TYKEN I LOVE YOU i wanted a mod like this to have more variant of certain textures i want a artificial glowstone look but in the nether where it looks natural so when you add a config file where you can make lets say 5 blank block glow like glowstone and also the ability to change change recipe in config file so i can make artificial glowstone with glass and glowstone :smile.gif:

I think for now i'm going to start really simple and make it where everything is pre-set. Eventually I would love to add an ingame gui that allows you to change the name, block ID, and properties of each block while in game. however that is much more advanced.
Status Update: New Glass and glow blocks will be in the next update. I want to add steps but..Still trying to figure it out. I've got a working step but it draws from 3 different png files so I still have to play around with it to get it to draw from one.
I was thinking of waiting till 1.8 to release more blocks but I may go ahead and release it soon.
This is great, but two things - PLEASE add some blocks that allow more dimensions. Instead of just 1 for all sides, add a different possible texture for each side, the bottom and the top please. Also allow transparency if they don't.
For example, I want a table block - the 4 sides as the legs and the top as the surface of the table.
Hmm interesting idea, I think i can pull off multile sided blocks. I could also make all the current ones support transparency. Will work on that.
Quick question to my users. Would you prefer if the existing blocks had transparency support? or should I add a whole new set of blocks for transparent/semi-transparent blocks?

A whole new set of blocks with them
I like the blocks I made and there is a pic from my last post
Amazing mod... This has inspired me to learn how to create textures. Many thanks to my favorite minecraft commentator, Tyken132. 1 question though, how would we get them to be HD textures?
Edit: Check out these very random and mediocre textures I made!

simple really, either paste an hd texture over it and expand canvas to fit, or simply double the size till you reach the size you want (eample, 16x, 32x, 64, 128, etc) though I'm not sure if you need the HD patcher or not.
Can't at the moment but I plan on adding a config file that will hopefully let you do much more than just change the names.
Sounds great. My lad and I have been following your video's for some time. We cut our teeth on Minecraft with thanks to your survival video's. IT all seems so long ago now.
I've just finished creating a whole new style to Minecraft using Zombe's mod to change recipes to allow cooking of food and a different style to starting a new game. Oddly enough it meant removing 11 of the dyes while creating direct 'dyeing' of wool instead so that i could make use of the item slots. Then of course because I was 'smelting' 5 recipes, including existing ones I had to do a bunch of re-shuffling of other items because if you smelt a dye, all the other dyes will smelt that same item.
Clearly I could have used your mod to help in this mammoth task, especially with the 'new' blocks I created from some of the coloured wool. Now that i no longer have many of the dyes used in your mod, I will need to create new recipes using other materials which will be simple enough combining the power of Zombe's with your mod once i have the block ID's your mod uses.
I'll try and see if editing the EN_US.lang file in Minecraft will allow me to rename your blocks once I have successfully installed your mod. Hopefully it will work with my other mods. Sometimes there's a clash even though there is no ID clash and I then have to prioritise which mod is the more important on to me. If it works I'll let you know as it might help you to figure a way for others to rename their new blocks as well.
Personally I don't like using 'cheat' mods that make the game easier. I only use the sections of Zombe's that don't give me something for nothing along with Vazkii's Ebon mod and Rei's minmap and Daft's score. Even then I don't start using the minimap until my score has reached 5000.
If you haven't seen Zombe's mod then I'd suggest you take a look at it as it has features in the recipe section that might help you figure a way also to customise the blocks individually to allow for breakage, light emission/reduction etc.
Well done on this mod, I look forward to trying it out. Clearly I would have been happier if I'd found this mod before the last weeks exhausting trial and error work I've just gone through.....
Hey just wondering. If you do add multi-sided texture block can you try to make it one .png for each block? [So a 48x32 png file] If you could pull that off then technically you could combine all textures together.
But yes I do believe that you should make a separate set for transparent blocks.
Awesome mod, and can't wait for more sets!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Well I -suppose- I should write something here. But I also should make a new account D<
Goddamn do I hate this name z_z

Those are pretty good, but the steve face scares me..
oh and just make the png bigger(I.e. go from 16x16 to 32x32 and double each time you want to go up one level)
Quick question to my users. Would you prefer if the existing blocks had transparency support? or should I add a whole new set of blocks for transparent/semi-transparent blocks?
If you add 'glass' like transparency to all the blocks, the user can then choose how they want their blocks to look. A transparent block can be rendered opaque but an opaque block can't be rendered transparent.
As for my research into renaming blocks using Zombe's, no luck I'm afraid, your numbers are locked into place. I was however able to create new recipes for making the various blocks as well as removing the default ones. At least that's something, as I mentioned in an earlier post that I have changed some of the dyes into other items.
I think for now the most important thing would be to create a config file for us to rename the blocks and stairs for better identification within the game. Configurable recipes, although desirable could be added later. For anyone wanting to change the recipes now they can simply use Zombe's to edit out the existing 4 cobblestone recipe and make up their own for each individual block.
That seems pretty advanced...I'll start small with a config file.

It should, since it doesn't change any default classes. However I still need to test that theory.
