Help, please. My son is using the 1.7.4 / 1.7.3 release and wants to have the minimap installed. We are using a Mac and I have tried to save the zip file in the mod directory and it crashes. Then I have installed forge with 1.6.4 version, modified the jar file and creating a new profile but without success.

Please, could someone recommend us a solution? Or just telling us the best video or instructions to follow. Most of them are talking about the bin directory that does exist in our versio. Thanks in advance.

Simple answer is wait until a 1.7.2/1.7.4 release comes out. The current version will not work.

Please help...

I feel like he abandoned the mod on the English Forums... If only there was a source code, unless there is one that is released

Just be happy that there's people who wants to post updated links so we can use the mod. At least we got Beta instead of nothing.

I wouldn't download that. There's nothing in the Japanese forum thread about 1.7.2 or a beta, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Rei has ever actually done a beta.

While I haven't found any news besides this, I went ahead and downloaded the file (Yes, I took safeguards against a possible virus) and it is in fact a version that works with 1.7.2.

I still think it's suspicious. There's no official news and the person who posted it, that's their only post. If it does work, great, but I feel like I should stand by my decision to report the post, just to be safe.

Okay, well, I stand corrected then. I apologize if I offended anyone, but I hope you can all see why I did what I did. I'm sorry.

when using magic launcher, it works with 1.7.2 but crashes with 1.7.4. can't get it to work with 1.7.4 the old way of putting it into the .jar file either.

I was also suspisious, but I managed to find his tweet about it. It's the same link.

While the mod works great for single player... I do have a bug to report when using with Bukkit servers (it is in beta so bug reports are necessary).

Cave mapping will not turn on when the motd is changed in either commandbook or essentials. And while I realize the error could be on either of those two plugins I feel it necessary to report it here as well.

You use the 1.7.2 beta? The Depht MapMask is broken, which practically makes the round minimap broken. You have to use Stencil MapMask.
