Exalm, FYI, after seeing this post, I was unable to replicate the results (not the floating lava, though, didn't look for that) on r53.
Also, I've encountered this bug. Transparent Ghasts!
Mods in use:
Rei's Minimap
Single Player Commands
Too Many Items
Old Days Mobs, Gameplay, and Actions
NBXLite (r53, but I've had the issue on other versions of the mod)
Sound Mod Enabler
Enderman Don't Pick Up Blocks Mod

On a jar with the same mods (minus Old days and NBXLite) this issue doesn't occur, so I think it's one of yours causing it.
OMG. I changed ghast look (To make them unshaded with classic light), but did not make them transparent.

btw are you able to use old sounds in OldDays?
I probably could. I just don't because I've used Sound Mod Enabler with a retro sound pack since the new sounds were implemented, and I guess I'm just used to using it by now.
Oh, by the way, about the guy who wanted the old shift clicking: if you did that, I'd totally use it. I couldn't tell you how many times I've accidentally crafted something I didn't want because of the new shift clicking.

Just tested. Ghasts are not transparent for me.

Glitch — did you notice ugly sand/grass borders on beaches in Alpha and Beta?

The olddays mod is dead, sorry to tell you.
The far lands generation was epic, why not re-add it?
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would
go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them,
copy & paste this into your signature and hope it happens.

Why does the lighting look weird in the water next to the beach?
Well, the beaches before was not a biome. The zones where they generate was squared, so when you don't have a second level (I mean, when the land is in the same height than the beach, like in the photo) you can see the beach limit.
I found this photo in Google. Actualy the mod is Generator Ports, a mod that put old generators, like NBXlite (anyway, NBXlite is Better :D). But the lightning problem underwater was the both mods, Exalm already fixed it in the last dev of NBXlite.

I wouldn't say Nbxlite is better they are 2 different things, not competitors. Generator Ports offers just generation of older versions while nbxlite adds animal spawning, more generators, and other miscellaneous stuff. I like them both =D I really want nbxlite to add the option to add rain in alpha as generator ports did.

I also think nbxlite is better, I don't even like rain in MC too much.
Also, does generator ports have far lands in pre-beta 1.8 worlds like nbxlite does?

If you go where the farlands were (24 millon blocks?) The game still slows drastically because of how the worlds are saved.
I actually have a world save in the farlands, and its not lagging me. Because even if its the farlands, in beta 1.8 and later, a lot of the glitches are fixed, so gravel and sand don't fall as infinitely as they used to. Plus, mojang even fixed some of the lag, (maybe). So, unless you have some floating sand that's not being supported by anything that you placed, and its actually rendered, your game will run as smoothly as in the normal world.

I will add rain option for custom generator (I wrote about it 1-2 pages ago).
It will be like Weather: None/Random rain/Eternal rain/Random snow/Eternal snow

Actually it is why I tried to fix it again. In current generator sea level is 63, in old ones is 64, on top of Anvil section. So water is exactly on top of chunk, causing glitches. I fixed it by generating additional section over water, even if it's empty.

Beaches can consist of grass (or other biome block in Beta), sand and gravel.
Of course, they have borders. They are meant to be smooth, and they are in Infdev. But for some reason their x and z coordinates are swapped in Alpha and later versions, so beaches on each chunk are turned to 90°. If you make a map, go to glitched area and rotate each chunk, you will get smooth border, like deserts have.
I can't throw Ender Eyes in 1.2 generation with NBXLite/OldDays (Not sure which)...tested with survival and creative modes on the same world, with the latest versions of both mods. In previous posts you said that you didn't modify the Eye of Ender itself, so is it a bug with 1.2 generation itself?

Ender eyes use one method from generator. I forgot about this when I said that. So it's a bug and I'll fix it.

So did I. I'm thinking it might be a minor mod conflict or something like that.
Interesting... I fixed it. All I did was replace the old days installaion with the all-in-one version.
Sometimes they are transparent for my on vanilla

IDK if is the same than Alpha 1.2.0 and Beta 1.2 worlds, but looks similar.
So, its a mix of each one, huh?

I think that would be hard to test.
On another note, does the Farlands still give extreme lag, or will it run smoothly like now?

That mod should have it, as they are bug of generator.] It's exactly same even in 1.7.3.
It's also like that on stone-only areas in 1.2.5.
And in Alpha 1.2.0-Beta 1.3 deserts are also like that.
