They'd have to be really rare, I shouldn't be getting several stacks each mining trip. At most there should be like, maybe 4 or 5 each long mining trip. But perhaps they shouldn't all just be ores? Maybe you find fire stones spawning near lava or water stones being found in oceans or small bodies of water.
I dont really mean on he level of like how much coal you would find, because i don't believe it should be as easy as walking next to a mountain to find one, but more like on the level of iron/gold, because too hard is no fun and you'll probably just give up on stones seeing as they're not as useful as diamonds (i Would) and iron is findable but not very easily in the beginning and if you don't take long trips you wont find much. i think the best option would be as hard as iron because that way its not too hard to get them but hard enough that you don't have like an unlimited supply, but making it as hard as gold is fine, that way it is findable but not too easy.

Leaf Stones should be found under Jungles
Water Stones should be found at the bottom of oceans
Fire Stones should be found near Lava
Moon Stones should be found VERY RARELY on the surface of plains
Thunder Stones should be found Randomly like normal ores

Iron's pretty common, dude.
Keep in mind that they're going to be buyable from the stores as well, so however rare they might be, they're still attainable through the market. If they're incredibly rare, the merchant availability would offset this somewhat and result in a fairly balanced system for them... but if they're too common, people are just going to wind up with loads of them and nothing to use them on.

well i didn't know that before, also iron is not rare, i agree, but its not as common as coal which is ound like every 5 blocks, i mean eventually they stack up but if you consider the amount of types of stone then your 32 stack of iron turns into a 3/4 stack of leaf stones 6 stack of water 2 stack of fire, see what i mean? if not then gold is fine, idk but anything other then gold is too hard if you ask me.
That makes it a pointless post and therefore spam...
Not spam, it would be if I said "Post this Bla bla bla at bla bla bla pages within bla bla bla minutes/hours or tomorrow bla bla bla. Just replace the bla-ness with things that people would spam like that.

First, loose the caps. Its annoying.
Second, read the rules and you will learn that sharing minecraft jars isn't allowed.
Third, read up on how to properly ask for assistance and how to provide a proper error report, otherwise its all guess work and chances are nobody will be able to help you.
