know about any green ones.
I have a feature request to make them optional, and I'm aiming to get that put into 4.1
I will see about having multiple FTB installations for each account. Our issue was that we have 3 desktop computers and 4 very regular players with about 8 additional friends and family that play occasionally on the same 3 machines with my kids.

I just started using JourneyMap, and I followed the above instructions but I don't see a Teleport button. Single-player 1.7.10 world, JourneyMap Unlimited 4.0.2 for 1.7.10, Forge 1.7.10-10.13.0.1186, cheats are on. Everything seems to be working fine, but the only buttons I have in the Waypoint Manager are Find, On, Remove, and Edit. The only settings I've changed (in-game, I haven't touched the config files) are to turn some of the mob tracking off and make the minimap bigger, but it's entirely possible I disabled something by mistake (shouldn't be messing with new mods when I'm tired!).
Any help would be appreciated, and I'd be happy to provide more info if it would help.
quick question but is there any way you can view the whole world. Like i wanted a map viewer to see where i haven't explored and where to go for new chunks because the 1.8 update is coming up. Is there a feature for that?
EDIT: OH GOD SORRY theres a auto mapping didnt see dat great mod btw hmmmm it would be a cool feature to reload certain chunks kind of what world edit does, just a suggestion

Teleporting works only in creative... (Both single and multiplayer though)

That will impossible. (Even Amidst can never show a whole world, if you want to see what is where).
Keep in mind that the world can reach 30 million blocks in each direction! That is 60 million by 60 million blocks in total...
So it's kind of hard to predict what is explored and what isn't. (If you TP-ed to 25000 66 25000 and explored there, then went back to 0 66 0, the map would be huge with big black area in between).
oh no i meant as in areas/chunks that you have already been explored, that way i know what direction to go if i want new chunks. I just wish there was a way to reload a chunk for example, a chunk that was created before the 1.8.0 update wont have the specials stones like diorite and granite BUT if you could some way use a map editor and in a sense reload certain chunks. It would save so much time and be more convenience.

Thanks for the response!
Also, we do indeed have green outlines!

Thanks for the info! It seems I was misinformed; very disappointing.
