Hello, I'm trying to download these mods using magic launcher & I'm on 1.5.2 with forge. However when I add any of these mod zips , it's showing up as "no mods found" . I have other mods installed that work with forge and everything works just fine so I'm not sure how to fix this if anyone knows ? ; ;
Letting you guys know that I've been updating my smaller mods to 1.7.2 all day and am about 85% finished. Having some texture issues that I should be able to resolve soon. I'll then be testing to see if they run correctly on the client and not just in my Eclipse. I'd like to have them out by tonight, but I can't promise.
Mods I'm talking about: BoneCraft, Clay Spawn, DesertCraft, Extended Glass, Get all the Seeds, Random Plants, Simple Recipes, and Temperate Plants.
Mods that will be updated to 1.7.2 when I can: HarvestCraft and Weee! Flowers
Mods not mentioned will not be updated past 1.6.4 due to now existing in Minecraft itself (Melon Spawn, Huge Mushroom Spawn, etc).
The mods above will not have Thaumcraft support for 1.7.2 (because it's not out obviously), but I'll put the commented code in, so I can quickly turn it on when he updates.
Remember, once I release the 1.7.2 mods, I'll be making a new forum thread for them. Please keep all 1.6.4 and below comments here and all 1.7.2 comments in the new thread. Or I will beat you with a sock.
Will there be a final, full translatable version of HarvestCraft for 1.6.4?
HarvestCraft 1.6.4a is about as translateable as I can get it right now. I have no idea how to make tile entities and my fruit block stages work with it.

If possible I would like to have on option in the new version:
Would you be so kind to make a config entry that would allow a person to disable the plate recipe with 8 glass blocks?
It conflicts with the buildcraft tank recipe and I sadly have yet to find a way to work arround it.
Since it got two recipes anyway I think it would not be a bad thing to have it as an option :3.
That actually has a config option, and it should always be set to false to help with conflicts with BuildCraft.

The other strings are not replaced with the proper translation, they stay English. However, if I remove the substring .name, the translations are applied, with the suffix .name added to them.
As I investigated and decompiled your files, I noticed that you are using the LanguageRegistery.addName() commands to set up the English names. If you could get rid of those commands and move the localized strings to an en_US.lang file, everything should be fine. As far as I know, Minecraft 1.6.4 tries automatically to load an appropriate .lang file from an assets/lang folder.
The files that have the LanguageRegistery stuff shouldn't be loading anymore, as I commented out their calls in the main mod file. Weird.
Well I deleted the FoodNameRegistry and the OtherNamesRegistry file from the .zip file and tried to start up Minecraft. It did not work so at least one of those files is still called.
That's a Google cache of the page as it was way earlier today when it was working. Posting it here in case the original post eats itself again. So frustrated. At least the 1.7.2 post works fine!
The real question is why do we need another thread?
Because this thread is huge and full of answers to bugs that no longer exist in 1.7.2, especially with the way Minecraft is heading (no Block or Item IDs, etc). Also, as you can see, every time I try to update this thread's original post, it goes crazy and turns all weird, making me have to fix it.
is there a way to stop harvestcraft plants from spawning in galacticraft dimensions?
i have so many plants up there...

A good way to do this would be for Pam to set it so that it only spawned in a dim_id of the Overworld.
Or... for her to set up the option for someone to set other dimensions spawn to false in the config by using the above method.
Having these plants spawn on Mars is just... /:
All that it would take is to add code that says if dimid != 0 then no spawn and if you want it to be optional then have it added in the config so that people can set that to true and normally have the config option set to false.
But what if you want plants in other dimensions, such as mystcraft ages?
Specifically, what if your server is based around "No modgen in the overworld, you have to go exploring to find stuff"?
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?

Question: What is the use of a cutting board, when it's placed down? Or is this an up coming feature?
Use it as a crafting table for recipes that show using it...you just dont have to put a cutting board in the recipe. So if it says for example to use a cutting board, a chicken, and a bowl then all you have to do is use the cutting board and only put in a chicken and a bowl and it will give you the same results as if you used a normal crafting table and added in the cutting board.
Disclaimer: I don't think the above recipe is a real one so don't try it at home...or do...really up to you i guess...whats the worst that could happen?

Curse PremiumBecause this thread is huge and full of answers to bugs that no longer exist in 1.7.2, especially with the way Minecraft is heading (no Block or Item IDs, etc). Also, as you can see, every time I try to update this thread's original post, it goes crazy and turns all weird, making me have to fix it.

Use it as a crafting table for recipes that show using it...you just dont have to put a cutting board in the recipe. So if it says for example to use a cutting board, a chicken, and a bowl then all you have to do is use the cutting board and only put in a chicken and a bowl and it will give you the same results as if you used a normal crafting table and added in the cutting board.
Disclaimer: I don't think the above recipe is a real one so don't try it at home...or do...really up to you i guess...whats the worst that could happen?

Use the flowers and more importantly spawn the flowers with the flowering traits. I already found out, it doesn't work, sadly.
