Lol, I accidentally discovered how to get away from the golem.
I got up the to the platform and the golem hit me with a ranged attack it made me fall down the stairs, I then waited a second, went back up and found out he fell to a lower floor. I pretty much sniped em with arrows and he couldn't attack me nor did it activate "Apocalypse Stomp".

So is your mod compatible with these mods? Please test it out yourself. And yes I did DELETE META-INF. Is the singleplrayer commands mod the one thats incompatible?

Just as the poster above you, you failed to read the instructions, and if you read the instructions I don't understand why you thought it would be okay to skip a required mod.
Required Stuff to have installed beforehand (client and server!!):
It lists two mods. It says CLIENT and SERVER, meaning even if you aren't playing online you need both. I semi apologize for being mean but I'd wager that 90% of the "help" posts on this website are people who didn't bother to install the required mods.
Ahh please Help For me it's not working I think I put everything in proper folders...I dont get black screen or anything...Meta-inf is deleted I have other mods like spawner.gui and spc working I dont know why this isn't I really need help my Freinds say this mod is awesome I really want to try it....Please Post A tutorial.

He's not that hard, I actually downed one of them in about 20 strikes from a diamond sword. Also, if he falls off the tower, the crumble doesn't actually effect the tower, but just whatever ground he's on. But the crumble does look really awesome on the tower, leaving sort of that ruins look. Are there supposed to be random holes in the floors leading up to the Golem? And the fight with the Golem isn't too interesting, but I'm not sure what other mechanics could be done to make it feel more epic.
And, maybe if possible, make it so not all of the blocks drop from the tower when it's destroyed and have it destroy the chests, so if you don't grab the loot it isn't there later.
Seems maybe the ground "crumbling" below the Golem when he's off the tower was an isolated thing, it happened again and the tower crumbled just fine.

Hey running into an issue with the boss fights. I've been able to start a few, but about half way into it minecraft totally freezes. No error report (even when running an error test batch and reading through the console) or any other indication of what might be causing it.
I have several other mods installed currently, including BuildCraft, IndustralCraft^2, BetterThanWolves, EquivalentExchange, and some other miscellaneous mods (Not Aether which i've read as being involved in some other freeze situations), but modloader and modloader mp are both installed, meta inf is deleted, etc. All of the other mods are seemingly working correctly the only time i get this issue is when i am locked in mortal combat with a tower golem (no issues moving through the tower either, I'm doing fine until I hit the boss, it only seems to happen when looking directly at the boss).
I apologize if this question has been answered elsewhere, I've read through this topic and a few others but haven't noticed anything relevant to this release that had any solution to my issue. I really wish there was some way to get an error report for this but unfortunately nothing i've tried has actually produced one, its just sitting there locked up.

is there a tower that doesn't explode after i kill the golem?? i wanna use it to exploit a mob farm. i hope certain towers doesn't need the energy of the golem to stand up.. makes it worth the hunt :wink.gif:
I've "killed" two golems in my current world so far. Both times, fighting them on top of the tower turned out to be nearly impossible, as they would Apocalypse Stomp me off the top of the tower (falling to my death) nearly as soon as they became aware of me. The Stomp appeared to trigger not just when the player is hiding in the stairs, but about as often as the regular fireball, during normal face-to-face engagement. Both times, I had to bring the golem down to ground level to make them fightable at all (one fell off the tower on its own, the second I used a water bucket on), and pretty much had to cheat to kill them (airship + fire/lightning/explosive arrow spam for the first, peaceful mode + about a third of a diamond sword (500ish hits? Around 2500 HP?) for the second). The topmost chests were smashed during the fights, and I'm pretty sure I saw diamonds drop, but the diamonds themselves didn't survive the Stomp-ing (or the rest of the armor/equipment I was carrying - Death Chest only kept my gear safe briefly, before being broken (scattering contents) and then the contents destroyed on the next stomp.)
The tower rooms leading up to the golems were fun, but the golems seem a little overpowered, being able to two-hit kill you with full diamond armor and destroy their own "prize". These guys made Israphel look like a wimp, and Israphel was a teleporting arrow-spamming nigh-immortal jerk. (But at least Israphel had the decency to temporarily die when he exploded your house. :biggrin.gif:)
This may also be the result of the change in the food system - pre-1.8, eating food to heal mid-fight was a viable strategy, and instant-heal potions are a 1.9 thing. Even so, they still stomp way too much, IMHO.
Kodaichi's earlier versions of this mod used to be a lot of fun, but I think a decimal point or two got moved during AtomicStryker's conversion. I will uninstall this for now, but will watch for further updates.
I've slain several Golems for testing purposes and find them entirely beatable. Just spam jump for those critical hits and don't even think about fighting like a wimp with so-called *ranged* weapons.
Of course, if another mod changes all mobs to have double health or attack or something like that golems will become that much harder.

You didn't follow the instructions, this mod requires you to use ModLoaderMP, that's why it's not working.
