Everything has been updated to 1.0 except the Bukkit version. Dies are now made up of materials, such as stone, wood, etc.
I've stumbled across this very interesting mod today. It is called PKTrading. (It's under the "Secrets" section.) I would really like this trading system to be added into the mod. I have contacted the maker and am waiting for a reply. I have not tested it myself, but if it does what it claims to, it should be good. I encourage you to check it out and tell me what you think. I said "I" way too many times.
Note: If you make a texture pack or video about this mod, PM me and I'll post a link. Also, if you are interested in using this mod in a mod compilation, you DO NOT have permission unless I say so. Read the License at the bottom.
BTW: Thanks for the 300+ downloads everyone!
Hello everyone. I, Jsn_man, have created a mod that adds currency to SMP and SSP (and Bukkit). There are thee types of currency: Quincunx, Denarii, and Aureus. (The coins have Roman names!)
This should be pretty self explanatory. You can use these to trade with others and buy things. They are crafted using a special machine, called a Coining Mint. The recipes are as follows:
Crafting Basic Components:
Die: You will need this basic component in all of the coins' recipes. This one is iron, but you can make others, like wood and stone. Don't worry, one die is good for more than one coin, you'll see...
Stone Blank: The most basic blank.
Iron Blank: One step up from stone.
Gold Blank: The most powerful blank.
Coining Mint: The device that turns blanks into coins.
Making the Coins:
To make any coin, you will use the coining mint. You can set it up like this: the top slot is for the die, the left slot is for the blanks, the bottom slot is for the fuel, and the right slot is the output. I barley understood that, here are the pictures:
Quincunx:
Denarii:
Aureus:
So, here's how it is. The die gets damaged every time you mint a coin. Iron can mint 32, stone is worse, and wood is worse than stone. Diamond is the best. See, not so bad?

Change the recipes, the gold coins only cost 36 cobblestone... servers prices would seem way to high for a noob so they might quit forever. maybe 9 cobble so that it is more than a stack for a gold. otherwise if its 10 gold for a diamond, thats only about 5 stacks, an easy mining trip.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
But otherwise, an amazing, simple mod. the new iconomy

The gold coins are supposed to be hard to get. And anyway, a diamond wields 15 gold coins.

Change the recipies so it's like,
iron == Denarri
gold == Aureus
or something.
Using cobblestone to make everything and smashing the coins together to make a better one is a little cheap.

nvm, looked at the new images.
That's how it works in pretty much every game to ever feature Copper, Silver, and Gold coins.
Edit: Well, except for the Cobble part.
Edit 2: What is it used Stone instead of Cobblestone?
There are more recipes and because you said this I am now uploading the images.

Can we get a description of a lot or all of the recipes?
Also, will anyone that plays on the server need this mod to be able to even join?
Hey, I'm new here.

There's a fix for this though.
Disable
2 bronze = silver
4 silver = gold
Just get rid of these recipes and balance will exist.
