I love this mod...it's absolutely fantastic that you offer something with this depth for free. I'm not exaggerating when I say that you are one of the most talented mod creators out there today.
I'm having trouble with a couple of things though...many recipes are not working in my game. I can't craft zombie jerky, butter or dough, for example. What should I do? I'm following the recipes exactly as they are shown on the Google document.
I'm considering making a PayPal donation in future, when I have cash to spare.
Thanks
Usually if something is adding up right for crafting you usually have an item ID conflict. Gonna have to look at your forge logs and search for "CONFLICT". Exactly that, but no quotations, recommend using Notepad ++ to do the editing comes with a search tool when you press Ctrl + F. I also would recommend getting into the habit of checking your logs for conflicts every time you add or update a mod.

u can also get craft guid and c what the recipes are (if it was conflict with other mods u have it will show some random item instead of what is required, for example a recipe requires a seed but instead it shows a box part from the guncus mod)

So I'm getting some weird conflict between Forestry and HarvestCraft on 1.6.2, I've tried updating them both to their latest versions but there's something strange happening when I go to the search bar and type "sil" or when I click on the Forestry tab in the creative menu. Everything works fine with one or the other of these mods and they both work fine with other mods...
The weirdest bit is that using NEI, all items render properly and typing "sil" into the NEI search bar works perfectly fine. Weird!
Some of the recipes have changed from the google document. Dough and jerky recipes have changed. Dough I know requires mixing bowl instead of cutting board now and I think jerky doesn't need salt anymore. Or was it the bone stuff. In either case, changelog will show it.
I dragged the HarvestCraft zip file into the "mods" folder of Minecraft. I use Magic Launcher and Forge. But it shows up as 'no mods found'. I'm using everything on 1.5.2 version (ML, Forge, Minecraft, HarvestCraft) Help plz?
Hello there, sorry nobody's helped you yet.
Could you tell me what you have in your mods and coremods folders, along with how you installed Forge? It sounds to me like Magic Launcher isn't picking up the right minecraft.jar file, though I'm not familiar with MC.
Also, could you try launching using the new launcher? If you use Forge's installer after running 1.5.2 with the new launcher, Forge will create a profile for itself, which directs the game to use the modded minecraft.jar.

Hello again Synth! well what you said only works with release 1.6.x and up.
I recommend he tries MultiMC, it is a great tool and in my opinion better than magic launcher
Hello again!
That's weird. 1.5.2 ran for me when I did it that way.Ah well.
You can use the new launcher for 1.5.2, and run mods. The only difference is the new launcher won't create separate profiles for 1.5.2, and will use the same mods folder for each one (even if you go through the same process as making a profile for 1.6).
So if you want or need multipe mod setups for 1.5.2, the new launcher isn't the easiest method to use for that. If you just want to run mods in 1.5.2 and only need one instance of it, then it works perfectly fine.
The water sink looks absolutely awful. Can it be changed to something more water-like?
Got a suggestion?

[Scott]: Things I have managed to get in the last five minutes, in order of ascending importance: cobblestone, planks, lapis lazuli, redstone, gold, coal, diamond. VERY LOST.
Oh, sweet. GUI changes to match the standard scheme!
Of course, now comes the fun of sorting this out with my Faithful pack. Man, the "multiple resource packs" in 1.7 is going to be nice.

How can I make bubbly water? I know that is with the presser but, when I put a beet in it, it makes sugar. However when i put a water barrel it doesn´t make anything

I figured out what was going on. Weirdly enough, there was some kind of itemID conflict between HarvestCraft and Forestry and it didn't cause the client or the server to crash with a normal notification. The server DID send up a bunch of warnings about the ID's but I didn't think to check because I've never seen the client or server continue loading after an ID conflict.

Yeah I've noticed that not only with HC and Forestry, but with so many other mods. A few actually stop loading the game and tell you the ids or save a txt file, but most don't, usually those load but then when you look up an item that's conflicting, the client just crashes. I'm sure with 1.7, this will be a thing of the past, and I hope mod devs don't have to re-write their mods again after this update. #modageddon ... I had to
The best you can do is change the Forestry config, that's if you installed that after HarvestCraft, if not then do the opposite.

Put a vanilla water bucket in the crafting grid to get several buckets of HarvestCraft water (HC water works the same as a vanilla bucket of water, but you get several of them at the cost of losing your bucket). Put the HarvestCraft water bucket in the presser to make it into bubbly water.
FYI, you can change how many buckets of HC water you get per vanilla bucket in the config file.

Is there anyway you could make a backport of your current builds for 1.5.2 for harvest craft, would help so much if your blocks could use tile entities rather than individual blocks I would love to go to 1.6.x but until modpack clients (FTB and Tekkit) have a method for a 1.6.x modpack its just not feasible
